Brookview Apartments

There are many things to say about those property. The poor reviews are true and we definitely tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt. The shady business practices by this management company makes living her feel like a hassel. It's a shame because we really do love our unit but the headache we had to go through to make sure they were holding their end of the deal was like pulling teeth. We did a lot of our own apt fixes to just get things done. The next tenant will be off to a good start. There isn't any employee retention, you cannot get a hold of the office if you need to but they will send an email with your rent statement or if you are late!!! You have to go into the office to speak to someone (if you are even lucky to see someone in the office). There is also a lot of downplay, so beware of that. These rent prices are not even worth paying also (possible price gouging?). This management company also has a bad reputation in NJ. You do not pay for your own water, it's split with the whole building you live in. TOO MANY fees that could be easily covered and used by the management company to repair the parking lot (you cannot see the parking lines), clean up the grounds better and invest in their tenants. A huge disappointment and bitter sweet because we did love our unit and the location but the management definitely left a bitter taste in our mouths.

I lived here for three years in two different apartments. The apartments look nothing like the photos featured in this. Everything is so cheaply made that it all falls apart. Doors do not close all the way drawers are always jammed. My roof started leaking I complained so many times no response. Finally went in person to get someone to help me, and then had to follow up to have someone come look. They never answer the phones or call you back. You must go in person over and over to get anything done. Water gets shut of with no warning as they please. Do not live here.

Don’t move here. Been having issues since before we moved in. There were beer cans is out sink at move/in, water leaks from the ceilings, there are cracks in the ceilings/walls, the flooring comes up and is not level, there isn’t new carpet on move-in, when it rains the water comes in through the windows, there’s a constant draft from the balcony door, the A/C and heating units are useless, we have to flip the breaker if our microwave and coffee maker are being used at the same time, the leasing office is close to impossible to get a hold of. Plowing is awful. The maintenance team is very nice and they try hard, however they are few of them and it’s evident that they cannot keep up with all issues.

I have lived at Brookview for 3 years and FINALLY ended my lease. Pros: Quiet. Can never hear any of my neighbors in my building. We lived on the 4th floor so we never experienced any bugs outside of spiders, daddy long legs and oh invasion of wasps(which will be explained in CONS).Plenty of parking. Cons: AC was broken for almost 2 years. Floors sinking throughout apartment. We lived on the 4th floor and never used our balcony because there was an wasp infestation coming into our place, maintenance came once and did nothing to fix it except replace the screen. Maintenance is horrible for the amount you have to pay. The request system needs to be updated because it's your word against the office and they tend to try to not be responsible. People do not clean up behind their animals, no security in building (i.e doors do not lock and anyone can come in), intercom never worked in 3 years living there. Badly clogged sinks that were never really fixed and water is turned off sometimes without notice. I personally have not recommended this apartment to friends or family.

No one could think this place was five stars. For what you pay (cheaper than the surrounding luxury apartment rentals) you get a decent amount of space, albeit very poorly insulated which leads to high heating and cooling bills. God help you if you have a late night maintenance emergency. Also lots of pot smokers even though this is advertised as a smoke free complex. If you can't pay for more this place is okay but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I absolutely love this Community!! Brookview is a beautiful place to live! It is very quiet considering the fact you may have a dog. The apartments here are very spacious and the grounds are very well kept. I haven't had any problem with maintenance when needed and Since day one Management have always been professional, helpful as well as available.

Great complex with good amenities. Wonderful management. The community is friendly, aware and takes care of the buildings and grounds.

Brookview Apartments is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood, and the apartments are reasonable. However, while living there there were two significant issues for which I have to leave a negative review. First, my second year there it became absolutely impossible to get any maintenance. Any requests were simply ignored. At one point they had one single maintenance employee for over two hundred units. The second issue is that it has been impossible to get my security deposit back. I left the apartment three months ago, I have called, emailed and have gotten no real response. The apartments are fine, but I can only conclude that the property is woefully mismanaged.

These people never answer you phone calls or e-mails. I had to drive to the office to speak to someone. After that i never heard from anyone. Beautiful apartments but management sucks! You will be speaking to the answering services if you need any help. Do even bother with this place!

Beautiful property hidden within the Elkins/Park area. The staff was always helpful and swift in solving any problem we had. If you're new to renting, I'd definitely recommend this as your first stop, as the value you'll find for these apartments can't be beaten.

The renovations are modern, up to date and really nice!

Terribly run apartment complex. Nothing gets done. In 8 months, I was without a washing machine for over 1 month, dishwasher does not work ( floods the kitchen floor- have told them about this and they tried to do some sort of quick fix, but it flooded again so now we decided we would rather not use it and not have to deal with management), had mice in the apartment, and constantly live with second hand smoke coming through the vents from our neighbors. They do not inform you if you have packages waiting in the management office. (have had packages there for over 1 week). I cannot wait until my lease is over.

We would like to say that living at Brookview Apartments has been great. Its quiet, comfortable, and pet friendly. The Management is an Excellent individual you have a problem it is Immediately taken care of. Now maintenance I'll definitely say whatever we need done it gets done and we are very much appreciated for their services. We are glad to have decided to live here everything on one floor, the gym to get fit and the benefits of having a swimming pool whats to complain of. WE LOVE IT HERE!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Brookview Apartments seemed to be a great choice after taking a tour, but I quickly found moving here to be one of the worst desicions I have made. I read really good reviews, and a few negative, but I decided to follow through with my move. Since moving in, I've had countless issues, and it hasn't even been 6 months. The property manager never returns your emails, and maintenance is slow to resolve issues due to there being only one person working. There are many unhappy tenants here, like myself. Do not waste your time and money leasing an apartment here!

I have resided at Brookview for over five years and have been very content here. I live in a one bedroom apartment and the space is wonderful. I love the in unit laundry as well as the private storage room accessible right on my patio. I have two dogs and the complex as well as the close proximity to the wooded path on Tookany Creek Parkway afford us the opportunity for exercise. Brookview also has a fully equipped fitness center and, I hear, plans are in the works for a dog park on site. Maintenance takes care of issues as soon as possible...sometimes a little patience is necessary. Overall, Brookview has been a great experience for me. I would recommend checking it out if you are looking for a new home!

Being a resident since 2015, I wanted to see what residents are saying. With the background of law enforcement, I love to walk the grounds with my wife day and night, meeting neighbors, friends and enjoying the community. During OUR STAY here, WE enjoy THIS community, it works for OUR family. We DISAGREE with some prior post, but that’s JUST us. Wonderful community, you are minutes away from transportation, malls, restaurants, grocery stores and night life. The Community Manager, IS GREAT( Rachel). we have worked together to make things better for this community. And I will continue to seek how WE as a community can make changes to make this place WE WILL CALL HOME A PLACE TO ENJOY.

I have lived at Brookview for 8 years and i am very happy here, are there problems here? yes of course as there is every where but i have made some good friends and i love my apartment and i hope i never have to move.All i ask is that you get the grounds back to their original beauty with lots of flowers and cut the bushes back.Maintenance is very good all i have to say something isn't working and they are right on it.Hopefully the trash problem will work itself out.

Big fan of these apartments! My girlfriend and I have lived here for over 2 years now, and we've never had an issue. Maintenance is very responsive, management is always helpful, and the property is very clean. The price can't be beat, and the location is great. Minutes away from Elkins Park train station (20mins to the city!) and just about a mile away from the heart of Jenkintown, where there is plenty to do. Highly recommend!

My fiancé and I had a difficult time finding the right apartment in the area and feel so fortunate to have found Brookview. From our first interaction with Paulina, we felt welcomed and confident that the office members were there to give us honesty and help. No gimmicks or sales tactics. The area is gorgeous within walking distance of parks and schools in a very nice neighborhood. I would be remiss to forgo mentioning their maintenance team-they are fantastic! Kind, always willing to help and get the job done very quickly and efficiently. We love our apartment and glad we found Brookview!

I have been living at Brookview for about a year now, the location is nice and private and close to Public transit. Since I’ve been there I always get welcomed by a knowledgeable office staff and a smile from the manager. If I ever need help from maintenance, it is always handled with care promptly and professionally. The guys are very respectful and helpful.

Manager staff is not business minded at all, put a higher price on the apartment I originally put an application in for a totally different price. I had to choose a smaller apartment, dark didn’t fill like home at all. Wasn’t an updated apartment. Shouldn’t treat people this way when they paying that kind of money for comfort! I end up going in a different direction, more business minded and sincere complex. Brookview is Bad business. They need a new staff that will treat people with respect and more welcoming.

They do not know how to calculate simple rent. I am not the brightest but I think a 5 year old could run that office better than them. They made errors in statements and act nonchalant about it. They are VERY SLOW to attend to maintenance issues. They would be lovely apartments to live in if the leasing team was qualified to do their job. When I moved in the apartment was gross. They do not inspect each unit before tenants move in. The area is nice and the apartment unit are a great size. All they need to do is get a better maintenance team and leasing office team and they will be fine.

Modern with up to date appliances. Currently upgrading apartments even newer when constituents move out. Grounds are kept up neatly and the maintenance team is phenomenal. Private property in Montgomery County that lends Pleasant, stable and quite environment. The neighbor's are friendly and helpful. Having my rent paid for a year would lend me the opportunity to return to school and achieve sone of the goals that would allow me to help others teach their life potentials. I welcome the much needed help and assistance.

Although the apartment complex is nestled in the suburbs of Philadelphia, the maintenance staff is slow in attending to issues reported. I would recommend the area to others, who want to enjoy the amenities of pool, and gym.
