Located about 14 miles northwest of Downtown Tampa, Citrus Park provides a suburban, old-Florida feel, complete with palm trees and moss-covered oak trees. Citrus Park is a large neighborhood, stretching from Mobley and Hutchinson Roads south to West Linebaugh Avenue. The Veterans Expressway runs through the center of the neighborhood.
Citrus Park is home of the Big Cat Rescue, one of the world's largest accredited cat sanctuaries for abused and abandoned big cats. The rescue offers guided tours of their big cats, which includes endangered cats such as cougars, leopards, tigers, lions, ocelots, lynx, caracals, and bobcats. The Zaksee Parrot Sanctuary is also located in Citrus Park, offering a safe place for exotic birds like macaws, cockatoos, sun conures, and African greys.

KEEP LOOKING!! Do not settle for this place. The agents do not know anything about the property, they do not care about anyone on site. They clock in and clock out. They will tow your car and say there isn't anything you can do about it. They then tell you to park in visitor parking to avoid being towed, but in the contract it says if a resident parks in a visitor parking spot they can/will be towed. The manager does not like to come out of their office. The walls are paper thin. This place is not where you want to live.

Nice place to live! Pretty calm and organized. Lots of walking paths and trees and lakes! Perfect place to raise kids The staff is kind and helpful, Erin and Ashley are great! Always willing to help and caring for the residents.

PROS: - People drive recklessly in the community. - So fast the speed bumps get pulled out of the ground. - People do not stop at the stop signs. - Loitering and prowling is voluminous. - People block the sidewalks. - Large piles of dog poop everywhere. - Piles of trash everywhere. - Bugs and vermin everywhere. - Sometimes there's a very strong toxic waste smell (really bad). - Valet trash does not pick up regularly. - Parked cars block walkways. - Residents and visitors get their cars towed. - People ride bike at full speed on the sidewalk. - Skaters force you off the sidewalk. - Poorly maintained lawn. - A/C always leaking refrigerant. - Paper thin walls (i can hear my neighbors doing it) - Weed smell in almost every building. - Beer bottles on the lawn. - THEY LIKE TO ENTER THE APARTMENT 5 times a year. ALL SORTS OF EXCUSES from fumigation, to fire inspections twice a year, to fire extinguisher inspection, to visual inspection. Just because they feel like it. CONS: - See above.
This place feels like a resort. The apartment is beautiful and bright. The pictures for this advertisement don’t do justice to the place because the palm trees, plants, and shrubs are all mature and more lush now. The grounds are impeccable. There’s a company that comes and mows the lawn every week, but there is a guy that is such a hard worker. He’s a full time employee and boy, does he make this place look nice and tidy with the leaf blower, power washer, picking up here and there. The pools are always clean and well maintained too. About parking. Yes, there are rules to not get towed. It’s a pretty simple rule. Do not park in front of someone else’s garage blocking them and do not park on the curb because you’re too lazy to walk an extra minute. There are clearly marked visitor parking spots. It’s not rocket science. Maintenance is the best. Sweetest guys ever. You put in a request for a service on their app, and they come usually on the same day. Bugs. Ah, bugs. Rest assured I have not seen any and I have lived here for almost a year. There’s a pesticide company that comes every Friday and they treat the outside of all buildings. They even clean up cob webs and whatnot with some long pole brushes. They can come and treat the inside upon request. Gym? Awesome. Everything works and it’s always clean. Including the bathroom. Remember that guy I mentioned earlier? He’s always on top of it. It is a gated community so I feel very safe. Publix, Walmart, gas stations, pharmacy, Upper Tampa Trail (beautiful place) are all under a 10 minute drive. School for kids. The bus stops right in front of the office to pick up and drop off the kids. Very convenient. Tons of kids of all ages in the neighborhood. Front desk. Ashley is very efficient. Top notch and takes care of all needs quickly. Sometimes they have a food truck that comes like Carrabbas. So cool. Also, the big red bus stops by for blood donation. Very convenient. I was not paid to write all this. Lol I’m glad I moved out of Indiana and away from the snow. This place is everything I ever dreamed about in depressionville and then some. Treasure Island, St Pete Beach, Clearwater are 1/4 of a tank of gas away (less than 40 minutes away). Pack a cooler and let’s go! Love it!
Pros - -The office staff is very nice and professional and they respond to your emails quickly. - valet trash - large dog community ( they have dog restrictions ) - they have about two dog parks - they have a pet washing station - maintenance is very quick - The kitchen is amazing - they have garages available - they have two nice pools - Nice gym -Gated place -good school district Cons - they don’t have a kid park - they do not recycle :recycle: - they don’t take big dogs - there are more dogs then kids ( this might be a pro for some) - The walls are thin - before going to the apartments there’s no stop sign , which can be dangerous -traffic is a nightmare at 7am but that’s the area - parking can be difficult But if you work 8am-5pm you should be fine but if do not you might need to walk a little
We just recently sold our house and moved to brookview. We were a little hesitate at first after reading reviews about parking being an issue, but we realized that your car will only be towed if you don't follow the rules they give you. So definitely let your friends know where to park and you just park where you're supposed to and you'll be good. We don't always have a spot right in front of our door late at night (which is expected), but there is always a spot a minute or less away. My dog loves it as well, he is always trying to get out and walk around the complex especially since hes made some friends with other dogs around us. I do want to say that the maintenance guys are so quick. Our dryer stopped working and they were out here same day fixing this so I could finish washing my clothes. If my dryer stopped working at my old house, I would have to wait ages until I could get a repair guy out. All in all, we're very pleased.
Petty, just looking to grab more money. Overpriced for what they offer, there are other newer places with more amenities for the same price. Still have garbage issues. Like I said in title I enjoyed first 6 to 7 months and then it just got worse 0/5
So I just completed my first year living here at Brookview, and just resigned my lease. That right there should tell you everything you need to know. Today, less and less people are resigning their leases, and I was one of them until I moved in here. The landscaping is impeccable, so much so that I actually enjoy going for a walk. Speaking of which, as you walk around you genuinely feel as though you are at some kind of full service resort, and to an extent you are. The gym is awesome (I'm there everyday) and they even have a dedicated yoga/spin room that my girlfriend loves. There are two pools too, which is a nice touch for such a large complex. My unit is gorgeous, and had all the touches I was looking for as a young professional. In unit laundry, stainless appliances, granite, fo hard wood flooring, and double pane windows (this is a big deal in Florida). I see a lot of people are complaining about parking. I can only assume they just didn't follow the rules. My roommate and I, in a full year here, have never had a problem getting a spot directly in front of our unit, and he works night shifts. You would think it would be an issue at 4am to get a spot but it's not. All complex tow, it's a fact of life, and one that's designed for us, the tenants. If I come home and someone who doesn't live here has taken my spot, I expect that situation to be handled. But as I said, they do such a good job that it hasn't been an issue. Oh! One more thing. Maintenance is awesome. And I mean awesome. Every request I put in is tackled same day, or at the latest, the following morning. I even had an AC emergency on a Sunday; the staff was there within the hour and fixed it. Depending on where life takes me, I may even be here for a 3rd year. That's how awesome this place is, and it all starts with the staff. Thank you guys!
This company tows cars from your own garage, the tow your familys car when the come and visit, they kick out your visitors when they come to visit you when you are at the pool enjoyng a nice chat. I have been living here for 5 years , they towed my car with house keys in it and my medication on a saturday night.....
If you like waking up to your car being towed, even though its parked in a residential parking spot, then this is the place for you. Just another example of how little management cares about their tenants. 0/5 stars

The atmosphere of the place is calm and relaxing. I have no complaints or whatsoever with my stay. The service of the staff is good and communication is great. I recommend highly recommend this place.
My and wife and I lived here almost two years. The original management company for the ownership took good care of this place. However since the management changed last March many things are not addressed. The walls in the apartments are paper thin in the complex and because most of the bedrooms are back to back you can hear everything that goes on in the adjoining apartment. The place can be very noisy and because parking regulations are not enforced, it is at times, very difficult to park in the complex. The fitness center is also too small for the size of the complex. I would not recommend this place to anyone as the apartments are not cheap and the residents can be very inconsiderate.
I don't have any negative comments about the apartment. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. The apartment is conveniently located near shops and malls, which is a plus.
Moved in about two months ago and so far No complaints. Very quiet in our apartment and very sweet neighbors. I called maintenance once because my AC didn't seem to be working...I left for work and he called me back within minutes, took care of my problem, and even drove by at a later time the same day to check and make sure my AC was still working well since I have a dog in the apartment. I thought that was pretty impressive. Front office staff can be forgetful with some of the beginning paperwork and things but it wasn't a bad process at all. Location is awesome, your about 15 to 20 min from everything. I think this is the nicest apartment complex in this area for sure... only catch is it's a little pricey.
I just moved into Brookview and I love it. The apartment is wonderful. Lisa and the team at Brookview did a wonderful job helping me get settled in. Such a great location with malls and shops close by. The landscaping is lovely and it feels like a peaceful oasis after a long day.
I like it. Prompt service if any maintenance needed. I recommend.
We moved in a short while ago but I can already tell this place is great. The apartments are condo quality and location is very convenient. We had a few service requests upon move in that were addressed very quickly. They actually care if you enjoy living there and that means a lot. I am looking forward to living here and feel good knowing I'm getting really good bang for my buck.

We just moved in about two weeks ago and we love it. From the high ceilings, spacious bedrooms, awesome kitchen and beautifully landscaped property, we have felt right at home in our apartment. This is also a very convenient space for most everything in the Tampa Bay Area. You are about 15 minutes from just about everything. Loving it!
