We apologize for any inconveniences you may have encountered. We value your concerns and will take them into consideration as we strive to improve our services.
We have lived in these apartments for 2 years. Started out okay but went down hill. We have had a few appliance issues- dishwasher needed replaced when we moved in and the oven was half working. Then we had/still have problems with our freezer staying cold enough. We can’t keep anything that has to stay super frozen in the freezer for long periods of time. And we had several issues with our kitchen sink. Their is so much overflowing trash out of the trash containers, only a few potty stations for pets around the complex, and people are littering constantly. We have crime and drama frequently- fights, shots heard (even directly in front of our apartment building), cars broken into, etc. Lacking in parking space as well. This complex was okay at the stay but is going down! The Good: the apartment itself is pretty good, I love our balcony, our apartment is cozy. Not near enough cabinet space but we have enough kitchen floor space we could have personally bought a kitchen island. Pet friendly, cheaper rent, haven’t had any payment issues, the staff is very nice, they try to put on community events, lots of grass space.

I typically don't write reviews unless it's godawful and this place is just that. Management is a rotating door, they don't have any customer service skills, no sense of urgency, they flat out will stop caring about you once you sign the lease. I am typically pretty understanding since I've worked in Customer Service for 7 years, and work with the public. However, this place has no idea how to treat it's customers. Several times I've gone in there with problems and hardly ever get a solution. Noisy neighbors, gunshots the first 3 months of living here, I have drug addicts neighbors who yell at the top of their lungs at each other at night and people will try to get in your vehicle if you leave it unlocked. I do have some good neighbors but too many negative ones to outweigh the good ones. I typically like to do things in person however when requesting maintenance. Only use the app because if you tell them in person about it they will write it down and forget about it. 3 weeks after that I am just now realizing they did not put in my request for my carpet coming up. I've lived in a lot complexes and this one has by far been the worst one. I would save your money. They are nice size apartments but that's the only plus to living here. Good luck.

This place is gross! They are infested with bedbugs and lie to the tenants and say there is no problem. The office staff even acknowledges management incompetence. If you want to throw away all your belongings then this is the place for you! If the staff does respond it will take them weeks! Please dont fall next victim to this horrible place! If I could give a 0 I would!

I have been living in Brookwood since 2015, and the first apartment we lived in on the top floor was fine! No problems at all, and it was really nice, aside from some of the neighbors. But when we moved into our second apartment on the first floor in September 2017, we immediately found a leak in the hallway bathroom. We have sent in over 20 maintenance requests to resolve this issue since then, and it continued to leak until mold started to grow. They then took out the drywall in the ceiling, "fixed" the leak, sprayed the mold and replaced the drywall. A day or two after this the leak got more severe, the mold started growing back and we were told it was "just mildew," and that they would fix it in a few days. Before they could do that, though, the ceiling caved in and exposed two (or more) years of black mold buildup in the insulation and on the drywall. The smell infiltrated every inch of our apartment, and made it impossible to even be in the apartment without gagging. The emergency maintenance man came in to clean it up with nothing but a dust mask and gloves. I can't speak for the other buildings, but in my opinion this building needs to be completely vacated and either condemned or undergo serious renovations, as even after both leaks were fixed and the drywall was repaired our kitchen sink began to overflow with gray/blackwater. It covered all of our counter, our cabinets and pots and pans. It is clear to me that they do not have the means to deal with huge issues like this and our neighbors above us have been dealing with similar problems. The lack of trust I have for the maintenance leaves me feeling unsafe in my own home. We have waited for them to fix all of these problems and repeatedly been told that they were fixed for so long that I honestly don't believe anything has been solved, although the drywall has been fixed and the sink has been unclogged. I'm scared that everyone in the apartment could have black mold in their bodies and I'm terrified that more of the ceiling will cave in because I simply don't trust that they have actually fixed anything.

After only being a resident of Brookwood for 11 days my roommate his truck was vandalized and attempted to be stolen. The truck is not able to be driven due to needing a new ignition causing him to miss work. I do not feel safe living under these conditions and being constantly worried about my safety. I was informed by the manager that they two security cameras one for the office and one for the pool. None of which face any of the apartment buildings or parking lots. Secondly, the lack of communication between residents and staff is unacceptable. They fail multiple times to inform you of all the utilities that you are responsible for paying. I was told several times, on the phone,in person, and while signing the lease that we are " only responsible for water, trash, and sewage." Nowhere in those three things listed does electric fall. I even took it upon myself to ask a number of times if electric would be paid for by Brookwood Apartments and I received the same answer every time, that Broc and I were only responsible for water, trash and sewage. Lastly, after all these events have been taking place in the past couple days at Brookwood, him and I have decided none of our needs are being met and we would be much better off at a different complex. We go to the leasing office and ask about the fee being waived to break the lease due to the unfortunate events that have taken place, and the manager proceeds to tell us the fee is now four months rent not 2000 which is what is in the lease, and that there is nothing he can do to help us. The customer service that Brookwood Apartments provides is extremely unsatisfactory and exceptionally rude.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! These are the worst apartments I have ever lived in by far. The management team is TERRIBLE, it took me calling FOUR TIMES for them to fix the water leak in my ceiling in the bathroom, and they just ripped a hole and left it for over 2 weeks. They are rude every time you try to talk to them about an issue, the laundry facilities ALWAYS steal your money, and when I brought this to their attention, I was cut off and told I have to call the company that supplies them. There are numerous other apartments, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have hated every bit of living here.
We had the most horrible experience with the management. They were demeaning and rude to us and did not have the decency to give us any notification for multiple situations and forced us an extra $1,000 dollars for a month we would not be living there. They were crass and horrible to me each time I interacted with them and THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU and make you pay more than originally agreed upon. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE - I wish i could give them zero stars. I would not wish this Apartment complex or the management team on my worst enemy.
I have lived here for two years now and overall its been ok. We have a two bedroom one bath that is very nice. We have had some problems with our neighbors. The workers our nice and handle our request and complaints very quickly.
after signing a lease with them and moving into the apartment, it was all down hill. Bugs in the kitchen, a dishwasher that litterally makes the dishes dirtier, patched up carpet, water damage on the walls, extremely loud and uncaring neighbores over me, leaky windows, old in the bathroom that was just painted over, the sink was about to fall in, the shower/tub was peeling and gross. Getting anything fixed took MONTHS! It was a nightmare! do your research! The Standard of living is very low here. We will be moving out ASAP.
The staff of the apartment is easy to contact, and anytime something needs to be fixed by maintenance they are quick to respond. The apartment complex is safe. Everything you need, including stores, mall, entertainment, downtown, and restaurants, is nearby and easy to get to. The interstate is only a couple minutes away. We have not had to many issues with the apartment complex itself. Any other issues, they address as much as they can. It has a decent pool and the remodeled apartments are nice. The staff has worked with me during the complications of military service and deployments making it easier for me to take care of finances. Overall, the apartment is a good choice especially when your in a tough financial situation. Thanks, anonymous.
The apartment needs upgraded desperately. The woodwork looks a bit old and frail. It's not a bad place to live if you don't go out a lot. However, I think it's ridiculous that after 6 months if you want to upgrade to a 2 bedroom you have to pay 2 fees. It's in the same development. It's ridiculous. I also don't feel it's right that the water bill goes by square footage and the number of occupants. The water bill is my main issue. It's hard for a college student to afford a one bedroom when the prices are ridiculously high. For as much as they charge the apartments should at least look nicer than what they are. So, if you're not picky about cabinets, shelves, or closet rackets this place is OK.
