From white-water rafting on the Cheat River to rock climbing at Coopers Rock to shopping for antiques, there's good reason Morgantown is the most popular destination in West Virginia -- add in West Virginia University and the reasons just become more impressive. Morgantown, situated along the Monongahela River, provides stunning views of the Appalachian Mountains -- especially from vantage points like Dorsey Knob. This park covers 71 acres, and the mountain is 1,398 feet high.
Considered a top-ranking research university, WVU was established in 1867 and features several buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Residents of Morgantown can visit the university's Core Arboretum, which is free and open to the public. Residents can also cheer on the West Virginia Mountaineers at various sports events. The Mountaineers compete in NCAA Division I as part of the Big 12 Conference.

Property Ratings at Brunswick Apartments
It's off the downtown area. I like the country feel. I've seen deer, wild turkeys, and hummingbirds. Been here 11 years no plans to move. Today maintenance can in did several repairs excellent work done.
I thought for the price, this place would be okay but once you add in your electricity, water, pet, laundry, and internet, this place is overpriced for the quality of living. I had an issue with mice and still do. They won't do anything about it and told me to get a mouse trap and that it's just because it winter (it's now almost summer). Under my kitchen sink there is plywood acting as one of the walls, of which is not even attatched that leads to underneath the apartment and is probably the reason for the mice. On top of mice, there are ants that don't go away no matter what I do. The pet deposit is ridiculous, they want $400, and that's more than nicer places that you will find in Morgantown.
Property Manager at Brunswick Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you for taking the time to review us. I'm sorry we you weren't pleased with us. We take pride in our community and work hard to make Brunswick a nice place. We'd love to discuss your matters with you to see what we can do to make your stay better. Please give our office a call.
The complex at Brunswick apts. is very quiet and I do not have a single issue with anything here. the staff are friendly and helpful when needed. I have never waited more than a few hours to have any concern taken care of. (there have only been 2 small issues in over a year). My apartment is quiet and I rarely hear a sound. For this area, I feel the value is the best around. These apartments are close to everything I need, but feel secluded and relaxed. Pets are allowed and I have a small dog with plenty of room to walk him. People seem to have good habits here regarding picking up after their pets. I am hoping to relocate to the South soon and can only hope to find a place equal to this one. For the price, one could not do any better.
Brunswick apartment homes are the perfect place to settle in when you are looking for a place quieter than the large student-living complexes in the area. The rent is low for Morgantown, and their pet fees are very reasonable. We love the one-floor setup, and each apartment has built-in shelving and an attic. This has been a great place for my partner and I to begin settling down, and there is plenty of overflow parking right outside of our apartment for guests. We also love that the neighborhood is relatively flat for the area, which makes it a great place to walk the dog. The decor is a little bit dated (somewhat 80's), but the appliances are not as old, and everything is well-kept. I should also mention that I love the ladies that work in the office. I have never felt so comfortable talking to people that work in my complex before, but they are so fun and polite that I never dread calling in for maintenance or turning in my rent. The neighborhood itself is pet friendly and family friendly. Though we seem to be on the edge of town, it is about a 12 minute drive to Ruby Memorial hospital during morning traffic, and we are right off the highway, so we can jump on the interstate and be at any part of the town in no time, which is helpful with Morgantown traffic.
At first I was a little skeptical. An apartment this cheap in Morgantown? But its nestled into a nice quiet little corner of town. Away from all the craziness of the students. Not being right in town was a big plus for me. I don't have to deal with all the student traffic and I'm right off the interstate! I read other reviews that the landlords don't always take your calls..Well that is true..but there's only two of them, and after getting to know them, they are not ignoring you, they're super busy! Penny and Lindsay are amazing. The Maintenance staff is always on top of things and they're all super friendly. If You're looking for a nice quiet apartment complex that has great rates and even better pet fees, Brunswick is the way to go. I couldn't be happier.
We're not in the middle of the city and surrounded by college students, so that's a plus. It's very quiet out here, despite being close to the interstate. I haven't had a problem with neighbors or filth. My only complaint is they're slow to make repairs. I haven't had many but it's a little annoying having to remind them over and over.
When I looked at the apartment online was exactly to a tee that it was exactly what I am looking for. I wanted the apartment so bad and was awaiting for one to become available but due to family emergency I have to stay where I am. It has living room/kitchen combo like I want, laundry room/storage and bedroom along with front porch and back patio. Also, cheap, cheap deposit and can have my dog. I hope when I am ready there will be another apt open. Commute to work would have been perfect also
Will be moving here soon. Excellent staff!! Great amenities!!
These apartments are in a great location close to the interstate. Secluded for children to play. Very apealing from the outside. The office staff are very friendly. I signed a lease with them after visiting the place the very first time.
