Wyncote is about 10 miles north of Downtown Philadelphia. This attractive town is wooded and historic, making it a favorite choice among commuters and students attending the adjacent Arcadia University. Having the Jenkintown-Wyncote Station, one of the state’s busiest SEPTA rail stations, in town makes commuting even easier. The railway station is located near the intersection of Greenwood Avenue and Glenside Avenue.
The Wyncote Historic District dates back to 1865 and includes a variety of Victorian homes, many in the vicinity of Robinson Park. This beautiful green space includes a pond with a fountain surrounded by benches. The Curtis Arboretum is located off Church Road and provides two ponds and a historic hall available for events. While Wyncote does have a few shops, restaurants, and businesses scattered around town, residents will find more options just beyond the town’s borders.
