Corona has a fascinating history with many famous residents, including Dizzy Gillespie, Malcolm X, Louis Armstrong, and Ella Fitzgerald. It’s also the birthplace of Tiffany lamps – Louis Comfort Tiffany, the first designer at his family company, Tiffany & Co., developed his glassmaking technique here in the early 1890s. Corona was founded in 1854, when it was mostly farmland.
