Named for the park and the thriving neighborhood that surrounds it, Wooldridge Park has remained an appealing area in the endless sprawl of Austin. The park itself is one of the city’s four original parks, and is now over 110 years old. Upscale apartments and historic landmarks overlook the green space, including the Old US Courthouse and the John Bremond House.
Wooldridge Square is just blocks away from West 6th St., a center for dining, shopping, and nightlife. Austin’s prominent bike culture means you’re just minutes from the capitol and the river, all without having to jump in the car. I-35 isn’t far though, making a longer commute or a trip outside the city a breeze.
