The neighborhood of Southwest Hills stretches a few miles westward from downtown, making the area popular with residents who work in the central business district. Together with the Council Crest neighborhood, Portland Heights forms an area of Portland known as Southwest Hills. Stroll up to Southwest Hills’ north side to visit Washington Park, which features the Oregon Zoo, the Portland Children’s museum, an arboretum, and the Portland Japanese Garden, all accessible by foot via the park’s tree-lined walking trails.
