Situated on a barrier island off of Long Island’s South Shore, Long Beach is known as the “City by the Sea,” with more than three miles of white-sand beaches and a vibrant boardwalk stretching over two miles long. Beach culture is especially prevalent, with popular activities such as swimming and surfing in the sea, as well as biking and jogging on the boardwalk.
