The quaint, historical town of Church Hill in Richmond, Virginia was named so because the view of James River from Libby Hill so closely resembled England’s Richmond Hill, overlooking the Thames River. Libby Hill Park is one of the three original parks in Richmond with spectacular views of the James River and the city of Richmond. An ornamental fountain and a monument for Confederate soldiers and sailors from 1894 reside in this historical gem.
Patrick Henry’s Pub & Grille, located in the historical Patrick Henry Inn, has wonderful pub food and a charming patio. Proper Pie Co. is a quaint bakery serving a rotating menu of savory and sweet pies. For a cozy, modern bar and grill with wood-fired pizzas and hearty pub food, visit 23rd & Main in Historic Church Hill, or travel over to the Hill Café that’s been serving comfort food and drinks in a cozy bar since 1989.
