No part of Fort Pierce’s South Beach neighborhood sits far from the water, with the Indian River bordering the community to the west and the Atlantic Ocean nestled to the east. South Beach consists of the southern portion of Hutchinson Island, a barrier island just off the coast of Fort Pierce. South Beach, sometimes referred to as Fort Pierce Beach, contains popular outdoor venues like Jetty Park, Jaycee Park, and South Beach Park. Fort Pierce Inlet State Park lies just north of the community while Downtown Fort Pierce is just three miles west.
