Not to be confused with the South Florida city of Miramar (which is over 600 miles away), Miramar Beach is a cozy beach town just east of Destin between the Gulf of Mexico and Choctawhatchee Bay. Tourism is a huge industry, with folks coming in from all over the world to enjoy the beaches, fishing, and golf; the community is also known regionally as the home of Silver Sands Premium Outlets, one of the area’s dominant landmarks.
In addition to the local attractions, Miramar Beach is only minutes away from Eglin Air Force Base, making it a great option for armed service personnel and civilian military employees. The local rental market ranges from inland suburban homes to swanky beachfront condos, with options available to suit any taste.
