Plainville resides in Norfolk County and is part of the Boston metro area. Before being officially recognized as a town in 1905, the area of Plainville was comprised of the 1635 land grant of Dedham, Massachusetts. The town’s official seal is the Angle Tree Stone. This historic land marker is the division between the Massachusetts Bay Colony and Plymouth Bay Colony.
Its close proximity to Interstate 495 and Interstate 95 makes it easy for locals to commute in and around the town. Wentworth Hills Country Club and Heather Hill Country Club are located here, just a short drive away from the Plainridge Park Casino. As for shopping, Wrentham Village Premium Outlets is the place to go with shops like Kate Spade, Polo Ralph Lauren, True Religion, and Tommy Hilfiger.
