Also known as Overbrook Park, Overbook is filled with lush parks and tree-lined streets that sets it apart from the urban flair Philadelphia is known for. Haddington Woods and the Karakung Golf Course dominates the western portion of the neighborhood while Morris Park is located in the center of Overbook and is great for hiking. Overbook is also adjacent to Fairmount Park, Philly’s sprawling historic green space that is home to several museums, the Philadelphia Zoo, the iconic Rocky Steps, and more. Along with access to several parks, Overbrook is also home to Saint Joseph’s University. Rentals in Overbook are typically more affordable compared to other neighborhoods in the city, but there are upscale options available as well. The neighborhood boasts a variety of styles including charming rowhouses and renovated loft apartments. There are multiple rail stations in Overbrook so residents can easily travel into other neighborhoods and Center City, which is only seven miles away.
