Was great the past 3 years, but now after the new manager took over it's like you don't even exist as a resident. All messages go without a response, phone, portal, and email. You have to go in to get any type of response and even then it's not helpful. They won't even address missing mail or let you post on the resident board anymore. The only one who seems to care is Keirra.

I?ve lived here for about 6 months now, and an overall great experience so far. Friendly staff and they are quick to resolve any problems that may arise.
I really enjoy living at Bulverde Oaks. The staff is always helpful and nice. The grounds are well-kept and I appreciate the new lighting on my building as the light across the from my building no longer works. I leave so early in the morning, but I've never run into any issue with safety. A great place to live.
Excellent leasing office manager, staff & maintenance crew! We enjoy our 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment with attached garage. Our maintenance crew takes care of our service requests almost immediately or within 24 hours. Noise level is okay. Friendly, quiet environment. We have lived at Bulverde Oaks for almost 6 years & love it. Highly recommend the management company start Pet DNA system to identify violators of not picking up their pet poop. It's getting worse, especially with the owners of the very large pets.
It?s great. I rated four stars only due to horrendous parking. There is simply not enough free spaces. Which begs the question if it was done on purpose to sell covered parking and garages.
I?ve really enjoyed my experience at Bulverde Oaks. The amenities are great. The grounds are kept and clean. There aren?t any major safety concerns or unfriendly neighbors. It?s been really great.
I've resided at Bulverde Oaks for 3 months. Maintenance request have been quickly & efficiently. Love the access to the weight room. Staff is great about making announcements about upcoming events.
It has been so comfortable, jut home for me. Staff is always ready to accommodate residents
It is been great the only thing that Sucks and it is becoming a very aggravated issue is the space for parking
It has good upkeep, but it could have a little more clean up around the a/c units! Pet owners need to clean up after their pets!

I moved in almost a year ago, and my time here has been great. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The staff has activities for residents each month. Just a great place to live.
The office staff is wonderful, i have not lived in an apartment for decades so this was an adjustment. Overall it's a good experience. I think the buildings could have been constructed a little better to prevent so much noise between the floors but I understand without carpet there will be no way to buffer noise.

The community is extremely peaceful. I love the convenience of the location. Whenever I have needed maintenance, the response has been extremely quick and always completed in a professional manor.
Good so far only a few complaints
My husband and I have lived here for about a year and have absolutely no complaints. The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming always striving to get you what you need. The maintenance staff is so friendly and always get to your problems quickly and efficiently. I love how well maintained they keep the complex with flowers, mowing, and upkeep with plants. The pool is always clean and peaceful and the grill stations are very nice. Only "complaint" would be parking (the ones where you don't pay). If you get there after 7 on a week night if is very difficult to find a spot. But I would never move because of that reason. We are moving out soon just because we bought a house but we would 10/10 recommend this apartment complex! My advice: think about parking, and don't choose a building right off Bulverde Rd it can get noisy between 7am-6pm. Thanks Bulverde Oaks for being a wonderful apartment experience!!

I truly believe that Bulverde Oaks is the company sponsor for Bose Sound Cancellation Headphones because you'll definitely will have to invest in a pair if you want to live here. I've never been around people who are so inconsiderate in my life. From dog feces on the grounds and stairs, the low quality of construction (you'll hear everything from upstairs neighbors and also the adjoining master bedroom that is on the other side of yours), and let's not forget the 2 AM pool parties. For this money, you can find something a lot better. The mgmt. never addresses these issues. I recently talked to another tenant and they have the same issues & nothing gets done. This not the place for quiet well-mannered adults. Trust me, save your time and money and keep looking, you won't regret it.

We apologize for the bad experience you have encountered during your time at Bulverde Oaks. Our mission is to provide our residents with the best living environment and customer service possible. Please accept our apology and feel free to call us in the leasing office so we can help resolve any outstanding issues.
Limited parking. You are required to park in fire lane spots due to parking being overfilled, and when you do park there you get a call telling you that you are at risk for being towed. They'd be happy to allow you to pay for a designated parking spot. It's a pretty cheap threat. My gate remote was not fully functioning for over 7 months. The excuse was "We truly didn't realize that our back gate wasn't even connected to our programming like the front gate is" - how is the apartment management not going to realize their gate is not properly programmed? This should have undergone troubleshooting early on - even if it did take some time, taking over 7 months is just ridiculous. There are constantly dog droppings in the grass, to the point where they threaten residents with a $100 fee if they are caught not cleaning up. There are no cameras though; as there are no employees within eyeshot, you're free to leave droppings wherever. Valet trash left one of my trash bags, an animal got into it, then they continued leaving it as the bag was torn. I have photos and videos to back everything up. Windows are paper thin - you can hear everything outside - I'm on the second floor as well. The windows are just that thin. My final complaint was the manager. I received a notice telling me I have to give 60 days notice if I do not wish to renew. As my rate increased, I stopped by the office to see if a lower rate could open up, which I was told was possible if I waited. I decided to hold off as moving is a hassle. My 60 day notice fell over Thanksgiving. I moved from 15 hours away, so I was with family for Thanksgiving. Upon returning a lower rate had not opened up so I signed a new lease elsewhere and gave my notice to vacate. Since I was a mere 7 days late, I was told that I would be required to pay the prorated month-to-month rate of approximately $1,500 - at 7 days, that is $350. The apartment manager could waive that fee if she wished. I informed them that the apartment would be vacated. You would think that for a tenant that has never missed a payment and has not had any issues in the apartment, there would be some flexibility - I was gone to be with my family for Thanksgiving..how heartless can you be? The kicker? The apartment is already listed online to be released. The manager waiving that fee would not have hurt the business at all. In short, they don't value you as a tenant. They don't run the apartments as a home, they run it as a corporation.

I have lived in my second story, one bedroom/one bathroom apartment for a little over a year and have my complaints but nothing so big that I would move. I have, however, dealt with multiple car vandalizations, as have others and the only security we have is surrounding the office and gate entrances/exits so nothing can be done. The area around this community, though, is nice, quiet and safe with light traffic so there are no serious safety concerns. We are located between a retirement home and a Montessori school and the nearest gas station is a Valero 2.2 miles away. The nearest recommended grocery store is H-E-B 4.9 miles away on 1604 and 281. The beautiful salt water pool is 5 feet at its deepest with two ankle deep areas where you can lay out. It also has a little waterfall fountain that is always filtering so the pool is constantly clean. The pool area includes a covered patio with a fireplace and TV and a BBQ pit on the opposite side of the pool. The staff often has family parties for residents with snacks and games for the kids. They've even set up a little blow up movie screen at night so the kids can have "swim-up" movies and we get to watch from the comfort of our own balcony! Although the staff is very friendly and inviting, it can be difficult to get a response when it comes to maintenance. On the plus side, they change all lightbulbs free of charge because there are so many. There is also a mandatory $30 fee every month for trash pick up that you can not opt out of. The grounds are always maintained but trash does often get left behind and nobody picks up their dog poo! I do. This is definitely a dog neighborhood, though, so most breeds are welcome and accommodated with multiple waste containers and two shady, gated dog parks so your pooch can mingle with the other pups. The buildings are beautiful and the apartments are spacious and truly feel like HOME. They have big kitchens with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, espresso cabinets and plenty of storage space. The bathrooms have a standing glass shower or garden tub option and choice of one or two sinks (I LOVE my tub and double sinks!), and spacious walk-in closets. The balconies and decks are so cozy that they will make you want to grab a fancy drink and book even if you've never been that type. Keep in mind, I'm so in love with the amount of space and overall design and feeling of the apartment and I live in the smallest one available with my 6'9" boyfriend and 70lb dog!

One thing I love about this place is the maintenance staff! You put a request in and it is completed within hours. The property is quiet and nestled in a residential area. I've rented before, but my experience here has definitely been the best. The pool and fitness room are never overly crowded. Great place if you're looking for somewhere in San Antonio. The only negatives I can think of are parking it gets a little overcrowded in certain areas, and wasp nest around my building. Not big things at all.

Bulverde Oaks has been wonderful from the front office help to our neighbors. There is plenty to do like swimming, renting bikes, a dog park and so much more! The area is great and the price is wonderful! The complex is in a new part of San Antonio, so it can feel a little isolated, but is being built up fast! Even though the apartments seem tucked away- convenient things like the grocery stores, restaurants, shopping boutiques and night life are 5-10 min away. Other apartments around the area like the Elysian at NOBU station were around the same price, however they offered less sq. ft. per apartments as well as less amenities like: granite counter tops and stainless steal appliances, not to mention the plush carpet that Bulverde Oaks offers. One thing that is nice but can be annoying is the Valet Trash pick up every Sun-Thurs. Trash is picked up during these days later in the evening, however it is an extra $30-40 per month, not to mention if you have a lot of trash like boxes- we feel bad sometimes because it may cause an inconvenience. We would take it ourselves, but the apartment doesn't appear to have a communal trash dumpster and if they do- we have yet to find it! The community is well kept and clean and maintenance responds fairly fast. When it comes to parking, free parking is okay, but it does seem to fill up fast late at night. However, there are quite a few options for paid parking if you can swing the extra $35/month/space for covered space (this is the option my husband and I chose). The one complaint my husband and I would have is not so much with the apartments but with the area in general... the traffic. You need to be conscientious about the times when you leave or come back home. All in all, if you are deciding between luxury apartments around this area (from Stone Oak to Judson off 1604) this complex is the option to go with hands down! The square footage with the amenities for the price was definitely unbeatable compared to other apartments around the area. We chose to go with the largest one bedroom apartment option being: ~ 840 sq ft. These were our reasons for choosing this place: -Actual granite counter tops in kitchen/bathroom -Stainless steel appliances (fridge comes with water/ice dispenser- very convenient) -Double sink bathroom -Option between: *beautiful walk in shower/ large garden tub -Contemporary lighting in kitchen/ dining area -high ceilings -Crown molding -Very Large windows -Huge walk in closet
