Eastern Hills has something for every renter and its affordability makes the area even more attractive. Similar to the rest of Dayton, Eastern Hills has a lower cost of living and lower cost rentals in a variety of styles. Along with cozy apartments in brick buildings, the neighborhood features a hodgepodge of 1920s craftsman-style homes, 1930s bungalows, and 1940s ranch-style homes. Along with affordability, Eastern Hills appeals to renters for its excellent location.
State Route 35 runs through the southern portion of the neighborhood, allowing for easier commutes into Downtown Dayton, which is only five miles away. Interstate 675 nearby will take you throughout the metro area as well. Great for renters who want off-campus housing at a more affordable price, Eastern Hills is just over four miles from the University of Dayton.

Property Ratings at Burkhardt Valley Apartments
I wanted to write a review because I want to clear some things up. I read a review about bedbugs that was posted a week ago. As I was reading the lies that where written I became upset. The person said she wouldn't give me my money back our site manager (because I still live at BVA) is a he named Darrell. He is a very attentive site manager. Every 4-6 months he's always having bedbugs inspection. I lived here for 2 years and the only bugs I have seen is a spider and a roach. When I called the office about it they fixed the problem right away. There is one problem I don't like and that's how some of the recently moved in residents don't clean up after their dogs. BVA also have quite hours from 10pm-10am and will put you out if your neighbor is complaining about the noise level after the third warning.
Almost living here was the worst experience of my life. While I was moving in, I hadn't moved all of my things in yet. I was saying there late one night and watch bed bugs crawl towards me on the floor. I immediately told management and they said that they would spray. I went back the second night and again bedbugs crawling towards me. I tool a video and the next morning went to the manager and demanded my money back because in the lease it clearly state they will provide you with a clean and bug free home. LIES. She then went on to say that there were n bedbugs in the home. I then showed her the video of the bug moving and how it was in their apartments. Moral of the story, if you would like free bedbugs move here!!
