Property Ratings at Bushnell On The Park
This is a horrible place to live!! Bed bugs everywhere, in the hallways, in the units! It’s been 4 weeks since I placed a request to get an exterminator and no one has gotten back to me! 4 WEEKS!!!!!! My cabinets were never updated when I moved in and they promised they would fix them if I signed another lease, I am still waiting, I’ve placed service request after request and no nothing has happened! The elevator never works, I live in on the 11th floor and sometimes I have to take the stairs with my toddler just to get to my apartment! And parking suckssssssssssss!! Please do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else.
Almost impossible to get a hold of building management. Constantly doing cosmetic work to the building BUT STILL have not even stated renovating the garage (ie. the reason I picked this place). Only parking available is off sight. It’s in an open lot with very little security. it’s FAR and not in a safe location. Elevator constantly not working. Fire alarms constantly going off for no reason. Mold issues, plumbing issues, constant heat / AC problems. Building maintenance severely understaffed. Absolute nightmare living here.
Originally when I signed my lease I was promised and PAID monthly for 2 garage spaces. Towards the end of the summer they closed the entire garage for “renovations” and allocated the parking to a lot that is 2 blocks away from the building. It has been almost 5 months since it was closed and NOT a single ounce of construction has been done to the garage area. They are insistent that they are doing us a favor by providing parking in an open lot 2 blocks away that is in an unsafe area with little to no security. Several tenants have had their cars stolen or broken into. They are suppose to provide a shuttle back and forth to the lot but the shuttle does not run consistently or on time. In the event that you have to get to or from your car in the early morning or late at night you have to walk. It has been very cold of lately and no one seems to care.. You are also not allowed to park your car anywhere on the property because they WILL tow it with no hesitation. They do not care if you are sick or have kids, they don’t care if you have an emergency they do not care about the tenants here at all. I find it very funny that the construction for the garage and the front of the building were supposedly getting started around the same time but the only progress that has been made is to the area in front of the building. The stairwells constantly smell like cigarette smoke, the fire alarm is always going off, they have people drilling holes and doing construction in the wee hours of the morning in the newly empty units. several other tenants have had issues with MOLD and the heat and air conditioning not working in their units. I have had consistent issues with not getting any hot water. They do nothing about it. They do not care if it’s 100 degrees outside and you have no AC or if it’s below freezing and you have no heat in your unit. They do not care if the mold is causing a heath hazard. It takes forever for maintenance to complete any work orders placed because they are severely understaffed. I had an issue with the plumbing and my apartment FLOODING and they took 2 months to fix it. It’s nearly impossible to get a hold of management. Oh and NOW we cannot receive mail any longer in the mail room because they were unable to secure the mail boxes so people were having their mail stolen and we now have to go to the post office to retrieve any mail sent to us
Multiple cars vandalized on property, security witnessed it and never called the police. Management turned off the security cameras and never showed security how to operate the camera system. Management is impossible to get a hold of
Can never get ahold of management. Garage looks like it’s about to collapse. Management kicked everyone out of garage with no notice and relocation tenants to an outdoor lot a quarter mile away.
Except for the location everything else related to this property is poorly managed. Every couple months there will be major maintenance planned which will cause inconvenience to all tenants. The garage went to maintenance for 7-8 month and once the renovation completed the very next day all cars were flooded with water again. Currently, as of 6th Sep 2023 the garage again went to maintenance which is expected to be for a longer time, tenant are provided non-covered parking about 7-8 minutes. One of the elevators is down, leaving only one elevator for 100+ apartments. The front of the building is closed, including the wheelchair or stroller access for kids. There's very limited visitor parking, tenant are not allowed to park there even for a minute. The staff is very rude and very unhelpful. Management is not approachable for your concerns. Poor security. Maintenance tickets will be responded in a month or more.
I would give 6 stars if I could. The building was a safe and great place to live with quiet and friendly neighbors. Really nice sized apartments with great amenities. The staff, especially my leasing agent Levi. was wonderful. At my first appointment, I probably looked at 10 apartments and Levi was patient, friendly, professional, and extremely accommodating! Even after I moved in, if I had a question or concern he was always happy and willing to help. Richie worked very hard to keep the property clean, snow removed, and the trash picked up. Any maintenance issues or concerns were handled diligently and quickly. I lived there for about 18 months and everything was wonderful. I only moved because of a job relocation. If I ever have the opportunity to work in Hartford again, I’m calling Levi!
Great place to live if you need something all inclusive to work within your budget. Clean, bright apartments. Maintenance response time is fast. Easy walk to many insurance companies in area.
Ive been in contact with management to assure I had a smooth transition. There was the run around with scheduling a tour, literally was placed on hold, and forgotten. I asked to work with a different agent due to the inconsistency and attitude I picked up on early on. I was forced to deal with the most unprofessional person, which resulted in my mom coming from out of state and being left outside, with their phones going straight to the answering machine, and messages going undelivered after confirming the tour via text. However, everything happens for a reason, according to what my mom saw, there are projects that are better kept than that property.
Eli is always quick to respond to maintenance requests. Highly recommend living here.
This is a very unmanaged management, they don't respond on time, no reply to Email, you will never find property manager (Ela) on site, Please do not pay deposit to the property manager you will never get it..., lot of tenants are moved out in 2018 and 19 year just because of bad management, they never got there Deposits or there was delay in getting that, living here is just a waste of time and money..

The building is very poorly managed and unmaintained. AC n Heaters aren't started on time. Parking is in very dangerous state with pieces of concrete falling off. Parking availability is a challenge. The cost of rent is completely un realistic and not worth. Not to mention the deteriorating state of apartments and lack of attention from owners on their own assets. Bottom line, if you expect quality, value for money, responsible management, dedicated parking, clean apartments then look somewhere else.

I'm not normally one to write reviews but I felt compelled to do so after moving! I was so stressed before my move but the management team made the move so seamless and easy! I can clearly see all the work they're putting into the common areas - my unit is everything that I had hoped for!
I lived there for about 2years. The apartment is not bad and the first property manager is good. But when the new manager is coming, I did not get good service(other tenants feel the same thing). I moved out on May 31th and I emailed the property manager three times about the deposit return. She said it will return in 30days. But as is today July 12th, there are 42 days and I did not get my money back!(More than one month rent). I emailed her again, she did not reply. There are no management on site, and there are no other way or resource that I can find to get my money back. So, I leave a message here. Hopefully I will get my deposit back without going to the court.
