Property Ratings at Butler Square
This place is truly a joke. Please do not waste your money here!!!! I lived here for 3 years and when ownership changed after the first year, I should have left. Beyond overpriced. Little to no amenities. The gym is terrible and if you ever wanted to go in to work out there is always a group of disrespectful college kids. If you live anywhere near the road you will hear every single car that drives by. The AC units in the apartments itself are so loud. My bathroom door never could shut without being forced because the hinges were wrong. My blinds could barely open. Valet trash was truly just disgusting as people would have terrible things in their trashcans and the hallways would reek. Elevators out for weeks at a time. If you live in the C building, you will never get your mail delivered to the right place. Dog poop found in the halls outside of my apartment on various occasion. Loud, disrespectful neighbors that you can hear everything they do. The management team never did anything to help these issues. Just charged you more for anything and everything they could. Truly could never imagine living at this place for another second. Please take my advice and never move in there.

Let me start out by saying , I moved in when Butler Sq was built. It was the nicest complex at the time (4 years ago) since then, Berger took over and since had several different property managers. The place has went downhill, advertised as luxury but trash in the hallways is by no means a luxurious concept- which we get charged whether we use or not. Packages are constantly going to the incorrect building, rent is high for what it is, neighbors are extremely noisy all hours of the night. Property manager is clueless and does nothing regardless of complaints .

The units themselves are wonderful. The location is great. Berger came in and bought the complex and has been trying to get all the money out that they can. The Valet Trash service that someone else mentions is awful. The hallways are lined with trashbags from 5-7 PM every night essentially. Thats if the trash service even comes in the first place. Various fees and rent hikes seem to be the way of life under Berger. Having had my last two apartment complexes taken over by Berger, I don't have glowing reviews of their ownership model. The actual Berger employees on the ground are great, however.
Our apartment was Butler Square was stunning, and we really enjoyed our time living there. The finishes and appliances are all high end, everything is brand new, the gym is clean, and it’s a really nice community to be a part of. Mark is a fantastic community manager, and he truly takes care of everyone and any issues. Dan was also on top of every maintenance issue and question and went out of his way for us multiple times. Just a lovely staff, kind tenants, and an amazing apartment community. We will miss it here!
This property states they have certain accommodations when you're looking to move in such and it's not until you move in that you find this to be untrue. They charge you for a trash pickup service from your door which they worded to be free and then proceeded to tell residents they will be charged 30 a month for this wether you use it or not. They're no way hungry and don't care much for residents.
I tried to call about availability and whoever answered the phone was so rude to me. Almost like she was annoyed to be doing her job. All I wanted to know was if there was anything available and how much they start at and if she could email me information, but she said to "look online". Clearly, I looked online before calling. I wouldn't have called if I didn't need further assistance. Any other place I have called is so patient, understanding, and willing to help with any question no matter how big or small. Would never want to live somewhere where I would be greeted daily with a miserable employee.
