Property Ratings at Butterfield Trails Apartments
DO NOT RENT HERE. I’ve rented here for 4 years. 1. There are giant cockroaches that run in between the apartments through cabinets and holes in walls. Wasps live in the oven vent and side lining of the building by the windows. 2. The water is constantly being turned off every week or so for “maintenance.” There are times where the water has ran BROWN and muddy and they send an order to “boil” it before use. You can’t even wash, brush your teeth, or drink that contaminated water! 3. The walls have lead contained in it. 4. They threaten to charge you for a plumber over a clogged sink or tub. They are responsible for repairs, but try any chance to blame you for any slight inconvenience. A pipe broke and flooded the apartment. Thank gosh I delayed and waited to go out before leaving my pet. So much of my belongings were damaged. The mold and mildew destroyed the floorboards. They ripped up the carpet AFTER I move, and try to charge me for it. Go figure! 5. Appliances are rarely maintained. I had to go back and forth for a new A/C unit that stopped working and was outdated. The refrigerator stopped working and was outdated. I had to call maintenance about 4-5 times until they realized it could not be repaired, but needed to be replaced. I had so much spoilage within the couple of months they did not want to replace it. 6. They never use a professional snow truck, or salt. There are times I miss work because you cannot get out of the parking lot because they decide to clear it 4hrs later. There is always ice outside of your car. I’ve slipped a couple of times. 7. The on-site laundry room is old and dirty. The washers and dryers do not work. You waste more coins than going to an actual laundromat. The property manager could use improvement on interpersonal skills. If you rent here you will definitely not get your deposit back, they will actually over charge you.
