Laurel enjoys a unique position roughly halfway between DC and Baltimore, and its relative seclusion makes it an attractive option for commuters who work in either city but prefer a small-town home environment. The close proximity to Fort Mead also makes Laurel a popular option for Department of Defense employees and military personnel seeking off-base housing.
The cost of living is rather affordable, and apartments tend to rent for much more reasonable rates than closer to the major cities nearby. While almost exclusively residential, Laurel does feature a handful of large shopping centers along its major roadways as well as a quaint Main Street district, the perfect place to grab a cup of coffee in a friendly café before heading off to work.

Property Ratings at C Street Flats
Lived here 5.5 years and it was great under the old leasing team. The current leasing staff doesn’t seem to care much about their residents. They will do very little to resolve any issues or complaints you have. Some residents will be extremely loud at all hours of the day, including in the middle of the night. Apparently the ceilings are paper thin and you’ll hear the people above you stomping around, slamming stuff, dropping stuff, etc. Good luck sleeping with that going on all night. Did I mention that the hallway A/C on at least one of the floors has been busted for 3+ years? Also, there's been a car theft problem around the area too and nothing had been done to increase safety. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. This place is NOT worth the price anymore.

Poor units, cheap building materials, and poor structure.

I recently just moved into C Street Flats and I have had a great experience so far. Gerald, one of the property managers, really cares about his tenants and will stay after hours just to help you out. My move in was smooth and our needs were met completely. The apartment was exactly what I expected it to be, and it is very quiet here! Overall 5 stars, I couldn't have imagined picking a different place to live!

Thank you for your five-star C Street Flats, Hayden! We're thrilled to hear that you had a smooth move-in and that Gerald provided you with exceptional service. It's great to know that your apartment met your expectations and that you find our community quiet. We appreciate your kind words and are grateful to have you as a resident. Thank you for choosing C Street Flats as your home!
Staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional over the phone and even worse in person. Classless. Pictures online look nothing like the actual apartment complex. Glad I got to see the place in person before applying.

We recently took a guided tour of this complex, provided by their manager Jerrod (sp?). We were impressed by the quietness of the location, cleanliness of the units that we viewed, and the security measures that are in place. And Jerrod was extremely friendly and helpful and he answered all of our questions. There's a fitness center and an enclosed outside area for grilling and socializing. But perhaps equally important is that this is adjacent to Laurel Riverfront park which features a "river walk" and a playground area, making C-Street Flats ideal for people with children and/or visitation agreements. We would definitely recommend C-Street Flats. Their manager Jerrod is really friendly and knowledgeable, and the complex is nice and clean.

Thank you for reviewing C Street Flats! Your recommendation is the best praise we can receive. We truly appreciate your compliments. We may be biased, but we believe we have the very best residents, and we take great pleasure in providing you with an excellent living experience!
In coming military, I recommend spending your money elsewhere. Let's talk about Cstreet Flat's shady management, the auto shop next door to its third building, and of course their rodent problem. C Street Flats is said to be managed by Klingbeil capital management which is based in Columbus Ohio. What this means for prospective renters is that if there is a problem with you and Cstreets on hand management, you can absolutely not count on KCM to care at all. When trying to get in touch with this company they seldom answered the phone. Your complaints will almost always only be heard by on hand staff who do not seem to care or value their employment and will give out false information. For instance, Mike who works at the office may advise you to turn in your renewal letter a couple days late at no fee only to have that fee applied after moving out. Good call Mike. If you are unlucky enough to end up in the third building be ready to endure loud racket from the auto shop next door. If you plan on conducting any thought provoking work at home this is not the place for you, if you end up in that building. Lastly, the building suffers from a seasonal rodent problem. During the winter expect to hear mice crawling throughout the walls and hopping onto your counters. And no, I am not dirty. In conclusion, this establishment's main issue is the disconnect from higher management. KCM most likely does not care about the people of Prince George's county and Maryland as a whole. In fact, the way they conduct business shows that they most likely do not like the people of this area and choose to capitalize from a demographic they abhor. My suggestion is to only rent from reputable, locally owned companies.

This place has been an absolute joy living at! The staff is extremely kind, always follows up with you about any concerns you have, and is in general very welcoming and a pleasure to interact with. We love the close proximity to Main St. in Laurel, where there we go to our favorite coffee shop (Ragamuffins) to do school work. Plus, the Towne Centre at Laurel is right down the road with a movie theatre, grocery story, and lots of places to eat. HIGHLY recommend C Street Flats!

Hi, Thank you for your five-star rating of C Street Flats! We are dedicated to providing the best community for all of our residents and we are happy that you are enjoying your stay in our community. Please let us know if you need anything; we are here for you.
I would recommend C Street Flats, hands down! I've lived here since the apartments opened. I'm widowed so safety is important to me. I feel VERY safe here! The staff is courteous, engaged, friendly and responsive to residents' needs. When I initially moved to Laurel back in 2012, someone recommended that I move to a "safe" apartment community. It turned out to not be safe. Street traffic picked up and we had instances where residents' cars were being broken into, and their airbags stolen. One resident was even robbed at knifepoint while getting her mail from the mailbox in broad daylight. At that point, I gave up my lease and moved in with my son. When C Street Flats was scheduled to open, I met with the property manager, toured the up-and-coming building, and fell in love with the local scenery! I have been here for three years!
Pros Nice appliances Nice interior Good location Maintenance man Choul is very responsive and gets things repaired immediately Maria in the leasing office is a blessing. Cons Impossible to find parking for those who come home from work late at night Constant smell of marijuana at midnight around the elevator and staircase. On weekends it gets into your apartment as well Loud parties on the weekend ROACHES!!!!!!!!!!! Lots and lots of Roaches!!! Toilet seats are built very cheap Interior doors are like cardboard. People hanging out and smoking marijuana on b street late at night.

We are sorry to hear your experience has not been as great as it could be. We work hard to make sure everyone is happy living at our community. I would like to ask that you contact us directly either by giving us a call or coming to see us in person so we may do what we can to ensure you are comfortable in your home. Thanks.
High electric bills because the building isn't well insulated. Goodluck giving all your $$ to BGE. Oh and nor airflow in the hallways and lobby. And when something breaks, they tell you to live without it till they get the parts ordered no matter how long it takes without providing alternatives or incentives. The staff does not know what they are doing. Ever since Allison the first property manager left, it's never been the same. They have had at least 3 replacements which never panned out. Good luck get them to return your calls and emails. The one good thing is its proximity to the interstate and the Laurel Marc station.

We're sorry to hear that your stay at C Streets Flats has been less than enjoyable. It's important to us that our residents are happy and comfortable in their homes, so please give us a call so we can discuss your concerns and see what we can do to help. Thanks.
So I wanted to live here but they kept giving wrong dates for when Availbility would open up. Also when I came in person to get more information I wasn't even offered a tour and had to ask to put my name down on their list. The building was thrown together in weeks by questionable labor. Price looks good but your life is at risk.
C Street Flats are newly built apartments with washer and dryer in each unit. These excellent apartments have high ceilings and high windows. Control access buildings with elevators. Gym access and patio to have family outings. Right next to Riverfront park to take long walks. Minutes from Laurel shopping center. Near 495 and Baltimore Washington Parkway and 10 miles from Columbia, Maryland. C Street Flats are family oriented complex and pet friendly. Perfect for families and singles.
Historical Laurel District, close to work, hiking trail, inclusive fitness center, onsite coffee shop, office management located onsite, and a wonderful luxury apartment feel. These are newly built upscale apartments. I would not have found this if it wasn't for apartments .com. Thank you
Brand new apartments off of Main Street in Laurel. The overall square footage of these apartments is smaller than your average one, two and three bedroom apartments. They sacrificed space for granite countertops, tile back splash in kitchen, washer/dryer, cherry wood cabinets and stainless steel appliances. Looking for smaller utility bills, than this is the place for you. Convenient to post office, restaurants, novelty shops, farmers market, and the Marc train station are all within walking distance.
