Property Ratings at Cabot Crossing
If I could give it no stars I would, I scheduled a tour for a specific day and a specific time - recieved 5 follow up emails and text messages to confirm and upon arrival nobody was even there. When tried to contact the phone number provided it just kept ringing until eventually disconnected several times. I waited for 20 minutes beyond my tour time and still had not heard from anybody. A complete waste of your time for a less than average looking apartment. The balconies look like they’re caving in and can’t support the weight of more than one person.
Mold in bathroom, lousy management, leaks in backdoor, pests in kitchen and DISGUSTING laundry.
Called several times, and they are just hanging up.
I'm a current resident living here and its honestly the worse place I have ever lived. There is a huge pile of trash that builds up every week to the point that skunks go through it at night. Asking management to take care of it gets you immediate attitude saying that its the tenant's fault for not being able to throw away trash when its full. It laughable because maintenance threw out a fridge that's still near the dumpster. Stay away or you'll regret giving these people your money.
It would be impossible for me to describe how many things I could say that are less than ideal about this property. Just to give a sense of SOME of the BS: (1) although Cabot Crossing is a smoking property, it is not legal for residents to smoke inside their apartments. You guessed it! Tons of residents smoke inside their apartments (like chain smoke) and despite notifying management, they do nothing about it. If you don't smoke yourself, I highly recommend living elsewhere. My neighbors directly below me on the 2nd floor smoked ALL day EVERY day. Even with my window shut, it trickled up into every corner of my apartment-in the bathroom, underneath my sinks in the piping, through the vents, etc. Anytime, I had my window open during warmer/fall months, it wouldn't last long b/c the smoke would infiltrate my apartment (the residents also smoked on their balcony, which traveled upward and would draft directly into my apartment).(2) My AC unit was not working during one of the first heat waves of this past summer, so I submitted a maintenance ticket for the workers to remove the cover lining the outside of my AC unit (I was on the 3rd floor with no balcony so was unable to reach it by myself like other residents with balconies who could do it on their own). Eventually one of my resident friends climbed out of my window onto the roof (what a hazard!) to do it for me b/c it had been days of sitting in a 90+ degree apt for me and my dog. (3) Pipes burst due to freezing in the winter b/c an angry ex-resident left his water running & sliding door open on one of the coldest days in Feb. following when he was asked to vacate, so there was flooding throughout the first floor of the building & we were all asked to evacuate when the fire dept. arrived in the wee hours of the morning.(4) For the vast majority of my stay at Cabot, NO ONE picked up the phone or responded to email. Sometimes I genuinely wondered why they even bothered having staff on site. What were they actually doing all day long? There was also constant staff turnover, which I don't think needs further explaining. Thankfully (and ironically relatively close to my move out date), now Cabot has hired two new staff-- a manager and assistant-- who are MUCH more responsive than any staff I have ever seen. They are doing their best, all things considered. I honestly feel bad for them because I'm sure there are so many angry and unheard residents.(5) haven't gotten my security deposit back and it's been 30+days
Management company could care less about their tenants. The staff are rude & never get back to you. Maintenance takes weeks to come. The buildings are old, cheaply made and dirty. Not worth the amount you pay. Better off anywhere else but Cabot.
6 months ago this place the best. Now with a new manager this place has turned into an awful place. Maintenance doesn't do anything on the property. Rent is so high but the roofs are leaking and not being fixed. Trash is everywhere and have not been picked up in months. Dumpsters overflowing. This place is now claiming you can only use your heat when they say you can. Until they can get this new manager out STAY AWAY!
Do not move in without seeing your apartment. Management is unreliable.
From online pictures and posts you think this place is great. When in reality the property managers and company are atrocious!!!! Move out fees are completely unrealistic and they keep your money even when there is no damaged and you have had the place professionally cleaned on your own. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.
Charged my sister and her roommate for fees for “cleaning” for nearly $200 when she and her roommate only lived there half the time due to covid. DO NOT recommend.
The apartment rent is way too expensive for the kind of service they provide. Water is always cold and the people who run over 400 units can’t even fix a water heater for 5 months. I’m not kidding for 5 freaking months. Plus when you complain they basically tell you to deal with it.
The condominium is infested with bed bugs, has no pest prevention, the attendants do not take you seriously, do not solve your problems. Apartments with infiltration and every winter the shower water does not heat, besides not cleaning the snow, I hurt my foot because of that, I was without work and they did nothing! The worst place I've ever lived, really not worth it, besides the rent is super expensive, unprepared employees!
Do not pay these people who could not even bother to clear the snow on the walk path. Forget about clearing snow in the parking lot, that’s simply a joke to them. These frugal people wouldn’t mind giving you worst possible service if you’re paying them on time. Do not lease here, I’m a current resident and I already regret moving here. It’s been 3 months.
They are pricing to move out. Business is business though. So many new people at the office. They even have the maintenance guy dealing with leasing.
I originally thought this was a great place since someone emailed and called me the next day after saying I was interested in the apartment. They sent me a quote and I had more questions so I replied to the email which they never answered. I tried calling multiple times and when I did get an answer they tried to hurry me off the phone. I asked the best way to reach them and they said through email. So when I had more questions my emails and phone calls were still never returned. I’m glad I found out about their service before signing a lease with them.. I did give it 2 stars because it is a decent small apartment but their communication definitely needs work!
Responsive, understanding of circumstances and situations. Willing to work with you to come to favorable solutions.
The mail situation was the biggest drawback, and while it was a serious concern for me, the ultimate reason I left was my boyfriend and I wanted more space, closer to the city.
It's been a wonderful experience so far. The office staff have been fantastic, the neighbors have been great and I really like the place. I'm very happy to share with anyone that Cabot Crossing has been wonderful, im sure my coworkers are getting a little tired of me going on about it but its been great.
I?ve been here for a year already and everyone is very nice and this is a very pleasant place for me to call home
The community and management staff have bewn very friendly and helpful Aside from some Comcast scheduling issues , evwrything has been great so far.
Briane was very helpful, a charming young woman. She answered all of my questions and patiently showed us the units, all the while answering our questions and pleasantly pointing out the amenities. At no time did I feel rushed or put upon.
i would definitely recommend Cabot crossing based on following parameters: 1) Apartment facility such as nice apartment structure, swimming pool, gym 2) Prompt Maintenance 3) Friendly and respectful staff 4) Cleanliness 5) Security At the same time i would like to mention a couple of things that were not pleasant: 1) Our neighbors are respectful, friendly and nice in general. However, there are 1/2 exceptions. Unfortunately, my next door neighbor at apartment 212 is one such exception. 2)Usually all maintenance issues are taken care effectively. However, there is one exception. We have a refrigerator leakage issue, which caused vegetable tray completely unusable. i reported this after times within last 1.5 years. Neither this issue was ever resolved nor the refrigerator was replaced.
yes
As much as I liked my apartment I worried about when might have been the last time the rugs were changed. Also the rugs in the hallways smelled badly sometimes.
Every time I need something everyone is very nice and helps me with what I need. I recommend you guys to everyone
The amenities are great and well maintained. The area is quiet and the community is kind and relaxed. Much more comfortable than our last place.
Cabot crossing is a very quiet housing complex and friendly people. Comfortable and beautiful apartments very clean their facilities such as corridors, laundry gym and others always clean. and the administrative staff is always willing to listen to your problems and give them a quick solution. They always think of their community on special dates with activities for the family. Definitely Cabot crossing is an excellent family resort.
My unit had horrible parking and the laundry facility was a pain to get to as well... felt that rent was way too high and a lot of domestic fighting going on
Just a really great place to live. Clean and quiet great amenities great maintenance service!
It's in a good area. Maintenance is great! They always come right away when I put in a request.
It's in a good area. Maintenance is great! They always come right away when I put in a request.
I think it's a very nice community but I would hesitate because it's very pricy.
I would recommend this apartment due to the friendly staff, well-kept buildings, and clean community. However, there are a fair amount of college kids partying.
The only down side of this place is that tge walls are way too thin! You can hear everything and I find myself walking on eggshells because I dont want to bother my neighbors! Thats the only thing I have to say thats bad about this place everything else gets my 100% approval and very satisfied as a tenant
My personal opinion,Is a Great place to live, office staff is great and good work ethics, very professional, been there 3 years never had a problem with residents or office staff, areas are clean and maintenance crew are very respectful as well.
I like Cabot for the green space pool gym and being a pet friendly community. My issues are that The hallways are very dingy and Dirty in need of proper updating to the carpets so the hallways are clean and presentable. The landscap needs attention especially overgrown shrubs and trees at building 134. Also the Rats need to be exterminated before the issues gets worse Also there should not be smoking allowed inside the units
I think that your apartment complex has just about everything that anyone would need and it seems like it is ran extremely well I already have been telling people who are looking for apartments that they should go there
The leasing professionals are very friendly and are able to answer all of your questions in a timely manner and are always eager to help if you have questions whether on the phone or in person.
I like the fact that once you drive into your area, you feel like you are in a community by itself. It is very clean looking and the grounds are kept up very nicely Even though I did not intend to seek a handicap apt. I was so happy that one was offered to me as I really feel at my age that I especially need a handicap bathroom. I an looking forward to moving in on 9/29 which is the time I was looking for to make my move. The staff have been very helpful with showing me around and answering all my questions. Lillian Berry
I do think the rent is high but it is understandable about what the community offers to the people living there. I feel that it should be $100 less but it is what it is.
It is a nice apartment and I don't consider this to be Cabot Crossing's fault but it is absolutely ridiculous house high the cost of living is. Lowell out of every central Mass city, should be the most affordable. With student loans, car payments and living expenses I literally can't afford to live anywhere.
It's a very good and upkept community with very friendly people the only thing I think they need is a children's park but literally EVERYTHING else is absolutely fantastic Ashley H. Was so sweet we look forward to speaking with her any time we may need to, and feel she is more than willing to make sure all of my needs are met with the biggest smile.
Great place to live, although rent is little expensive for the size.
I would recommend Cabot Crossing. It's a warm community and very comfortable.
This place is a very quite, well kept apartment complex and the staff are very respectful and with my experience they take the time out and talk to people living here, which leaves this place, in my eyes, a very well respectful, comfortable place to live. Wonderful place and an even better staff.
I would recommend this apartment to anyone because staff is friendly and kind
I would recommend Cabot Crossing because it is a nice place to live, the amenities are convenient, and the office personnel are very helpful, professional, and personable.
I have seen how hard and patiently the staff here works to resolve problems.
I normally recommend people to apply for these apartments, clean and safe community area, everything is close including bus transportation.
I tell my friends and family this community is the best kept secret in lowell as many did not even know this community existed. I have had friends visit who were impressed with the community and loved the apartment.
