Property Ratings at Cala Paradise Valley
The apartments are nice. I don't have the upgraded unit but still nice nonetheless. The office staff is friendly and always seem to be available when you need them. Large rooms, big closet. I love that the bathroom is separate from the master bedroom. I do wish that the washer and dryer had a door to cover them with so they are not always out in the open. Love the keyless entry too. Patio outside is nice and big and has a lockable closet for extra storage. The mail room is nice and I like that you have to use a code to enter. Same with the gym and pool. Located near so many restaurants, Walmart, Costco, Frys, Whole Foods, Trader Joes and lots more. Convenient to get to both the 101 and 51 freeways as well. All in all, a great place to live.

Ticks all the boxes; Clean, great neighbors, responsive office and maintenance staff, ample parking, noise free and clean environment, proximity to major stores, (Walmart, costco, frys..) restaurants, parks, bus services ...... Management always improving/upgrading facilities! If they had a 3 bedroom, I would have stayed longer- Had to move with my family getting bigger!

The water is often shut off with no email notice. I have record. The office staff appears to not be in communication with maintenance. This place is too pricey for the quality and livability. The amount of Non-optional upgrades make it so that maintenance is in my space more than I’d like. The water smells like sulfur and it’s a good day when I can make it through a shower without the water being turned off.

Relocated to Phoenix from Colorado. Apartment is awesome, the community is great and the location can't be beat. Very close to all kinds of shopping. Office staff are great too. Beverly and Amanda were very helpful during the entire leasing and move in process.
It's been a year, this place is beautiful, I am IN LOVE with my apartment, I am renewing my lease for another year!!! It is quiet in my area and the grounds are extremely clean. I love Amanda in the office, I've needed a few things over the year and she has been on top of everything. I appreciate your attention to detail-thank you! Two more people to mention: Beverly in the office you have had to deal with me!! thanks I love you!!! and Eddie always helping fix the things I mess up... like the wall on day 1 of my lease. I appreciate all of the staff at Cala Paradise Valley Apartments... Excited to live here another year!

The location is great, people who live here are super friendly. Also the staff is very attentive when anything breaks or needs to happen. Highly recommend!
I've enjoyed living here the past few months. A great price for the area, it's tucked behind some shops and has lush landscaping. The complex has good amenities, everything is well kept, staff is efficient, and friendly to work with. Overall, we've had a great experience so far. :)
Broadstone Paradise Valley is a great place to live! Quiet and grounds are kept up very well. Since new Site Manager arrived we notice that things get accomplished right away and tenants are pleased. Many tenants have lived here for many years. We have absolutely no bugs in our unit!! We have a full-size, brand new washer and dryer in our apartment. The Maintenance gentlemen, Nader and Robert are on top of any/all issues in units. Any request submitted is completed quickly and properly. These men are professional, polite, and show respect whenever in our unit. No issues with parking as there are numerous spaces. Moved here after renting for 26 years at another facility and this place definitely makes us happy!! Mike and Karen Andrews
Apartment living experience really comes down to the quality of ownership and management organization. Park Ridge is a story of being relatively well-managed property and properly funded for required maintenance, while having a reasonable rental price for the area that it is located. That fact made it a desirable choice years ago. Unfortunately, Park Ridge began to be neglected and needed upkeep feel short. Ultimately the property deteriorated and was acquired by Alliance within the past year. (from bad to worse) The Alliance corporate office is non-responsive, uncaring, and unethical in their treatment of residents. They hide behind the veil of the landlord friendly laws of Arizona and simply do not care whether they have satisfied residents because the demand for rental units in Phoenix is high presently. They would rather turn over residents then expend the effort, money, common courtsey to provide their residents with good renting experience. That corporate culture breeds the total lack of compassion and professionalism in the management and maintenance teams. The on-site management team is simply trying to make it through another day until they can find another job elsewhere. This translates into a property that is mis-managed, has unreliable or unusable apartment amenities, hazardous and inconventient construction projects, appliances, flooring and AC units that are 20 years old, dated kitchens, yellowing blinds, inoperable ceiling fans, constant water shut-offs, advertised amenities that are available, and list goes on and on. If the above is not enough to paint a picture of the living conditions, then perhaps the Alliance's perception that they can command market value pricing for Park Ridge units might give you reason to look otherwise. I can assure you with 100% accuracy, the apartments they are benchmarking themselves with to set their rental prices ARE NOT comparable...not even close. Other comparable apartments in the area far exceed Park Ridge in quality of living, management, and value for the rental dollar. There is a reason why they have a low occupancy level and residents are moving out. If in doubt, walk through the complex and ask a few residents for their opinion.
This place is nice and a best area. They recently updated the pool and common areas. It sucked not being able to use them for a while but they look great now.
Why is there a no star option?? Everything below has happened to me, and I have not been here a year yet. Please, do yourself a favor, and keep looking. I do not normally post reviews, but I guarantee you will regret ignoring this review. I have spoken to many other residents, and not one had a good thing to say about this place or the office. Take it from people who have dealt with the garbage, and DO NOT MOVE HERE. DO NOT MOVE HERE – Unless you want the following to happen to you. 1. Not have your apartment ready for a week, yet still charge you for that time and not pro rate you a penny. 2. A couple months after moving in have a water leak in your apartment and have to deal with your apartment being torn up while they take their sweet time fixing it, meanwhile you do not have full access to your apartment for a week or more, and again, they still expect full payment. Having a 6-8-month-old baby that can’t sleep in their crib, and a kitchen you can’t access to make your kids dinner. 3. An office staff that DOES NOT CARE about the inconvenience they stow upon you and your family over and over again. 4. A Corporate office that DOES NOT CALL BACK, it’s no wonder the office is so incompetent. 5. Your stuff stolen from your patio by painters the office hired, taking zero responsibility 6. Your front door left UNLOCKED not once, but twice by the workers they hired to do their precious washer dryer hook ups. Oh, but don’t worry, you will get the fake “I apologize for the inconvenience” So that should make it all better for you. 7. Always wanted an office that closes early all the time and never answers the phone when you call? Well, this is the place for you.
I recently toured and I loved it!! Great location! I cant wait to move here in October!!
It's comfortable enough. I wish they would put some money into maintaining. The stair rails are peeling, the pool motor is noisy. They seem to focus on things like shade colors on the patio instead of the neck deep dog poop everywhere.
You don't want to live here. Neighbors dump their trash outside their apartment and leave it there. Maintenance does not call you back after hours at all, they ignore you. The office is always closed during business hours and they always have excuses. They are over priced for the services you don't receive!
Awesome location!! My first apartment here was great then moved to a 2 bedroom. Roach infested, no parking enforcement, Pitt Bulls on the premises, charcoal bbqs which are illegal in the city of Phoenix are being used inside patios (talk about fire hazard) and drugs galore!! But for the price you can't expect management to enforce rules. Good for short term living. Office staff are nice.
I am so sad that my lease is not up yet. This has been our first renting experience and it is a horror story. What a terrible community, terrible staff and horrifying parking situation.
The first unit we moved into had some dirty people living in there before us and they didn't do a very good job of cleaning it. Had a bad roach infestation and had to transfer to a different unit. They did what they could to help but they could've done more. Mostly nice people living in the community. Ac units are very loud when they're on inside and don't like that there aren't washers and dryers in the units.
