Property Ratings at Cambridge Court
No real amenities. They have extremely restricted pool hours (10-6 Monday-Saturday, when most people are at work and can’t use it) because they can’t do things as simple as put in cameras, or hire/stagger staff shifts to provide coverage past office hours. Pool is closed Sundays despite that being a day the office is open and when most tenants would want to use it being a weekend. Main pool is closed despite it appearing to be in working order, and outer construction of the clubhouse it’s next to appearing to be done leaving no safety hazard. Clubhouse has been being rebuilt at the slowest I’ve ever seen a building be built and they offer no form of compensation for the lack of amenities claiming they are a perk not required provision despite everyone knowing amenities tend to be what draws you to specific apartments, and they still use pictures of the non existent amenities on the website as a reason you should live here. Only reason I stay is it’s one of the cheapest places in the area, if you don’t mind a couple hundred more a month you can definitely do better though.

We want to sincerely apologize for your negative experience with us James, however, we'd like to give some insight to your concerns. If you would like to chat about these please contact us at (360) 339-5211. 1)They have extremely restricted pool hours (10-6 Monday-Saturday, when most people are at work and can’t use it) because they can’t do things as simple as put in cameras, or hire/stagger staff shifts to provide coverage past office hours. We started our pool season 7 days a week 10am to 10pm. Due to vandalism and the gate being left open we have had to scale back our hours to ensure we are able to monitor the pool and ensure the gate is never prompt open. During our recent increase in temperatures we have adjusted the hours to stay open later and team members have adjusted their schedules as well. We are looking into a camera system however we need internet at the pool as well and we are currently researching that. We have been actively looking to hire team members however currently most businesses including ours is short staffed and having a difficult time finding new team members. 2)The main pool is closed despite it appearing to be in working order, and outer construction of the clubhouse it’s next to appearing to be done leaving no safety hazard and outer construction of the clubhouse it’s next to appearing to be done leaving no safety hazard. We are currently still under construction which the main pool sits with in the construction zone. Our main pool is closed due to the Arson fire set at the Cabana. The pump room did experience damage and is not operable. There currently is no power nor water in that structure. Also, the cabana has not been approved for occupancy and that does include the pool area. 3) Clubhouse has been being rebuilt at the slowest I’ve ever seen a building be built and they offer no form of compensation for the lack of amenities claiming they are a perk not required provision despite everyone knowing amenities tend to be what draws you to specific apartments We are currently rebuilding our club house/cabana after the Arson. Due to Covid we have had set backs on supplies such as windows, cabinets and fire safety system parts. The club house/cabana is an amenity and at no cost to our residents. We have relocated the parcel lockers so residents have access. We have a temporary office so our team is available for residents. We are doing our best to get the club room/cabana back up and running however the time line on the rebuild has been out of our control. We look forward to hearing from you.
Terrible staff, a lot of mold, no one repairs when asked, no return of phone calls, loud neighbors, crime, and no respect for it's so-called "valuable" residents.

I’ve lived here for almost 3 years and the complex has gone way downhill. Must less maintenance of garbage or recycling bins, pretty regular water shut offs due to plumbing issues…They also have no cameras or security and there have been issues of vehicle and property vandalism. Ok price, decent inside, but management needs to take care of some pretty major issues.

All the staff is amazing, unfortunately the apartments are outdated & over priced. Half of our electric sockets do not work, the wiring is off in them. The windows all have aluminum framing which means they sweat in the winter & therefor bred mold. Was told by staff that it was owner responsibility to rectify & that most apartments have mold in abundance. The units do not have AC which would be okay unless you are a non-smoker but all your neighbors are. Our furniture & apartment now reaks like we actually smoke in it & our child is stuck with inhaling the toxic fumes too. Ugh. If these apartments were not priced as highly as they are than it would make more sense that this ridiculousness happens but these places are based off of off-base housing allowance, not actually quality. Finally, the area they are located in is high traffic & high crime. Police are al are being called to the area to deal with break ins, car vandalism, theft, etc. and the foot traffic through here is so scetchy...I've found tweekers in the garbage area, people are always going down the streets yelling in the middle of the night & cars with systems are none stop. Again, the staff is truly amazing and kind...unfortunately the actual apartments & area are HORRIBLE. Rented beware.
My daughter is moving from New Jersey to Washington and we visited Cambridge Court Apartments in July. I must say, the floor model is very nice, the better looking of the 7 apartment complexes we visited. We discussed upgrades, availability and cost. By the time we left Washington we had decided to rent with Cambridge. We did the application on line. When we got home, we emailed with the Office Manager that showed us the apartment to get in writing what we had agreed on. It took a few weeks, and a 2nd email before we heard back, but she finally did. After we received her email with the confirmation (and also requesting the color of the rug my daughter wanted), we put the 'hold' deposit on the apartment. Three weeks before the move date, we emailed her again. Again a second email had to be sent before we heard back. We get to Cambridge Court today and everything we had agreed on verbally and in writing was not met (2nd floor, renovated, new rugs, painted, etc). They provide excuses but how does that help me? They offer another apartment but it is disgusting! We said we wanted our deposit back and were told 'we will try, give us two weeks'. Very disappointing to say the least. I would not recommend this place to anyway. Its like a bait and switch kind of action going on here. The Office Manager was very nice and sweet, but at the end of the day, she was just very deceitful. We immediately went on line and Thank God were able to find another location 5 minutes away that had exactly what my daughter was looking for.
I’ve lived in Cambridge Court since June of 2014 and just recently signed another year long lease. After touring several apartments throughout Olympia I’ve found that Cambridge Court offers the best balance of high quality with low rent. Centrally located, the apartment complex is a 2 minute drive from the Capital Mall, 2 minutes from Highway 101, 7 minutes from The Evergreen State College (via 101, 15 minutes via Division), and 10 minutes from Downtown Olympia. At this distance you are close enough to enjoy the convenience they offer but don’t have to deal with high amounts of traffic. The complex itself offers two outdoor swimming pools, two large ponds, play structures for children, an indoor workout facility, a racquet ball court, a sauna, and a lounge. The workout facility has two treadmills, two ellipticals, several dumbbells, a biking machine, and an all-in-one weight machine. There are also two TV’s and a vending machine. I use the workout room often and most of the time I’m either alone or there is one other person. The apartments themselves are well taken care of and have surprisingly thick walls and floors between each apartment. I share a wall with the master bedroom of the apartment next to me and when a family lived there I could only faintly here when their baby would cry. Within the apartments themselves the walls more thin but still block out a comfortable amount of noise. The rooms are large, the closets as well, and the bathrooms are a decent size. The living rooms are incredibly large which makes the whole apartment feel much more open. My only complaint is that the pantry in the three bedroom apartment is awkwardly shaped and the pantry door covers 1/4th of them so you have to stretch to reach that area. The management itself is incredibly friendly. They remember your name and exactly which apartment you’re in even if you’ve only met them once. To me that shows dedication and compassion for the job. They’re quick to resolve any problems we have and they can easily joke around with you. They’ll do their best to accommodate whatever needs you have. When I thought mold was growing on my wall they sent a repair team out within 5 minutes to assess and treat it. Other repairs take anywhere from 1-7 days depending on how serious they are and how many repairs are happening throughout the complex. The complex is also pet friendly and extremely friendly towards emotional support animals and service animals.
Outside the apartment is a pond with ducks and koi. From inside the apartment we don't hear the neighbors and the management is friendly and helpful. It has been an enjoyable first apartment. I would recommend Cambridge Court to anyone in the Olympia area.
