Living here has been a great experience thus far. The staff is very friendly and outgoing. I would highly recommend this facility to other people.

Building is overall old, unit was unclean upon my move-in, took 1 week to get management to clean carpets and tidy everything else. Overall very unmanaged but still soemwhat livable

Unfortunately the state the apartment was in when we first moved in wasn’t great. We had contractors in and out of our place for the first two weeks dealing with various issues. My bedroom still doesn’t have trim and it’s causing ants and other bugs to find their way in.

Cambridge Oaks has great student apartments. They have friendly staff and good amenities. The maintenance team is helpful and kind. It is gated as well so that makes me feel safe too.

The security is top notch and the furnitures are great. Close to campus, it is really a great deal. You have everything you need close to you. Downtown is like 10 minutes away and your groceries store too

It honestly been great so far. It’s so safe and convenient as it’s close to school and my neighbors are wonderful, the team has been great and supportive too. I have no complaints besides the lamp in my closet that keeps stopping working and my sink :’(

Living at Cambridge has been comfortable so far! The apartment wasn’t fully cleaned and set when we moved in but they fixed the problems pretty quickly when we asked.

I lived at Cambridge Oaks for a year, and I want to share an important concern about the safety and security of the property. During my stay, my apartment was broken into in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, there were no security cameras around the apartment, so we were unable to provide proof of the break-in. I also found that the staff was not very supportive in addressing the situation, due to the lack of evidence. Additionally, the pedestrian gate to the complex was always open and did not lock, which could have contributed to the ease of unauthorized access. While the apartment itself was decent and the location is convenient, the security issues were a significant concern. I hope the management will take these issues seriously and make improvements to enhance the safety of future residents.

Living at Cambridge Oaks has been a deeply frustrating and unpleasant experience. The management’s response to these issues was consistently slow and unhelpful. Communication was poor, and it often felt like they were more interested in collecting rent than addressing the legitimate concerns of the residents. This lack of responsiveness created an atmosphere of frustration and helplessness. Security was another significant problem. There were multiple instances of break-ins and thefts, yet the security measures remained inadequate. This left me feeling unsafe and constantly worried about the safety of my belongings and personal well-being. Overall, my time at Cambridge Oaks has been one of the worst living experiences I’ve ever had. The combination of poor maintenance, lack of cleanliness, constant noise, ineffective management, and inadequate security made it a place I was eager to leave. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and safe living environment.

Dishwasher has been broken for 3 months. Maintenance keeps marking it as complete even though it isn't complete. Warm water and internet frequently go out

good community that is walking distance to UH, and anywhere around the area. RA's are very helpful, fully furnished apartment, good quality appliances

This is a decent place to live. I appreciate that I feel safe and office staff is friendly. I do feel that the pricing for quality of the apartments and services offered are high. For starters, the laundry room is poorly maintained. Secondly the pest situation is out of control. I also do not like how maintenance responds to requests. They come into your apartment without warning. Overall it’s not too bad.

Love the House and the community. Its safe, clean and good people. office staff very helpful and quick with maintenance requests. LOVE that its so close to campus. and well connected to all public transit routes. Would definitely extend my lease here.

The apartment quality and the staff have been perfect for me since ever since I lived here. The apartment quality was good. The units are beautiful, the bedrooms are big, and newly furnished when I moved in The leasing staff are really helpful and friendly and always being real with me ever since I was asking for leasing information. They were trying their best to help me according to my personal needs, and always being ready to help currently whenever I needed them while I live here. And maintenance was great too!

It has been going well so far, I like the proximity to campus, It is also quite convenient with various events. Cambridge is good if u want to be close to campus

I kinda wish the rooms were well maintained when I first arrived, there seems to be some issues here and there but otherwise this is still a really good place for a college student to start off living in.

My apartment has roaches. Management emailed us to simply keep clean instead of fumigating. I've never had a problem with this in the past, so it's disappointing.

I love the experience here being closer to my college. One issue I had initially was the leasing office people barging into the apartment for a maintenance request when all my roommates and I were sleeping

The maintenance staff goes above and beyond. They make the entire living experience better. The main staff can be a little rude, with RA’s taking upwards of an hour to respond to incidents. Aside from that the facilities offered are great

I just moved in this spring and my kitchen, living room, and bedroom closet started flooding because my upstairs neighbor clogged the pipes connected to our sink. I called the RA on call and she was able to get maintenance out to my unit in about 30 minutes, maintenance did a great job at resolving the issue. However putting in a maintenece request online is a bit difficult because it seems to be the only page on their website that doesnt load. Other than that the community is pretty chill, not very loud, and security is usually roaming the grounds which makes it feel a bit safer. Its a decent place to live so long as you're not expecting luxury.

Overall good. The gate is never closed and my safety concerns me. The halls between apartments always have trash. That aside it’s a good complex.

Great apartment, near to university and safe even if coming home late in night. Good amenities and resources, helpful staff, on ground security and the RA responds on time when needed

It is not a bad place to live. It has gotten way better than last yeah and utilities are not too bad. They are fast with fixing anything that is broken as well.

During my time at Cambridge oaks was a decent expirence. It was not perfect, but it was not super horrible. It was pretty quite other than we fact that the alarms malfunctioned often which were very loud. Pool was really nice.

It was my home away from home for 5 years. Super helpful RAs. Excellent management. It’s primarily a student housing community, but I stayed with my husband and welcomed our son here and they took utmost care that we are comfortable. We received a sweet welcome baby card and gift too. Awesome community to live in. Very safe.

It has been a Rollercoaster living here but im hoping that this year will be better. The apartments themselves are pretty good and we never had roaches which was a fear of mine.

My time as a resident at Cambridge Oaks has been amazing. I love the environment, staff, and especially the proximity of how close it is to campus! Cambridge Oaks has helped grow and develop as an individual & transition into being a responsible adult.

I feel as a resident I didn't use a lot of the amenities they provided. My experience living at Cambridge Oaka was okay, as everything looks nice from a far a lot of things didn't look too good up close for instance the bathroom was not very pleasant as it was so easy for mold to build in there in addition to some cracks on the edges of windows that allowed a lot of bugs to come in. The place was convenient to live there as it was close to school, but I am not renewing my lease.

Close to the campus so you don’t have to drive, and love the pool! The laundry room has a vending machine. There’s also a volleyball sand court. There are patios in every unit. Pet friendly.

It is a great apartment complex with close proximity to campus. I do recommend this place, the only issues I have had were AC and water problems but they were resolved quickly.

this is the second year I have lived in this complex and honestly the worst mistake of my life. they are inconsiderate to the fact that their customers are college students and security is absolute trash. a girl had her car stolen at gunpoint in front of the front office in broad daylight and Cambridge did NOTHING to increase security or protect their residents afterward. all security does is sit on the stairs in the front and talk on the phone all day. they are never there when you need them and even if they were they probably would not be any help. the apartments are also small and never cleaned properly when you move in. despite renovations back in 2016 they still have ants EVERYWHERE. Yeah the RA's are great as most of the good reviews say but they ask you to do that and what is the point of having a good RA if the apartments are not safe. if you are thinking of renting an apartment close to UH, do yourself a favor and rent one 15 minutes out into the city for a better price and MUCH better quality.

Hello I have been staying at Cambridge throughout my college journey.My RA Cameron has played a major role in helping me keep my place together and answering any questions I had.Throughout the 4 years living here I can I have no complaints quiet environment and maintenance is there when needed.

Keep looking for other apartments, DO NOT get lazy and settle on Cambridge because it seems like the cheapest option. I do not understand how this place is allowed to operate. I complained about MOLD growing in my apartments for three months before anyone even came out to look at it. When they got there it had spread two feet each direction not to mention we had to deal with the maintenance crew for a month while they fixed. This place is also NOT SAFE. We have had bikes stolen off the rack and cars broken into. Security is a joke and you should not feel safe staying here. The units were built in a hurry so they are all disgusting and the appliances work about half the time. I could rant for hours about the frustration of staying here and constantly battling maintenance and management. You will be neglected as a tenant and I promise you will regret staying here.

I recently moved into a studio apartment at Cambridge Oaks, expecting a place that was mostly functional, crowded, and a bit dingy like your typical dorm room, but was pleased to discover how wrong I was. The rooms are well kept, efficient (making smaller spaces feel large, which is especially true in the kitchen with all the counter space), and everything works like it should. The staff and community are excellent as well. I had a small problem with my shower and went and told someone in the main office, and within 25 minutes, a repairman has already fixed the problem. The few interactions I’ve had with the RA’s were excellent and they are all friendly and helpful. Something else I’m a huge fan of is that while there are plenty of events and opportunities to meet people, nothing is forced on you. There are no full-day orientations or mandatory meetings every week, meaning if you wanted to be a hermit, nobody would stop you (though I don’t recommend doing this). Then there are small things which just improve everything. I went down to do a few tasks in the main building and there was a large array of toiletries for free and available to anybody living there. What a great idea, and I suspect not the last one, either. The package delivery system is great, and the staff is relaxed about parking before classes start so you can park enormous move-in vans next to your door if you wanted to. The rest of the year, parking is hugely available, meaning you can usually park right outside your building. I recommend Cambridge Oaks to students in University near Houston, and especially UH students (proximity), for all the reasons above and many more.

In my 6 months of living here, I've experienced about 5 wifi outages (each lasting a week at least), gate issues (locked in the complex a few times causing me to be late to work or class a few times) and I'm about to have our 7th water outage. As I'm typing this we still do not have wifi. I feel bad for the students who work here because the management doesn't give them any information to relay to us, so they are left to just say "sorry there's nothing I can do about it". Granted most of the employees I've met there just seem to be there for the free rent and don't treat this apartment like a real job. The rent is cheap, which is what attracted me in the first place, but there's a truth to the saying 'you get what you pay for'. This place is an embarrassment, I and the many people I have talked to about it can't wait to move out.

It's incredibly difficult for me to describe how much my roommates and I have hated this place. Hopefully, in years to come, the management will get their stuff together, but for now, they deserve one star. The roach problem is unbelievable. If you are looking to move here, RUN. The conditions make paying for the dorms and meal plans seem worth it. As for the guy who posted a review before me, good luck.

I just started my freshman year at the University of Houston and it has been a great experience so far. The staff are super nice and always accessible when needed. The rooms are cozy and are getting renovated for the upcoming year. Packages are easy to access due to the new self service amazon lockers. My only complaint would be that the bike racks gets to full so an extra one would be nice . Overall it is a great place to live in and will release for next year.

This place is incompetent and unprofessional on all levels, from the corporate down to the apartment management.

These apartments are on the corner of campus and it takes me no time to walk to my classes. The staff members are so sweet, and always help me with any questions or concerns I have quick :) I've never had problems in the units I've lived in with what some of the other views have claimed. Pest problems means dirty tenants :p

I leased an unfurnished room in the office, so I knew what my unit would look like, my potential roommates and where my unit is in advance. They attend to maintenance request at most 1 business day after request is put up. Also, there was no pest problems in the unit I lived in. So far, a pretty affordable and convenient place to stay in for a student. Wish the office has longer opening hours, a gym, and a printing office.

I wouldn't lease this place to my dog. The staff, rooms, maintenance, is all trash.

Although the location is convenient, this is not a suitable place to live for a person who has work and school commitments. Maintenance problems are constant such as air conditioning not functioning. I personally have had many instances this summer when the air conditioner was not working and it was not repaired for a week or so. They sometimes install window AC units but they run out of them quickly. Repairs usually are made several weeks after issues are reported, and are only done during working hours, sometimes requiring the resident to be home and missing work or classes. Management is usually not responsive to resident concerns and rarely reply to phone calls and emails. Apartments themselves are FILTHY upon move-in. It is obvious that no attempts are made to prepare the unit for the next residents. When I first moved in, the air conditioner did not work for over a week, and the move in was in early August. Parking policies are very strict, requiring the resident AND the guest to visit the office during their limited office hours to obtain a parking permit, otherwise the guests are towed away. The complex is generally unsafe with frequent breakins. The lease is very strict and practically impossible to break so it is worth seriously considering the pros and cons of living at this place. Sometimes they do strange things with no warning, such as this fall they suddenly removed window screens from the first floor, right as the weather cools down. These still havent been replaced after 2 weeks. No warning was given. If other options are available, they are certainly worth considering. I would give zero stars if possible.

The staff of Cambridge Oaks is nice. Very nice. They answer emails promptly, take care of problems quickly, and are willing to work with many of the residents. However, like every other apartment complex, this one could use improvement in quite a few areas. Firstly, package pickup is always slow. Because the office is only open from 8 to 5, many students who have classes and jobs are unable to pickup their packages. Secondly, there needs to be a little better management in terms of lease agreements. When I first moved in, the old tenants had not even finished moving their stuff out and the apartment had not been cleaned at all, leaving stains on the walls and carpet. I actually had to move out because it was so dirty that my health was at risk (I ended up in the hospital.) And yet, I would still recommend it for many students who are looking for affordable near campus housing, so long as their health can withstand a lot of dirtiness.
