Westchase is largely known as a business district, and many of the local residents are corporate professionals seeking to avoid the long, traffic-laden commutes that Houston is known for. The community is home to numerous office buildings, with a popular shopping area along Westheimer Road and several medical centers and schools in the mix as well. The rental market includes a variety of property styles, from swanky country club homes to modest efficiency apartments, catering to the needs of the diverse local workforce.
Golf courses and large public parks around Westchase are popular among locals seeking time outdoors, particularly the trails around Arthur Storey Park. Houston’s Chinatown is nearby, and Asian cultural influences contribute to a unique environment. Downtown Houston is only a short drive to the east, and the sprawling George Bush Park is just a quick hop away as well.

Property Ratings at Cambridge Place
Its been 3 years and I want to tell my story. There is a roach and rodent issue. When I first moved in I found a mouse running around. I called the office and they put down mice traps. I knew that would not work. So I took matters into my own hands. I bought steel wool and used it to plug the hole the mouse came out of. My power and water has been out several times while living here which is a huge issue. People don’t pick up they dog poop. The A/C coils are very filthy which means dust build up which has caused my sinuses to flare sucks to not be able to breathe at home. They don’t change the air filter. I have noticed water damage in my unit as well so I wouldn’t be surprised if mold is behind the walls. When I move next year I surely know what to look for when choosing an apartment. The Office agents and Management are always good to me. Absolutely no complaints about them. My issue is with the previous and current owners of the building. I’ve done my research on them. Also the pictures they have up is only the display unit. Ask to view a vacant unit. Hope this helps
They knowingly rent out roach infested apartments!!! Do your research! It is a fight to get the apartment exterminated. They will not treat the source of the problem, just spray your apartment for a temporary fix, and you get charged for it! Then you have to start the whole process over again, fight with them to get exterminated, temporary fix and you have to pay for it. Repeat.
Im def cancelling my lease. This place has too many roaches running around and I refuse to live with roaches for a year! The exterminator came more than once and the job still isnt done!! Everywhere in houston dont have roaches... it depends where u live at and living here in the deeper part of houston of the south side has them!!! Im new here and I been here for a month now and Im not satisfied with the apartment due to roaches. Didnt even unpack everything but my silverware and plates but than i would see them on my dishes and in the sink!!! Thats disgusting and I wouldnt even know that their crawling on my stuff until i see it. Having roaches is due to buildings being old especially in a muti apartment i live in. I will be leaving this place!! Im not gonna be force to stay here
Would give no stars if I could, if they say they can help, it’s probably a lie. Told the leasing desk my credit wasn’t all that great to begin with and was honest about not having a broken lease or eviction. They tell me that I do have a broken lease and can’t lease to me because they see something in collections from another complex 2yrs ago. Agian not even a broken lease but do they care about what it really is nope! Can’t trust people to just help in a bad time like this and I’m sure they were able to confirm my income which was more than enough, but can’t confirm what they are denying me for. Also once you get denied the employees seem to become rude suddenly like a person is some unworthy piece of crap not worth their time.
Been here 6 months. they worked on me for late rental fees a few months back, that was nice. but there is no parking, literally none, unless you want to take a hike to your car. And they're doing nothing about it. Also, there's been construction on the streets the entire time I've lived here, making it even harder to find parking. Just an overall negative experience. I definitely would not recommend.

We value our residents and work hard to create a positive community atmosphere. Unfortunately the construction on Walnutbend Drive is being done by Westchase District/City of Houston we are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you.We do not have assigned parking but we have adequate parking through out the property. Thank you, Cambridge Place Mgmt.
The ads say "gated community." The leading office rented to vandals who keep repeatedly cutting the gate motor wires. Nothing has been done to fix this. The young women and children who live here are vulnerable to predators and molesters just walking into the property. We are fighting this, but be aware that the gates DO NOT WORK and the property is not secure.
The 2 years I spent living at these apartments, the office staff has somewhat been attentive to my issues. My dishwasher has never really worked since living there. I do like that they have a wash and dryer included, makes things a little easier. Roaches in the apartment are a big issue, I have tried many ways of getting rid of them with no success. Parking has never been an issue for me, which is great for people who work at night. Everything is literally 5-10 mins away, so it makes it easier for those that do not have a car.
Ac broken for weeks at a time. You have to run it 24/7 because the whole place has holes in the windows, under the doors etc. Roaches EVERYWHERE. German ones, not the ones native to Texas. They're horrifyingly disgusting and will infiltrate your whole house. I even kept my food in the freezer. Loud noises from paper thin walls and neighbors. Loud road noises. Moths, roaches, worms, ants, will crawl in no matter what. Horribly cheap and built like garbage. Smells bad all the time. living here was an absolute nightmare.
I felt like the roaches were the residents not me, inspite of spraying pesticide a couple of times, they even got more. The bath room smells. I had to call maintenance 4 or 5 times in a couple of months to repair the refrigerator. As a result I had to waste a lot of grocery. The utility bill is insanely high. All I have to say about this complex is just horrible.
If you love critters (giant roaches, snails, lizards, frogs, and possums), horrible management, and extremely high water bills this is the place for you! I have been here going on two years when my lease is up I am RUNNING out of here! Oh, and by the way rent increases are ridiculous $80 just FYI!
Great space, great location, and great management. However, the water Bill is extremely high. I pay an average of $60 for a one bedroom. I live alone and I'm hardly at home. Management really can't give an explanation why the bill is so high.
My apt is Great for Dog owners and people with kids. it looks nice. the staff is great and friendly, IF something needs to be fixed they waste no time getting it fixed. its quite. Parking is never a problem and it close to everything you will need or want. I would stay if i could afford a two bedroom. Sad to be leaving at the end of Nov but I'm a single mom with many bills and trying to go back to school.
Moved in this summer and I will be leaving when my lease is up. Roach infestation that could've been taken care of before I moved in, some of the maintenance staff cannot be trusted, and you get different answers to the same question from office staff. Very little closet space in some units and no storage space. Grounds are well taken care of, it is very quiet and there is on site security. Safe neighborhood and quiet neighbors.
I've had rats roaches .. No bed bugs thankfully they don't fix anything..takes forever to get them to look at anything when they come take a look tell you nothing's wrong when you have a electric bill of over 250 and your ac never reads below 85. Water bill is almost 200 monthly for a small 2 bedroom. (And I don't even have a washing machine) Management is rude my rent has gone up 85 every year for the past 2 years. Tiles are falling in mold all over the place. This place is trash I will not be renewing. They want high life living for low life standards stay far far away.
I have been here for two years now and I have had really bad problems dealing with the by people in the office. My a/c in the summer always had problems and the would take weeks to even take a look at it. When they finally did they said it was nothing wrong maybe I should get dark curtains to block the sun.OTHER times I would call them would b for smaller things but they would literally take 3 weeks yo get to me no matter how many times I would call.
