Tucked between the rolling hills of northern Mississippi, Oxford is a charming small town brimming with historic character and artistic appeal. Home to the University of Mississippi, also known as Ole Miss, Oxford is also teeming with youthful energy and cultural events.
The Historic Downtown Square has served as the epicenter of Oxford since the city’s incorporation in 1837. Today, the Square boasts a bevy of eclectic shops and boutiques, art galleries, independent bookstores, nightlife spots, chef-driven restaurants, and downhome eateries.
Among many notable residents past and present is the celebrated author William Faulkner, whose legacy is commemorated through the preservation of numerous relevant homes, his gravesite, and a bronze statue in front of City Hall. Oxford is also home to a thriving arts scene, with a variety of museums, galleries, and creative communities in town.

I have never written a review online before, but I really want to advise everyone to reconsider moving here. There has been constant noise the entire time we've lived here. One of the primary reasons we chose this apartment complex was that the office ladies told us mostly graduate students lived here so it was very quiet. However, not only are there screaming children running around directly in front of our windows (which do not block any noise) but there has been construction going on around us for two semesters. The construction workers do not make any attempt to keep their noise level down- if they aren't dragging materials up and down metal reverberating steps between levels they are singing at the top of their lungs or yelling to each other, which is in addition to the usual hammering/scrapping/drilling sounds of construction. If you are a student DO NOT move here because you won't be able to work or relax.
