Located along I-44 about 90 miles southwest of Oklahoma City, Lawton is best known for containing the Fort Sill Army Base. Lawton is also home to Cameron University and the Great Plains Technology Center. While Lawton exudes a small-town vibe, there are plenty of things to do in town.
Several museums in Lawton allow for unique cultural experiences, including the Museum of the Great Plains, the Fort Sill Museum, and the Comanche National Museum and Cultural Center. If you decide to rent in Lawton, you will have the chance to peruse the shops at Central Mall, try your luck at Apache Casino or Comanche Nation Casino, catch a live performance at McMahon Memorial Auditorium, unwind at Elmer Thomas Park, practice your golf swing at Lawton Country Club, hike the trails and see bison roam freely at Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, and see Chautauqua perform historical enactments throughout town.

Property Ratings at Camden Apartments and Townhomes
I do not advise living in it. The place is not like what is in the pictures. The place is very old. The wardrobe, the kitchen and the bathroom, everything is old and worn out, and the maintenance is poor. If you want to leave the place, they require you to pay $1350, break the contract, and the bills are very exaggerated. I do not recommend it at all.

First of all the 24 hour emergency maintenance is a lie. I called because my electricity was out and left several messages. This was at 5:20am. I got no response. Finally on my way to work I stopped in the office. I was told that the emergency phone number was transferred to the office....where noone was at work. They seemed disinterested that the building had no power and I was told if it is a real emergency to call 911. I have been here for 5 years and since they changed owners it sucks. You have to pay to pay your rent!!! Yes you cant pay with a money order because of "covid". You can pay on the website for an extra $14.00 or go to walmart for $4.00. They are rude and have no business sense. My lease isnt up until Dec. I cant wait to move out of here.

Sorry to hear about the power going out. It was not just your apartment but half of the property. You were not the only person that called the emergency line for the situation. When we arrived on property the power company was already on site trying to fix the problem. They had the problem fixed by 10:30am. As for your other issues about paying rent online, if you pay with a debit/credit card it does charge $12, but if you use your bank account information it only charges you $1. Which saves you time and gas money from going to get a money order. If you go pay at Walmart they charge you $2 service fee. They bill overages and don’t tell you about them till the last minute. The maintenance people never fix anything they say they’re gonna fix. Corporate office is just as bad and everyone seems to have an attitude when you’re concerned about something. Been bought so many times and still have the same problems. There’s mice roaches and bed bugs. Not well ventilated.
