Blending old-world character with modern energy, Downtown Baltimore is a vibrant hub of business and culture for the Mid-Atlantic region. The city loves to promote outdoor community events here, from free concerts to farmers’ markets to open-air happy hours, giving folks endless opportunities to get outside and mingle.
The shopping and dining are exceptional: Lexington Market is a historic favorite for fresh and unique groceries as well as charming and eclectic cafes, while the stylish Harborplace and Gallery provide a combination shopping mall and entertainment complex on the waterfront.
Downtown Baltimore is a great community for art, theater, and live music, with galleries and performance venues of every description scattered around the landscape. Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium are close at hand, putting sports fans just a few blocks away from the action.

Property Ratings at Camden Court
Okay place to live if you’re fine paying $175 per month for a parking spot that the security guards use occasionally. They are super quick to tow any car that is not authorized to park in a spot, however, if it’s one of the security guards apparently it’s fine?? I came home one evening to someone parked in my spot so I had to go inside and tell security so they could get it moved/towed. Turns out it was the security guards and I got no apology for the inconvenience (much less an offer to compensate me for the day of free parking he got), in turn he said “why are you just saying something now?” as I was just getting in from a weekend out of town. Not sure why I should even have to go through the inconvenience of contacting the security guards every time I leave because who knows if someone will take my spot when I’m the one paying $175 per month. Also don’t bother calling the security desk after you’re a resident because they won’t answer or return your call. Overall, security is pretty unreliable to help with very basic requests. They really just don’t want to be bothered in general. Other than security, my experience has been overall okay. I will say the manager did really work with my requests/needs for an extension on my lease (not overly nicely, but did in the end make it happen). Just every time you renew your lease, get ready for the key fob and garage opener to not work until they give you access again. Not sure how this has happened each time in the past five years (and mostly likely to every resident) and they still haven’t caught on and done anything to avoid it but it’s a super big inconvenience. Also the coffee in the lobby only works 50% of the time so definitely don’t move here if you think you’re getting coffee every morning.
They scam you out of all your money and management is awful. Still haven’t received my pet deposit or security deposit back. You have to HARASS them to get any deposit or they’ll never give it to you. Don’t live in this shady place!

Hi Rowan, We are so sorry to hear about the experience you have had with the previous Camden Court Management! Since we only started managing Camden Court in June, we, unfortunately, do not have any of your move out records, but we would be happy to help you get in touch with the previous management company so they can address any of your concerns. Please give our Community Manager, Deanna, a call any time! Our office number 410-244-7240.
When I came for a tour, there were nurses and doctors in the main area, which said to me that, right off the bat, this was probably a great complex and a great area to live in. I was not disappointed. The building was built in 2005 and many apartments were renovated again in 2015 (to my knowledge). Even the lowest upgraded apartments are really quite nice. My apartment is spacious and, combined with the location, is a really fair price for the area. The staff, Deanna, Brad, Moe, the Head of Maintenance (apologies as I’ve forgotten his name), Moe, Nicole, and a couple other front desk people are amazing. The previous tenants slightly broke the ice tray and removed the glass bottom of the refrigerator. Deanna kindly filed service requests for me and maintenance was really very timely. The two aforementioned issues were things I didn’t really see until after move in because of the optical illusion of the reflection of the glass doors. In fact, I didn’t notice until after I tried to put something on the shelf that there wasn’t anything there, so there is really no way anyone would have noticed in the inspection of the apartment after the previous tenant. I’ve been here about a month now and the apartment is great. Everyone is quite and courteous. It’s really great to have security and 24 hour concierge. My school suggested Camden Court among other places, but Camden Court really blew me away with how kind everyone was and how beautiful the apartments are. There are two more things I want to address before I end my review: the fire department next door and disability. The fire department is located quite literally next door. It’s not at all a problem for me. I’m on the side closest to the fire department and I’ve never been woken up at all by the noise. It’s a city, so there can be outside noise, but I haven’t felt that it’s been prohibitive of anything. I am higher up in the building, but still. Lastly, I have a motor disability and Deanna was really great working with me to get a parking space inside the garage attached to the apartments. It’s a handicap space and she even gave me options to pick from! Camden Court has been very disability friendly from my experience so far, so, if that’s something that matters to you, this is a good place to be. *This review is based off my personal experiences and knowledge only.
Camden Court has been absolutely perfect for me. Deanna is a pleasure to deal with, which is so rare nowadays.
Location is amazing. The maintenance has been very responsive and you get the sense that they actually care, even if it's an emergency call on late Saturday night (thank you!!) leasing office is on point throughout the whole process and overall so far so good!
The building is not smoke-free, so keep that in mind. My neighbors smoke alot, and I can smell it in my room every day and every night. My bathroom always smells like smoke and the hallway in front of our room is horrible. I told the management, but since the building is not smoke-free there is nothing they can do about it. Also keep in mind that secondhand smoke that seeps in through the walls still contains toxins that pose a health risk. I am currently writing this review at midnight because I was about to fall asleep before I smelt an overwhelming cigarette smell and realized this is going to happen for a year and wanted to warn anyone who might want to live here about this apartment complex. Second issue, the parking is absolutely ridiculous ($175 a month and you may not even get a covered spot). Another issue is obviously it is in the city (and next to a fire station) so even though I am on the 8th floor the sirens and traffic are still very loud and make sleeping difficult. The area is not very safe. There is a strip club one street over and I will not walk the two blocks home from school alone after a few scary encounters. The only good things I think of about this apartment are that it is close to school (University of Maryland School of Medicine), it has a nice gym, and there is free coffee in the morning.
I moved to Baltimore from Florida for law school and I couldn't be happier with my choice to live at Camden Court. First, the location is great! It is walking distance to my school, Camden Yards/Ravens stadium, and the inner harbor. Further, all the neighborhoods like Fells and Federal Hill are a short Uber ride away. Second, it is incredibly quiet. I was nervous when I arrived and saw that it was right next to the fire station and metro stop, but surprisingly neither keep me up at night. Cities are loud regardless, but I have friends in other buildings close by that can't sleep through the night. Third, the staff is incredibly friendly. Everyone from the front desk attendants to the maintenance men always smile and greet you. Four, I have a large vehicle and there is a garage with 7'2" clearance right across the street which is great. For smaller cars there is also one attached to the building. Five, the lounge and gym are very clean and modern common spaces. Six, they are VERY pet friendly. Camden Court was one of the few places I found downtown that allowed dogs at this price range. They even keep a jar of cookies for the dogs on the front desk, and often they will have fresh baked (people) cookies there as well. Finally, I started off living with a roommate in this building, but when she found out she was allergic to my dogs we decided to live separately this year. So, I can speak to the quality of both 2bed/2bath and 1 bed/1bath and say: I love it here!
