Property Ratings at Camden Village
They are not responsible at all. The system asked me to set the autopay even though I have no assigned unit. The holding deposit is also ridiculous since they literally disappeared after receiving that amount. I checked the website and found that the unit I applied switched from "available" to "unavailable" back and forth. I've called the office repeatedly and even left messages. Never received any response. They stated in the email the holding deposit is nonrefundable once the application is approved. However, I lost my money and never heard from them about my application.

Hello, We would like to apologize for your recent experience and sorry to hear you were less than satisfied. We pride ourselves on our service and the high-quality standards we maintain and would like to make things right. Please reach out to discuss what occurred and how we might make it up to you.
Had an appointment to tour the property and the leasing officer could not be bothered. She was like a child that couldn’t be bother to look away from their IPad. She was very rude and despite our appointment did not offer to show us anything. We went to see a 3bd 2.5bth, when we arrived she just stared at us. We had to make initial contact she did not greet us. When I said we were here for a tour she said very quickly and rudely “WITH WHO???”. I said I don’t have a name but our appointment is at noon. She then asked what we were interested in, I told her and we simply got a we don’t have any of those available we MIGHT one have on “x” date, and that was it. We tried to engage more to at least get a tour of the complex but she rudely shut it down. I can understand not being able to tour the unit we were interested in but to not take us on a tour at all? We could’ve gotten a feel for the place and what the unit would look like with a simple tour and make a decision. Our decision to move forward with Camden Village is no based on how rude the staff is. She also went in about how there are no ACs in the untis, we never asked about AC. I think she was trying to make it seem so bad so we wouldn’t want to move there and she could end the interaction and get back to whatever she was doing on her IPad. Very frustrated we drove 45 minutes to be unwelcomed. There is also dog poop EVERYWHERE, I have never seen so much dog poop in an area. If this is how they treat potential leasers I’d hate to see how people living there already are treated. I will definitely not be reaching out to try and live in your slum village. With all the reviews about broken appliances for months, and roach infestations I would say we dodged a bullet.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your visit didn’t meet your expectations. Upon your arrival, we informed you that the specific 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath unit you were interested in was not available for an in-person tour. We directed you to a virtual tour on our website as an alternative, but we understand this was frustrating, especially after traveling a long distance. We apologize for the way you were treated during your visit. It’s clear that our staff's response fell short of our standards for customer service. Your feedback helps us identify areas where we need to make improvements. We would love the opportunity to make things right and provide you with a better experience. If you are open to it, please contact us directly to arrange a new visit. We are committed to ensuring a positive experience and would appreciate the chance to show you how we are working to enhance our community. Thank you again for your feedback. We hope to have the chance to serve you better in the future.
Doesn’t offer many of the amenities listed, break ins, towing scams, loud music at night, filthy grounds, and the office lady Linda is terrible.(other staff goes above and beyond, but one bad apple ruins everyone’s experience)

Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback! We appreciate it and see there is an opportunity for improvement. Please let us know about your future experiences!
This place is horrible. The apartments have roaches I can't tell you how many times they have sprayed. Plumbing is shot there is always a leak somewhere. Laundry facilities haven't worked in over a year. Cars broken into multiple times. Really no redeeming factors. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE POOL AND GYM. THESE AMENITIES IN NO WAY REPRESENT WHAT TYPE OF APARTMENT COMPLEX THIS IS.

We're sorry to hear your time with us has not been the positive experience we aim to provide. Our team strives to maintain our community and apartment homes and it's disappointing to know we've missed the mark during your time with us. Please visit the office at your convenience so we may address any maintenance requests and work toward improving your experience in our community. Thank you.
My experience here for almost 2 years have been horrible. Its inhabitable. Mold, roaches, broken elevator, lack of sense of urgency. I had the sewer back up in my apartment, the kitchen flooded, poor circulation don't let the pictures fool you. Best advice to you, don't live here etc... never seen security, parking is a joke people can park in your stall with a pass and not get towed. They say everything is a mess because last management well it's been two years now. Robert complains about Laura being cheap and she never wants to replace anything. My 2nd apartment was not ready to move in. I can write a book on work orders and horrible time frames.

Hi Camellia, Thanks again for your feedback and I'm so sorry to hear you're still not happy. Thank you for letting us know about the courtesy patrol presence. I've contacted them to make sure they are regularly passing by your area every night. We do receive reports with detailed descriptions and photos of their patrols here and they're usually pretty effective. I hope your parking situation has been resolved to your satisfaction? If you have any maintenance or pest issues at all within your home please contact us directly so that we may get them taken care of, okay? We're grateful that you choose to live with us and wish you the best. -Laura V.
Recently management changed to AMC and they don't know what they are doing why they are charging extra bucks..not proper communication..think of before signing the lease with this community . I live here..definitely I will not consider this community for lease extension..

Hello, I am Ruben Campos, the new Community Manager for Camden Village. Please feel free to stop by our leasing office so we may go over any issues or concerns that you may have. Our goal is to make your stay with us enjoyable. Thank You Ruben Campos Community Manager Camden Village
This is a very safe area. People walk and bike with a comfort knowing nothing bad is going to happen to them. This area used to have a reputation for drugs and gangs but the owners have cleared them out in recent years its been very pleasant. Rent is pretty much on par with other rentals in the area ie expensive but that's the state of rent today. Owners are good business men but sensitive to good tenants problems. There has been a lot of management change over maybe 1 per year on average for the last 5 years but its probably due to the recession and rebound of the real estate market. Parts of the complex is old built in the 1960s but is being upgraded.
My little 500 square footer doubles as a home office and gym. It is conveniently located in very near proximity to my clients. I do not have to rent office space nor pay health club fees. Within the complex itself, it's situated to accommodate all the long odd hours I put in providing excellent services for all of my client's facilities. Works out great for me!
These are beautiful apartments no doubt the property is always kept clean, for example the laundry rooms, gym, pool and doggy park are always at their best. The management team tries their best to make one feel at home and they are not afraid of getting to truly know one. Every summer they have a community barbeque it is so much fun and one really gets to know their neighbors. They are located in a quiet and safe environment close to all kinds of schools and parks. Perfect for families and pets.
