Eleven miles northwest of Philadelphia, Roxborough’s convenient locale provides residents easy accessibility to city attractions in a charming, yet modern neighborhood.
Prior to the 1854 Act of Consolidation, most of Roxborough was part of the Roxborough Township. The area was a thriving and successful textile mill, which helped fund many of the community’s schools and parks during that time.
Nestled between the Schuylkill River and Wissahickon Valley Park, there’s plenty of natural green space and settings to go around. Locals enjoy fishing for trout at the park, and going on evening walks at the Manayunk Canal in their free time. Many delicious and trendy restaurants encompass Ridge Avenue – but a popular, no-frills eatery is Dalessandro’s Steak, a cheesesteak shop by the Walnut Lane Golf Course.
Residents are comforted by their direct access to Interstate 76, SEPTA bus and rail services, and Thomas Jefferson University East Falls Campus.

Property Ratings at Cameron Apartments
I have lived here for 3 years and im really bummed to be leaving, but I have to relocate. I love my apartment which is on the first floor(main level) the ac keeps it nice and cool in the summer and the heat which is included in rent keeps my apartment nice and toasty all winter. The layout is very open and spacious and gets a decent amount of sunlight during the day. Most neighbors are generally quiet and friendly. The parking lot is great but does fill up in the evening. there is always a ton of parking on the street right around the corner. My packages always arrive and are secured in the mail room which has been great because i order a ton of packages. The laundry room is easily accessible and always functioning as it should. The few times I have had a problem In the apartment they were quickly fixed by Caesar the maintenance guy, usually that same day. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend this building to anyone my experience has been excellent.
I lived at the Cameron Apartments for 3 years during my time in Philadelphia and was very pleased with the experience. Apartments were very nice, clean and properly maintained. The management was very prompt and communicative as well as flexible. Anytime I did have an issue (only a few times over 3 years), it was addressed immediately. Location is great and you are right by a great cheesesteak place, plenty of things to do in Roxborough-Manayunk, a few minutes away from the city by car and a few blocks away from one of the best hiking, biking and outdoors location in Philly. Parking is available in the back and there are usually spots until pretty late, but honestly, street parking nearby is so abundant around the corner on the same block that this has never been an issue for me. Definitely amazing value for the price range.
I have been living at Apartment complex for almost 3years. I AM LEAVING THANK GOD!!!! I was really looking forward to living here longer .Maintenance is horrible I put a request in it takes about 3-4 weeks for something to be done. The apartment hallways stink! the Carpet is dirty, the walls are thin you can hear your neighbors upstairs, downstairs, next to you. Neighbors complain all the time. This apartment feels like a prison. The parking is horrible in the back. You better be home by 5 pm in order to have a spot. It is quiet area, you have you delassandros across the way! Cameron Apartment is area you have access to go anywhere. I am so disappointed in the landlord, because he was extremely nice, he would use my apartment to show potential tenants. the landlord changed and because very rude once my boyfriend starting coming over. Shame on you Landlord, you reap what you sow!!!
I lived here for a year, this place is terrible. The hallways smell bad, ya’ll not fooling anybody with those glade plug-ins. They’re renovating the main lobby so it’s a little better but all of the stairs and the laundry room smell like pee. There’s mice and mold downstairs in the laundry room. There’s no leasing office to call, it’s just one guy and he’s rude. God forbid you ask for something to be fixed and he gives you an extreme attitude. He moved us in too early and our apartment wasn’t ready, the floors weren’t done, the electric and water wasn’t working, things that should’ve been handled before we got there wasn’t. We were upset, he acted like it was our fault and we were getting “the free months rent” so we should be thanking him. That’s not really how it works anyway with the rent, but besides that when you’re living somewhere, you want it right. After a few phone calls they did fix it. We could never complain to an office, we only had the one guy to deal with. There’s a miscommunication going on between him and the maintainece guy who is actually there, on site most of the time. He’s a pretty nice guy but in way over his head, tends to do things with the bare minimum. There’s faulty wiring in the apartments. Ours was “new” and every time we used our microwave something else in the apartment went out. We were told to tell the maintenance guy, who told us we couldn’t use those things together. Like our air conditioner and microwave, or multiple lights and my girls hair dryer etc. Forget using the microwave and the air, the whole apartment would blow out. Fire alarms would go off randomly, our neighbors had that problem when they took showers and they had to go in and replace it. It still didn’t work right so I just took the batteries out of ours. Besides that the walls are PAPER THIN. You can hear your upstairs neighbor sneeze. If they have kids or you have kids everyone can hear it all. We had an issue with a loud neighbor playing music real late that was never resolved. Parking is a nightmare, and if you work late, never enough spots in the lot. THERES ONLY ONE WAY IN AND ONE WAY OUT. If the trash guy is there and you’re trying to get out. Forget it, you’re late. If the maintenance guy is doing something, forget it, he obviously doesn’t care and he will make you late. For what you pay, find somewhere else.
I lived here for two years from Jan 2016 until Jan 2018, and I must say this is the best apartment building I have ever lived in. The landlord is polite, professional, and friendly, and the supervisor and all the maintenance technicians we’re just as nice and accommodating. They have an easy online system to pay your rent and request Maintenence. I didn’t need much done, but when I did contact Maintenence or the landlord for any concerns I was responded to very quickly. They have been doing a lot of work recently to improve both the building and the outside landscaping, and there is plenty of free offstreet parking for tenants. The apartments are large, sunny, and the hardwood floor is beautiful, in fact when I moved in almost my entire kitchen and appliances were installed do. I would recommend this apartment building to anyone.
Since moving from England my (then pregnant) wife and I have had the great fortune to have found this apartment. Camaron apartments are in a great location (next to the best cheese steak in the US), the apartments are regularly refurbished to a very high standard and the management team is always prompt in addressing all maintenance issues that may arise. Communal areas are always clean and tidy and residents are considerate. My wife, I and my new born son have had the great pleasure of living here for almost a year and we very much look forward to living here throughout our time in the US.
I've been at Camaron Apartments a little over 4 years now. I love it there. I think the staff is very nice and professional and tries to resolve any issues that arrive. The apartments are very nicely renovated and upgraded. Whenever I have maintenance issues they are resolved the next day. They have also been painting the hallways and they look very nice. I look forward to staying here for more years to come.
Resident from 2016 - 2017 Recommended Property I really like the community. It is very quiet and I feel extremely safe. So far I have had a great experience. I am close to all the shopping centers and transportation is very convenient for me to get to and from work. The management is extremely on top of calls and very on top of extermination treatments. The apartments are very upgraded, hallways are always clean and best of all quiet.
The basement of the complex is filled with black mold and there is an infestation of mice. The management does little to nothing about these issues as they are lazy, inattentive, and rude. The fire alarms also go off for no reason so often that no one even pays attention to them anymore which makes a very dangerous situation. They are doing renovations, however they are simply to cover up problems, not to improve the living conditions that this complex provides. When you complain about the living conditions, your pleas are unanswered unless you send a certified letter and threaten legal action.
I desire my apartment as my home, one that I should take good care of and make it my haven: a place to come home to and relax mentally and physically. The condition of my apartment does not afford me any decent lifestyle. Management is dragging their feet/doing nothing. My rent is current.
