Eisenhower Ave/Eisenhower West is an industrial area between Interstate 495 and Business Central Drive. The majority of this neighborhood consists of the WMATA Alexandria Rail Yard, but the eastern half of town is filled with apartments, hotels, and a few eateries. Directly west of town residents enjoy several parks along the banks of Holmes Run like Cameron Run Regional Park. Easily travel across Telegraph Road to get to Eisenhower East where you’ll find Hoffman Town Center and its surrounding plazas, featuring an abundance of restaurants, shops, and businesses. Property Ratings at Cameron Court
I have been here for a couple of months and I have been quite disappointed living here, they do a poor job of maintaining and cleaning the property. The package room is too small for the size of the community, the packages are not where they are supposed to be and I am basically constantly looking for my packages. The back gate leading to Mill Road always seems broken and it is nearly impossible to get a maintenance request complete. If they do show up, they do half the job and say it is complete. I have put in tickets and have gone to the leasing office for maintenance requests, and they are a no show so if you are thinking of living, I would think twice before signing the lease.
I am writing an updated review after having been a resident for a while. I can say I am 100% happy with my decision to move into Cameron Court. First, the lease signing and move-in process was amazing. Lacresha in the front office answered all my questions about the move-in process and was able to help me with some logistical issues. The entire process was very open and transparent. After signing my lease and before my move-in date, Lacresha got me access to an empty apartment so I could buy the right-size rugs, furniture, etc.—very helpful and not something that a lot of places would have done. When I wanted to add on garage space parking, she got it done. It was very clear from the beginning that the leasing staff cared about their residence and what they wanted out of their new homes. During my time here, I had some maintenance issues come up--nothing outside the ordinary from every other place I have lived. All I can say is wow. The property management staff (in particular Laura, Brian, and Lacresha) go out of their way to make sure that things are done on time and correctly. Unlike other places I have stayed, no one is taking shortcuts, and if that means something takes slightly longer to fix, it is because they are making sure it's done the correct way. They always take the time to make sure they understand any particular problem and VERY promptly follow up on any inquiries that I have. The maintenance techs themselves are very friendly and knowledgeable about the property and obviously work hard to keep the place working great. It is very clear to me that the management staff here care very much about their residences and I am just blown away by their professionalism. If there is not an immediate solution, the management staff, without exception, has always found ways to fix the issue/ make it right—this is something that I have not had the pleasure of experiencing at other properties I have lived at over the years. Regarding the property itself, I love it! I greatly enjoy my apartment. When I was looking around, I found that Cameron had the nicest (and most unique floor plans) available. The entire property is well maintained and very clean and safe. You also cannot beat the location! I have had a lot of fun making my apartment “my own” and it is very clear to me that the staff here greatly values their residences. Anyone considering a place to live near Old Town Alexandria should seriously consider Cameron!
I lived here twice with about 10 years in between stays. Back in 2014 this was run by Bozzuto, it was great and the the staff was pleasant. I can't say the same now. The office staff is unresponsive, slow to act, uncoordinated, and unfriendly. The maintenance staff was the only good thing about it. Also there was a shooting on the property in February, so don't think it's safe because of the gates. They share ONE code among the entire community and refuse to add residents to the callbox.
First, the units look very nice, but the maintenance leaves much to be desired. I moved here 2 years ago, my first apartment flooded 18 inches deep due to a botched repair, getting them to make it right was a nightmare that took months, during which I was charged full freight rent for a destroyed apartment. I moved into another unit, and this one has had continued issues with the AC. I spent 3 weeks this summer with the apartment over 90 degrees inside, totally unlivable. They always promise that it will be fixed "tomorrow" and it never happens until you start babysitting them and following up every 2 hours. The flooring in my unit is starting to bubble up and the overall quality of the apartment is rapidly deteriorating. STAY AWAY

Overall it?s a safe and secure place to live. Obviously things are always needing upkeep and the maintenance team stands out, doing their best. Minor problems keep the place from being perfect. Such as the package room, key fobs, amenities (hot tub didn?t work as of summer 2022).

The maintenance staff is very thorough in their work, informative of the issue(s) and what they are doing to remedy the situation, and efficient in their work. The community overall is well maintained and peaceful. Quality of the amenities and buildings are overall high, and management is responsive and above average. Main issue is that parking decals (included in rent) do not seem to be enforced.
Morgan was so nice and helpful! She gave us a tour and really connected to us. Also setting up an appointment via phone was so easy! I was hesitant to call because of prior experiences in the area. We knew we wanted to reside in the area, but we found it challenging to talk about leases and set up tours with other companies. Cameron Court really sold this area to us and we look forward to joining the community!
The staff is very friendly and responsive. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of two ongoing issues: the mail room and the garbage valet service. The mail room does get organized every once in a while, but I have spent much more than a few minutes looking for a package amongst all the packages. The garbage valet service is an additional expense, and there still are evenings when my garbage has not been picked up. From my point of view, this service is hit or miss.
Great place to live . I love it , I believe I made the best choice picking Cameron Court as my place of residence. Management has been very helpful and caring . No regrets!
It's just a beautiful place to live
Amazing staff nice sized apts/townhomes
Morgan was awesome, she really went the extra mile to ensure I felt comfortable before leasing a unit. She did a virtual tour with me, and then separately stayed late one night to do an in person tour that worked with my schedule. I could not get time off from work to do a daytime tour, and the Saturday tours were all booked, so she got me in at 6:15 right after close, instead of pressuring me to lease without seeing the unit in person. Great staff, really made the whole experience that much better, and the units are beautiful too.
Cameron Court apartments are amazing, all the staff are present kind and friendly. The pictures I seen online are what I seen when I arrived to view the appartments. The upkeep of the property as ah whole was amazing!!!!!
Cameron Court is a great place to live. You can?t find this kind of space anywhere in or near Old Town. Close to everything yet safe, quiet when you want it to be and the staff is wonderful!

I highly and completely recommend Cameron Court to anyone, especially if you have a dog! Beautiful grounds and very pet friendly.
I previously lived here for 9 years and the upgrades/remodeling are state of the art! I absolutely love the counter tops/cabinets/stove, microwave over the 5 burner stove and grill! I had numerous issues when i took possession of the apartment, but they were all addressed but 2 and i have not completely moved in yet, so i will see when they get fixed. However, the maintenance and office staff have been outstanding, professional, and so personable in assisting me in any of my upfront request.
Roxana and staff were accommodating to our needs to transfer to another apartment. They ensured we were satisfied, and they went above and beyond what anyone should expect. Thank you.

I love the lay out of my one bedroom apartment. It is so comfortable and bright. The gas stove is a real plus for my cooking, and the staff are attentive and friendly! The location is great... 15 minute walk to the metro ... 40 minute walk to Old Town... 2 minute drive to the beltway! Most importantly, as a single older woman I feel completely safe!
Cameron court has been working diligently to make sure our maintenance issues are resolved in a timely fashion and we are very satisfied.

Cameron Court is overall a nice place to live. It's pretty safe, the shared facilities (e.g. pool, gym, etc) are kept clean, and the location near the Metro is very nice. As with every apartment complex, there are some things that could be better (like the package room), but overall I enjoy living at Cameron Court.

I moved here from out of state with the intention of staying here for one year while I searched for a place to buy. I am about to renew my place for the third year. As a lawyer with two degrees in economics I can’t justify buying in a sellers market.
Our family loves living here. Great location, excellent staff and maintenance. It’s safe, clean and the people are friendly. Great on-site amenities. We live in in Monroe style townhouse, it’s the best!

I previously resided in an Avalon community then moved out of state. Returned in February 2015 with my husband to Alexandria and we are delighted to reside in a beautiful Jefferson townhouse with garage. Just great to experience superior service here at Cameron Court now it is managed by Bozzuto. The grounds are always kept well, all the facilities and clubhouse are sparkling clean. The staff are just wonderful, Cristina in the office always has a big smile, and her "resident care" skills are excellent. She follows up immediately on any requests. The entire maintenance team are also first class - Thomas and David have gone above and beyond to quickly replace the Oven in our townhouse. KUDOS to all. Solid walls mean you can't hear your neighbors. Community amenities make life a little easier. I love that I can afford to live close enough to metro to walk but there's a free shuttle to make that commute even faster. My place isn't renovated so it's starting to show some wear and tear but maintenance is attentive. This neighborhood is changing so quickly and apparently I like it.

My husband and I moved to the area and wanted to find an affordable apartment close to Old Town, Alexandria. Cameron Run is the perfect fit. We can walk to the metro, movie theater and we are just a couples miles from Old Town. The community is extremely well kept and the people (residents and employees) are wonderful.

Located in Alexandria, Cameron Court was close enough to the Metro to get downtown easily at an affordable price point. Relatively quiet, although units closer to the railroad will be able to hear freight trains late at night. Not terribly walkable to grocery store (Whole Foods), but has an excellent gym and pool.

Our apartment is spacious and includes a loft. All the apartments we saw here were nice, but the staff and the amenities are what make it great. There's valet trash & recycling 5 night a week, it just gets picked up outside your door. The office staff is so helpful and the maintenance crews are prompt. The gym is fairly large and includes everything you could need for a workout, they offer free fitness classes occasionally like yoga. The pool and spa are very well maintained and residents here are always using them. The dog park is quite large, and there are always people playing with their pets in it. There is also a tennis court. Parking is easy and free, although you can pay for a reserved spot as well. The community is relaxed, pet friendly and easy going!

I moved to the area about a year ago for a job and have loved living at cameron court. I am currently renting a 1 bedroom apartment. Although the rent is expensive, for the area it's hard to beat the price when looking to live on your own or with a roommate. The shuttle is great here for the morning and evening commutes and the driver is nice and very considerate. I don't have a dog but this is a great community for dog lovers, there is a really nice dog park for all your fury family members. The gym is nice and well maintained. And the pool is a decent size although only 4 feet deep, and they have a lifeguard which is nice with small children. I live on the side away from the train and on the inside of the road. I think it is very quiet but have heard others complain about noise if you are near the rails or road sides so I would not choose an apartment on those sides personally. The only real problem I've ever had with my apartment so far was my water heater bursting and flooding my living room while I was out of town. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick actions of the apartment complex to clean and dry my apartment, since the apartments are wall to wall carpeting this was major since I'm highly allergic to mold. But that was fixed and it's nice to know they were on top of it. Despite the fact this is a pet loving community, when I moved in, the apartment was immaculate and I've never had a problem with bugs or pests. Overall it has been a great year living at cameron court and I plan to stay. The closest metro is Eisenhower about half a mile walk, or king street which is a little over a mile, both not too far for walkers or bikers. I do wish they were closer distance to grocery or stores, but if you have a car or don't mind walking this apartment could be a great option for you!! I would give the apartment 5 stars but I think there are always areas for improvement

This complex is great. I've lived here for 2 years, one on each side of the property. Although both sides are good- the side with the dog park is the better of the two sides. The dog park is huge but becomes a big mud puddle after it rains. This side of the complex is quiet and you can't hear any highway noise even though you are so close to 495. The club house side of the complex is too close to the train tracks and with the thin windows you can hear every train that goes by. It can be very difficult to find a parking spot in the evenings on this side as well. Maintenance requests are addressed quickly- often within a matter of a few hours. Overall a great complex.

I've live at Cameron Court for a few years, and have really enjoyed my stay. The property is well maintained, clean, and safe. I've never had any issues with insects or maintenance, which is a big deal to me. There is a metro within walking distance, but the community provides a shuttle service as well...the location is close the DC and Old Town Alexandria..so for the price it really cant be beat.

i really love the apartment Everything was clean and in great repair, friendly staff, very secure and safe. Amenities are fabulous, pool, exercise room, wifi room etc.
