I haven’t even moved in yet. I signed a lease 2 weeks ago, was told nothing about potential delays on my unit just that the building would have renovations going on and it could be noisy at times.. Less than 2 weeks after signing my lease I received a 15 second voice message from the leasing agent Jason, stating that my lease date is being pushed back 9 days which puts me in a major dilemma because my current lease is expiring 4 days before that… I’ve left 2 voice messages, 3 emails and have not received any response from the property manager as to why my lease date is being pushed back 9 days… Jason said he forward my emails to the manager, but unfortunately he’s in no position to assist in any way nor could he explain what the delay was from… Residential Property managers are already notorious for being miserable to deal with. Yet instead of calling me and explaining why I’m being delayed by 9 days and what they can do it assist in this inconvenience, I get radio silence and have no clue what’s going on.. I’m still waiting for some type of response and I bet I get a quicker one by posting on a public platform than I will by emailing/calling them directly… whoever the manager is, I’m expecting a call back because that’s your job! If I could go back 2 weeks I would never sign a lease with this building. A property manager who can’t pick up the phone in a time like this, should NOT be a property manager.
My unit had carpet in it and I had to throw away my mattress and headboard twice, due to bed bugs. I offered to the leasing office, either switch to a new unit or let me out of my lease early. The leasing office's response was sorry we're not doing anything and we will send a pest control guy to your unit, and bill you for the cost.
The management is horrible and has no respect for families and their children! They demand to enter your apartment without you being present! While blasting fire alarms all day. So, if you like harassment all day long for multiple times a year call Tanisha and say "I want my children terrified all day and my pets too! How can I get a good deal on one of your ALARM SIREN SPECIALS! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! TENANTS WHO CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!! Management lacks consideration for their tenants.

I don’t normally write reviews, however I want to share my recent experiences at what is now called 10X Living at Mizner Park in Boca Raton. Recently I have found the maintenance, Dan & team, very responsive to my request for normally minor repairs, such as an A/C filter change or a warning light in my refrigerator. They always show up the very next day and handle the situation. Thank you Ms. Mobley and Chris with your assistance with the move in and helping me adapt to my new life in Florida. PS: I looked at many other options in the Boca Raton downtown area. This is by far the best value ! Thanks, George 511
AC unit broke and was not replaced until months later, and before that, the bill was outrageous, mold throughout the entire building, the hallway carpet floors would be soaked and resulted in reeking of musty mildew. In my bathroom- mold around the walls and vents- the maintenance came and simply repainted over it as if that would solve the problem. My floors throughout my bedroom which are wood paneling have been flooding with water that is not drying clear so is most likely sewage. Not only this but when I first moved in the walls were clearly not repainted after the previous tenant. Most importantly I live on the third floor and I have never encountered so many roaches in my home in my life and keep in mind that I have lived in a New York City apartment. I have killed hundreds of roaches and they come out the vents, loose sprinklers, and poorly sealed door entrances. Management staff is unfriendly and unprofessional, especially the male who controls the mailroom as I have heard him talking inappropriately about women on the phone and will blatantly ignore you if you need help. The Office center never had working computers. Overall is overpriced and clearly has structural problems. Oh, and good look not getting your car booted.
Absolutely don't recommend living in this place!!!! it is dirty everywhere, the people that live here are so loud, disrespectful and unkind neighbors cant believe i moved here thinking it was going to be a nice experience.
This apt complex is an ABOMINATION under all aspects. If you find a positive review on it - know that it is not a review written by an actual resident. It is not inexpensive to rent a place here, yet you will deal with major parking issues, don’t believe them if you are told you have an assigned spot because technically you won’t. ...cars are being booted and towed constantly, items are stolen in the garage. The halls smell like garbage, no AC in the common areas… your AC in your apt will be giving you issues day in and day out. Came home from work many times to find the AC broken and our pets in 85 degrees!!! The appliances are so outdated your electric bill will be to the roof. Rodents and cockroaches in the garbage chute... mold and leaks throughout the entire building. Ownership could care less. The incompetent and dishonest staff in the leasing office only care about collecting rent...nothing else.

Overpriced for dirty carpet and outdated decor. You only get 1 parking spot and they boot everyone if you don't park in your spot. The leasing office is extremely unprofessional and rude. They threaten to send my mail back but forget to notify me about my packages. They send out texts threatening people about smoking weed, being loud, picking up after their dog. It's like getting nagged by your mom. This place sucks. Don't move here.

Well, to start off, the entire building smells. If you come visit, I recommend visiting the floors, not just the entry way. I can specifically say floor 5 reeks of cat litter, carpet stains, occasional spills that don’t get cleaned up. Carpet is probably just as old as the building. You only get one parking space per unit, so if you have a roommate, good luck playing musical cars 5-6 days a week. I have to move my car every morning by 7:45am just to avoid getting booted. My roommate and I have been booted ($90 each time) a total of 4 times. They say the will call us before they boot to give us a chance to move it, but they deny it once the opportunity arises. Packages get stolen all the time, they have a camera in the mail room and they used to review videos, but not since they switched management 6 months ago. They refuse to do anything about the package thief/thieves. Also, I have had a total of 6 instances where things in the apartment have broken/needed repair (washing machine, refrigerator, kitchen sink, etc). This should be a red flag on the condition these apartments are in - I have been in boca for 5 years and this is the first apartment where I’ve needed these kinds of repairs, let alone 6 times! Each time, maintenance has postponed us for 1-2 weeks. So these issues are not met within a reasonable amount of time. Also, during the hurricane, the porch was not draining properly and our 5th floor unit flooded while the A/C was off for a few days. The whole unit reeked of mold and mildew and was not livable. They said they would address it but 4 days after power went back on I began to call maintenance every day to remind them, because mind the unit was not livable - I had to stay elsewhere because of the mold. Nothing was done until day 8 and they didn’t even replace the carpet! Just threw a fan in there. It still stinks. They would not accommodate us for the unlivable 8 days the unit was in a serious mold violation. I could go on... this is not just the lowest quality in east boca, but in all of boca. If you tour, be sure to ask plenty of questions and be cautious - I busted one of the leasing agents in a lie while he was giving a tour - he said packages are safe and they don’t have issues with stealing when earlier that week I spoke to him directly about my package being stolen. This place is the absolute worst

My husband and I have lived at Camino Real for 29 days and unfortunately it has not been a pleasant experience. The first day we moved in we discovered that the master toilet wasn't flushing correctly and the guest shower head wasn't working. In addition, our apartment was supposed to be cleaned prior to our move in date, but there were rust stains in one toilet and a grainy blue and black substance in the guest toilet. To make matters worse, we didn't get a bit of sleep the first night due to the loud train noise (that the Leasing office failed to mention). A few days later, we noticed that the dishwasher was leaking water and today we woke up to water on the bathroom floor. Needless to say, we have submitted 4 work orders in less than 30 days of move-in. The location of this apartment complex is great, but Property Management really needs to have a better preventative maintenance plan and replace the outdated appliances, counters and cabinetry. In addition, there are several pet owners in the building who fail to pick up their dog's poop. There's poop in the garage, in the grass areas near the front of the building and someone even left dog poop in the marble entrance. The parking situation is also annoying because you only have 1 dedicated parking spot from 6pm to 8am M-F. So, you constantly have to move your car throughout the day to avoid getting your car booted.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. As a resident you are not guaranteed parking unless you live alone. YOU WILL HAVE YOUR CAR BOOTED WITH NO WARNING EVEN IN A RESIDENT SPOT. This place is a joke and management is even more of a joke. The manager told me to my face that she did not care if residents were happy or not because she does her job and gets her paycheck and gets to leave at the end of the day. It is overpriced for the rundown, smelly, moldy building that it is. And the amenities listed? Forget about using them. There are 6 massage appointment slots a week and the retiree residents have their slots booked MONTHS in advance so good luck ever getting an appointment. The gym equipment, hot tub, etc. are "out of order" majority of the time with no expected fix date ever listed. The maintenance workers have told me that they know my air conditioning and other rundown issues need to be handled by professionals, but the office will not allow them to properly fix them as it is cheaper to "band aid fix"...but not cheaper on my electric bill!! They keep adding fees I never agreed to pay...such as randomly deciding we could no longer pay rent by check..only online..which they charge you a convenience fee to pay online...even though I'm not CHOOSING to pay online. It's ridiculous. And they send you announcements ONLY through mass text messaging which gets charged on your monthly phone bill. So if you're like me and block the number to avoid another excess charge...you will not get a last minute notice in parking changes and end up with another boot. READ your lease...you are required to have a 30-day WRITTEN notice for any parking changes...and when I argued with the manager about this she kicked me out and said I was harassing her...seriously do not live here and just pay the extra $200 somewhere else close by that will not burn your nostrils the second you walk in.

I have lived here for almost 8 years and up until about 6 months ago, I had no real issues. The place is conveniently located and the staff was friendly. This is no longer the case due to recent management and rule changes. Parking is suddenly a nightmare due to crazy rules that enforce assigned parking for only certain hours during each day. The result is that you do not have an assured parking spot that you can park in and stay. Several times a week you are forced to interrupt what you are doing in your home to begin a process of moving your car from a "flex" spot to your assigned spot. If you do not move your car you are booted with no notice. I call the moving of your car a process because it is rare that you can simply interrupt your dinner and move your car to your assigned spot. It usually involves going to the garage, finding someone still parked in your assigned spot (because someone is still parked in their spot) and calling security. There is then either 30-60 minutes of getting that car moved or their car gets booted. The whole process takes time and as this happens 1-3 times a week, it is extremely stressful and is a constant interruption of the quiet enjoyment assured by any apartment lease. The rules have changed and been interpreted different ways by management over the last few months which results in a rash of bootings whenever they make a change to the policy. The people being booted are not people who are ignoring the rules, they are good tenants who are trying to follow the crazy rules, yet will get their vehicle booted without notice at some point no matter how they try. If you speak with other long-time tenents, as well as new tenents who have been quickly affected by the bad management here, you will hear many other nightmare stories about Camino Real. After almost 8 years of living here I would no longer advise anyone new to move in.

Warning!! Do Not Move Here! This place is a joke! If you are considering moving here you must have the management fully explain the parking RULES! You are assigned one parking space per apartment no matter how many cars you have. The kicker is your space is only reserved between 6 pm and 8 am Monday thru Friday. If you are still considering looking here... make sure you see other floors besides the show room apartments on the first floor. The other floors aren't maintained at all! They smell of urine and mold! The carpets have never been replaced since the building was built. When a flood happens ( and it happens often ) all they do is vacuum the water up, spray some chemicals and then blow dry! Since I have been here my apt has flooded 4 times and they have never replaced the carpets. My air-conditioning has broken down a number of times. The gym is outdated and uncleaned. Trade mills have been broken for months and were finally replaced with used ones! There are no TV's in the gyms! The pool is disgusting and not well maintained. Coffee is not available as an amenity as is listed. The fountains have been broken for months! Stagnant water remains and have become mosquito infested. The management have raised the thermostats to 80 degrees in the common areas. The air is stale and because of the high temperatures, it promotes mold. We use to have someone come in on Sundays to empty trash and compact trash in the trash room. No more! The smell of trash lingers on the first floor and if you dare to take your trash to the trash room, you are met by huge RATS; who then scamper up the trash shoot to other floors! Take a walk around the building and note the mold growing around windows of some of the apartments. Each year they raise our rent but continue to reduce the amenities and take less care of the apartments! I could go on and on about other concerns of the residents and how unresponsive management is to the residents concerns but I hope this alone will make you reconsider moving here. i will say there is great potential for Camino Real but until OWNERSHIP decides to listen to and act on the residents concerns' do not move here! As soon as my lease expires we are moving!
The hallways smell really bad , rats in the trash cointeners ... cucarachas inside the apartment .. no AC in the hall ... 80 degrees inside the building . Really bad this months, after 6 years the worst unclean building .
I really want to like this place, but it is so horribly run that you feel like a 2nd class resident. My floors hallway smells like vomit, urine and covered in mold. The pool area is disgusting most days with cigarette butts and empty beer bottles most days, during business hours. Those don't even compare to the parking situation that continues to degrade. I went from having an assigned parking on the 2nd floor to now being moved to the 4th floor without even being asked(except for now I do not have true assigned parking, as other people can use my parking spot). How do I not have a secure parking spot when I rent a 2 bedroom apartment? The amenities are a joke. All of the treadmills, in the workout room, have been for 2 months. I've had several packages stolen from the mail room, because there is no security and the office won't hold packages for residents. Anyone can walk in and grab my packages. I've lived in a ton of apartments in my life, but none have treated their residents with this level of unprofessionalism.
My better half and I have been a resident of Camino Real for 14 years; that in itself says so much! It's said that real-estate is all about "location, location, location!" Camino Real is conveniently located to Grocery Stores ( Publix, Fresh Market, Trader Joe's ) Shopping, Restaurants ( Mizner is within walking distance ) and colleges. We are less than a mile to the beaches of Boca! There are great amenities as listed above and are excellent and well maintained. ( where else can you get a free monthly massage and twice weekly yoga )All of that is well and good but what puts Camino Real over the top is the Management and Staff. Any issues are taken care of quickly and professionally. We have been here so long that management and staff are like family! We feel at home and very safe at Camino Real.
Very contented resident!! Management is excellent! Problems always resolved quickly and pleasantly! Maintenance Department is up to date resolving any problems! Always with a smile and professionally! Amenities are as listed and kept up to par! In house monthly massage especially enjoyable! Very convenient to the beach/shopping/markets/ entertainment/restaurants! Building /Pool/Sauna all kept in excellent condition! Being able to walk to many venues is a major plus! As an older resident I feel very comfortable and safe here! Apartment is spacious/ well maintained!
We have lived here for over three years. It is located between Trader Joe's and Publix, walking distance to restaurants and shops (and just one mile from the beach)! There is free yoga twice a week in the building and another class on Saturday mornings in the park down the road within walking distance. It is a very dog friendly community. We live with two teens and two dogs and have enough space. Plus they have storage units you can rent if you need them. Bedrooms are generous. Closets are generous. There is a balcony that gives you outside space. There is a gym and pool and hot tub and a terrace on the 9th floor with a great view. The office staff is kind and understanding, and issues that can be prevented/managed are taken seriously. Jomar is office manager and she is very kind. They have dinners once a year in the courtyard for people to get to know each other. The apartments do not own the garage, but have contracted with the garage, and if you have more than one car parking can sometimes be an issue. There is only one spot allotted per unit. We got around this because a kind neighbor who does not use a car lets us use his spot. People here are friendly. It's a nice community. Maintenance staff is super nice and they take care of issues quickly. Security staff on site overnight are friendly and respond to complaints quickly. Issues are not serious, mostly college students getting a little loud late at night, but it is rare.

Maintenance issues resolved almost immediately and very skilled....Frank especially stands out here! Lovely property, well-maintained and a very welcoming place to come home! I have been a resident living here for 2.5 years and I'm renewing for another 18 months in June. That in itself is indicative of my feeling about the complex. It is a great layout with plenty of amenities and in an excellent location. The Maintenance staff are always friendly, responsive and courteous and the office personnel are wonderful. Any complaints, in my opinion are the result of those who don't like rules. If you want respect, then give respect. From a personal perspective, if the building is governed by the rules of conduct and general policy, I would not be comfortable living here. As long as I reside here, this is my home and anyone doing there job to enhance the comfort and safety of my home are greatly appreciated... and they are!
I've been a resident of Camino Real Apartments for the past 1 1/2 years. I first fell in love with the staff. Ms. Carlene was a pleasant help and answered all of my questions without fail. She and Pam helped to finalize my decision to move. Upon move-in, my son and I were greeted with a housewarming gift and card, which I still have. Jomar and Pam are amazing managers. They've never left an issue unresolved or drawn-out, and I am always welcome whenever I need them. The amenities are also to boast, since those massages are much needed every month. Yoga also helps to unwind. The location is also unmatched as practically everything is within walking distance or a pickup request to the Downtowner. I've experienced serenity, peace and calm in this place and am thankful everyday to live here. I love coming home!! While some complain about the college students, I have yet to experience any negative. There are many tenants who've lived here for many years, the longest being 12 years and also have no complaints. Also, I feel that I am getting an excellent package for living here in comparison to the rest of downtown Boca which is extremely overpriced and without the amenities of Camino Real. Move here!!!! I moved in a few months after the building opened--and I still live here 14 years later. It's a beautiful place to live. You can walk to everything (grocery stores, the beach, restaurants, the post office, etc.). The building is quiet and clean and still looks new. The management, housekeeping, and maintenance staff are the most friendly and helpful people. The office manager Jomar is sensational and quickly resolves issues as they arise (i.e. a/c unit, washer/dryer, etc.). Excellent gym with free weights if you like to workout. Very pet friendly. Highly recommend.
