Property Ratings at Campus Crossings at Star Pass
I lived here in 2009,2010 and 2011 in a studio, 3x3 and a 2x2 while an undergrad at UoA. This place was great. Clean, good manager and the best maintenance staff. So with that I moved back in 2023 while I’m in a grad program. Mistake. This place is nothing like it use to be. Move in condition of my apartment was pathetic. So dirty, floors, ceiling, walls, blinds just everywhere. All my cabinets are pealing, broken microwave, broken disposal, broken fridge, massive water leak in-shower, no shower pole, no shower head, broken blinds, just disgusting. I have to pay $100 year now for parking and if not home by 8 pm cannot park here because there are no spots. Shuttle is broke down a lot, the Wi-Fi is not dependable, hallways are filthy and the hall ceilings leak when it rains and the drywall is falling to the ground. Dogs poop everywhere so it always smells on the property and people let their dogs poop on the sidewalks and in the basketball court because they use the basketball court as a dog run. If you get a bad neighbor like I have you will have to listen to their big dog bark all day sometimes starting at 5am and the manager does nothing as I have had to listen to it for 6 months. So if you want to do your homework you have to leave your apartment and go somewhere else. Weed smell, management does nothing stating weed is legal even though legally a tenant can not do anything to infringe on the rights of other tenants meaning sure weed is legal , dogs are legal but they are not to bother other tenants that have leases as well. But honestly this complex doesn’t care and they have no idea how to understand the legality’s of it. I don’t mind the occasional weed smell, party or dog barking but if you have school and ever need quiet you won’t get it here and the office does nothing to deter bad behavior, heck they encourage it. Management always has excuses too. I would never let my college kid live here if I wanted them to be able to sleep and study.
My experience living here has been frustrating. First, they moved me into an apartment with lots of damage from the previous tenant, mold issues, and insect issues. My truck was towed from the parking lot by A&B Towing (despite the fact that I pay $20 a month for parking, and had a parking pass displayed). Now that I want to break my lease after two months of problem after problem, I have to pay an extra $500 to do so. Management has a very corporate feel to it and will not work with you. Unacceptable!!
Full experience after moving out. I've lived here for 3 years. The good: Nice pool, gated complex, great views (depending on your specific apartment), covered parking available, garbage cans right outside each building, quick maintenance, (usually) friendly staff, apartment was in okay condition upon move-in. The bad: Pool frequently closed due to the not-so-smart college students who live here, main gate FREQUENTLY break, side gate has been broken for months with no attempt to fix, staff doesn't allow the gates to be opened for visitors, not enough visitor parking, usually difficult to get cars towed out of your spot, garbage cans are spilled nearly every day because they don't know how to build a fence to keep out javelinas, they're charging me for blinds that were worn out (they were old when I moved in) and refuse to listen to me, hallways are disgusting and never cleaned, roommate and I had to call security and police over 10 times before my downstairs neighbors decided to turn their music down (staff told me they take action after 5 complaints but this is clearly not the case), I've seen one of the managers being very rude to people over the phone and in person, we were promised an upgrade each year we stayed and received nothing, VERY overpriced compared to my new apartment. Side note: This apartment has offered free internet since I moved in. A couple months ago, they announced gigabit internet upgrades. Great right? Turns out the gigabit speed is divided among each apartment. I was seeing a max of 20gbps vs about 15gbps before the "upgrade." The new network also rendered my private network and expensive Nighthawk router 100% useless. Google Homes and Chromecasts also do not work on the new network. If you value your privacy and freedom on the internet, I would stay away from Campus Crossings for this reason alone. Go somewhere that lets you choose your own provider. Verdict: Overall, it's not the worst place to live. I may have made it seem that way, but I'm being honest and I know there are some terrible complexes out there. It looks nice from far away and in pictures, but upon a closer inspection the buildings are old and the whole complex is not kept clean at all. If you're considering living here, do more research. It definitely feels like they don't care about you, especially after this negative move out experience. There are better apartments out there for similar pricing or less; I would not recommend that anyone live here.

I was visiting a friend who lives here because my boyfriend and I were interested in moving in. The only two visitor parking spots were full and our friend had told us people park outside their apartment all the time no problem. 2 hours later we came out to our car gone. The towing company they use is not open Fri-Sun and since it was a Friday night we had to wait until Monday to get the car a pay extra fees. If your own residents don't understand the parking situation, that's a problem. There should at least be signs up to warn the visitors about the parking situation considering there are only two spots available for visitors. My friend went to the office and they told her that if there are not any visitor spots available then people have to go park at Pima. Professional? Definitely will not be moving here.
This location is very far from campus. They do provide a shuttle but don't rely on it. I am currently 2 months into the semester and have been stranded at campus over 5 times already. Uber charges are getting expensive and usually there is no notice of shuttle cancellations. Where there is, its no more than 6 hours in advanced (so too late to make plans). The shuttle was a deal breaker for us and its unreliability makes this apartment not worth the distance. TL;DR: Consider another location unless you have a parking pass

Just got off the phone with a very combative office manager Amy. Honestly, if I had an employee representing my company's product or service like this, they would be dismissed from their duties immediately. I had been trying to get ahold of someone in billing since last Friday to no avail. Apparently the person in billing was out of the office and no one to cover their work. Took me three calls and two emails to get a very rude call back from Amy. Very disappointing way to start off the year. Plan to post my experience elsewhere.

Decent living spaces. The pool is really nice. The gym is okay. Everyone who lives here is a college student. If you request a repair they are pretty quick to fix it up. There is very limited guest parking and you have to walk out of the apartment with your gate card to let guests into the gates and it's located pretty far from the UA campus, so not really the ideal hang out place. But it's nice if you want to just come home and chill. The shuttle service to campus is alright, but you should have your own car if you want to live this far from the main stores. The trash service is awful and javelinas always attack the trash cans at night. No recycling :(

I would not recommend living here to anyone, when I first moved in my apartment was completely destroyed, everything was broken or trash and cat litter everywhere, even though I was told prior to moving in that It was being cleaned and that's why I wasn't allowed to see the place yet. The employees are all college kids so they don't care about you or giving good customer service at all, they are not helpful what so ever and half of them don't even know their own company rules.
Campus Crossings on Starr Pass is an excellent apartment complex to live in. With great activities through out the month, free shuttle to the University and mall and friendly staff to help with any questions or concerns it really stands out above the rest. Maintenance is very friendly and reliable, they'll be sure to help you out whenever you're in need. They have a great gym, tanning beds, fitness on demand room, basketball courts, volleyball courts, game room, computer room, lounge and swimming pool/spa that makes living here so much sweeter! Would definitely recommend!
