Property Ratings at Campus Edge Apts
The people that work here are very respectful of tenants in my experience. They respect your space. They also vaccum the whole building regularly and keep the kitchen clean at all times. I can see they're doing small efforts to renovate which I can understand it's hard with the economy during pandemic up until now. But I see some good developments. It looks better every day. The main areas have cameras which is always a good safety procedure. Majority of tenants are students and some retired folk majority of whom are nice as well.
This place is not very soundproof. You can hear people through the walls. Only are lucky if you don’t get someone next to you and can hear two doors down playing music. People fight out in the halls lol. Instead of putting budget in to soundproof the spaces, the complex decided to renovate by painting things different colors and sprucing up the hallways. Maybe that can be a future plan. Staff was really accommodating and helped me move to a quieter room. Laundry card is easy to use but to put money on the card, you have to be in the office during the unreliable office hours. Sometimes there is no one in the office for days at a time. However, the staff is friendly. It is a good place to live independently. Staff is good at giving heads up if maintenance needs to come in for a check. Maintenance team is fast to respond. Really nice in having all commodities for a low price and utilities included. Wi-Fi is unreliable and just does not work at all in most of the complex, so I recommend getting your own Wi-Fi with a strong password no one can steal. The Wi-Fi only works on the second floor, unless this was changed. If you are tight on money and don’t mind some background noise sometimes, I recommend it. They also allow pets (no big dogs though) which is a big perk to a lot of people. I overall enjoyed my stay there. The worst thing was during renovations and there were all these chemicals around and I was worried about my rodent pets, and some people were also coming around to spray the rooms for bugs once, and thank god I was there or else they were about to spray the room with my pets in there. They were pretty unsympathetic about potentially harming my pets and got defensive about it. Best to probably live alone there and the space is very small.
This apartment is just perfect. It is close to supermarkets, downtown, and it is right next to SIU. Maintenance have always helped us. Utilities are included and there is unlimited and fast WiFi. It is also a very safe neighbor. I appreciate the work they put in.l!
It has free WIFI and shuttle to Walmart. Near to the College of Business.
This apartment is perfect for my work and school situation. I walk through a parking lot, and I'm magically at work/school. Large closets to fuel my clothes addiction and laundry in my apartment add to the practicality of my space. The furniture and carpet are very old yet functional. Overall, its the perfect starter place for a college girl on a tight budget!
