Property Ratings at Campus Edge at Brigham
I’ve been here for about a month and I love it. The office staff are very friendly and helpful. When I moved in my apartment was very clean and nice. I would recommend these places to anyone.
HORRIBLE!!!! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! (0 STARS!) Never will I choose to live in such a torn down and disgusting place ever again. They really reel you in because they're one of the only apartments in the fredonia area that is affordable to college students. The office workers are EXTREMELY RUDE and the maintenance worker does little to NONE to "maintain" the already horrible conditions within the apartment complex. Did NOT get a security deposit back even though I left the place exactly (if not better than) how I got it in Fall of 2016. I spent 2 weeks of constant cleaning to try to match up to their ridiculous standards and eventually just gave up because of all the pressure and extreme disrespect I had to endure was too much! I am so glad to be out of this disgusting place! PLEASE DO NOT LIVE HERE! ANYTHING WOULD BE BETTER
This place was an "acceptable" place to live, as long as you don't mind paying for an apartment while living in an old motel. The office staff, accompanied by the maintanence manager WILL be in your apartment while you aren't there. I used to always stay during mid-semester breaks, and repeatedly witnessed these people entering apartments unannounced while almost everyone else had returned home. The (seemingly uneducated and barely literate) office staff will discuss, in detail, your personal financial obligations and discrepancies with anyone interested: they have a "complete public disclosure" policy (which is entirely unlawful). Additionally, the office will deduct unreasonable, entirely falsified accounts of necessary "cleaning" that had to have been done after you've handed in the keys, and no longer have a method of proving their deceitful ways to a court. This is their way of keeping EVERY single resident's security deposit - as the charges for the unnecessary and imaginary cleaning are outrageous. So, to summarize; They "snoop" in your apartment while you're gone, they talk to people about your personal matters and about you "owing them money", and consider your security deposit a fee instead of a deposit, as it will not be returned.
The Brigham Apartments are a short 7 minute walk to class, which will certainly be nice during the winter. The noise level is astonishingly low for college apartments. Everyone seems to be respectful of others' sleep schedules.
When I was transferring to SUNY Fredonia I was so lost when trying to figure out where I should live. I was not going to dorm on campus because it's extremely expensive. The cost here is more reasonable than most places around, especially if you don't have 3-4 friends to find a house with. Everything is included in your rent and you really have nothing to worry about except for making sure you either pay monthly or semesterly. The wonderful ladies in the office will even help out as much as possible if you need to find a roommate. It's not easy but they honestly try their best! Jackie is the nicest person ever and if you need someone to just talk to or hang out with, she is a cool chick! Jackie and Kay always put a smile on my face whenever I see them. I've really enjoyed the almost year and a half I've been here.
This is my first place away from home and i love it. Its super quiet and clean and maintenance is always a phone call away. The office has great availability and are super friendly and reasonable!! Theres a bus stop right across the street that brings you downtown for free. It always really nice coming back from a night out to a quiet place! Moving to Campus edge was definitely a great choice!!
If you are a college student trying to get off campus, this is your best option! It's cheaper than on campus housing, but your just as close to school. They care about their tenants and go out of their way to make you feel special. Jackie and Kay are the best! If anything goes wrong, give them a call and maintenance will be over quickly! You can also choose to pay semesterly and wait for your refund checks to pay your rent! Not to mention how nice the townhouses are, I LOVE THEM!
