Walk away from applying applying here if you are able. It looks pretty, but the corporation running this place is truly evil, and the employees working for them are incompetent and unprofessional.

As mentioned, our $50 non-refundable screening fee, an industry-standard that we do not profit from, allows us to process your application through a 3rd party, which takes more than 200 variables into account when determining your results. Our community does not require any sort of minimum to be met outside of the monthly income ratio, which was also mentioned. We are not able to provide any advice or insight on whether your application will be approved, as that process is handled completely outside of our office and not something we have any influence over. I lived in Canal's Edge for 26 months without any problems. It was the first place I lived when I moved to Canal Winchester. Great location to shopping, the highway, and schools. The Property Manager enforces the lease to reduce/eliminate trouble in the community and repairs are made in a timely manner. The rent is comparable to other apartments in the Canal Winchester school district. I would still be there if not for a change in my family needs.
We moved in here when we needed a short term apartment or we are building our house this apartment complex and management are great! The apartments a huge, clean and well taken care of. Management is very responsive, visible and respectful. We love that our pets were welcome and the grounds were well kept. We have enjoyed our time here and now that we are moving on we have and will continue to recommend Canal’s Edge.
I have lived at Canal's Edge for the past 2 years (9/17-9/19). To state the obvious, the apartments are huge, 3 bathrooms is a luxury, and the location is convenient. Things you would only know from living here: the neighbors don't bother each other (I can't stand dodging neighbors when I am just trying to check my mail without a bra on) & I don't like small talk (I am not mean, I am a teacher and have to talk all day), Sharon and the maintenance guy are THE BEST. Literally, they will do any and everything to help you. I have had really bad apartment managers and really good ones, these two are the best of the best - which makes living her so stress-free, parking is spacious and stress-free, they are clean, I have seen maybe 1 spider by the door. I hate bugs, can't live with them. None here! The grounds allow for a nice walk, too! I highly recommend this place.
My husband and I have been in these apartments for about 8 months, and we have regretted every moment we have been here. I agree with a previous reviewer that these apartments are absolutely outdated, and the price does not match the quality, not even a little bit. It is unfortunate that the owners care more about the outside of these apartments than the inside. These apartments are dirty, dusty and nasty! The owners live right behind us and micromanage this community as if they have nothing else to do. Up until a few months ago, the property manager lived right next door! We feel uncomfortable here everyday and have no peace of mind. We feel we are paying way too much money to be treated the way we have been. They complain about everything. There is no assigned parking but they complain when people park wherever. I have noticed that there are quite a few empty apartments out here and I am honestly not surprised. The trash can is ALL the way in the back where you have to drive your trash to the compacter. There are no amenities to warrant the high priced rent. The bedrooms are tiny, the 3rd bedroom is so small I get claustrophobic in it! I would never recommend anyone I cared about to these apartments. The kitchen is so antiquated it's ridiculous. Studio size appliances from the 90's although these were built in 2001! The closet space is minimal, no linen closet. We are truly disappointed, dissatisfied and feel disrespected! I could continue going on about these apartments, like the cheap paint they use, the raggedy old tile on the floor, the water smelling like sewage etc, but I'll just sit this right here!
Me and my husband have been residents for 11 going on 12 years at Canals Edge and we are still here, we are treated so nice here by the management team, the owners and management make sure the grounds are kept clean and if you should need maintenance it is taken care of within 24 hours if not before, we are surrounded by good hard working people and that is great. The office staff is always willing to help in any way and make sure all the children are having fun and doing things for them throughout the year. Sharon is a great addition to the Canals Edge team and will go above and beyond for her residents. This is a great place to live and safe for everyone. Looking forward to plenty more years here at Canals Edge. We recommend that if your looking for a pleasant and safe environment for your children and your family, come check them out for yourself.
The apartments are out dated the owner is a rude, money hungry, and child.you will regret every second you live there

At Canals Edge we have wonderful wonderful tenants who live here. We care about each and every one of them. Incoming residents have a choice to choose upgraded units if they desire.
We absolutely loved our time here. The staff and all the neighbors were the best! The townhouse was very spacious as well. We also loved having an attached garage with electricity in it, a major plus! I definitely recommend Canal's Edge.
