Property Ratings at Canton Mill Lofts
Currently there is Mold growing within 3 different apartments that we know of personally. B114 has a severe Roach issue along with other units as well. Highly recommend taking your $$ elsewhere and getting a better experience.
I have just recently moved into Canton Mill Lofts and just love the historic Architecture with all of the modern amenities. Service is exceptional.
The moment I saw the lofts I knew I wanted to live here! I moved from Florida and was searching for something close to the Atlanta but also within driving distance of hiking. The lofts offer just that! They are not only gorgeous but the staff is incredible. Usually getting paperwork and everything done is a hassle but Ashley and Emily made every step a breeze. I cannot say enough good about these sweet women! Ashley has answered every question, and pointed me in the right direction for all of my housing needs. This move has been the easiest by far of all the places I’ve lived. Parking is simple, you have all the restaurants, fast food spots and grocery needs met within a two miles radius. I’d absolutely recommend the Lofts!!
The whole place is rundown, the trash is constantly overflowing, the gate only works like 1 day at a time, they lie the whole way through the process, and there are bugs. Everywhere. They have random furniture on the curbs that they won’t deal with and like 6 shopping carts?? They have this “live it love it” policy, which says if you leave within the first 30 days you get all deposits and fees back. No other context in the lease, but apparently they have policies saying if some stay and some go the people going get none of their deposits back AND the people staying get to stay and use your credit. Also, DO NOT BELIEVE CAITLIN OR ANY OFFICE STAFF WHEN BRINGING A PET IN. They have a ridiculous $400 pet fee and deposit and they will tell you it is completely refundable, and the lease will say things that make this true. They are lying and you will absolutely never see any of your money back. Ever. Run for the hills.
We had the best experience thus far with Canton Mill Lofts. The apartments are spacious and unique. The staff is very friendly. Emily assisted us with move in. She was very kind and helpful. We love living here!
I love my loft and have lived her over a year; however, effective January 2020 Venterra Living took over... have they done some good things? A few but the Property Manager doesn’t even pick up the phone and if you call the office to speak with him, you have to send him an email. The building has never been dirtier - the halls are not swept and mopped and there is garbage left everywhere in and around the building! They care more about rent then they do fixing the issues at hand!
Loft living would be nice if the property was maintained the right way. Promises were made when we lived there none were ever followed up with. Moving out was our only choice to find peace of mind. While under the old management nothing was ever done. Now that it’s been sold to a new company still nothing is being done to bring the property up to code. The pictures that are being used are not current. They like showing off the pool because it is truly nice, but you don’t live at the pool. They are basically pushing current residents out by not fixing current issues, ask yourself why do they have so many empty units. Go see if you want but ask about up keep and changes. ( there are tons of issues in this historic old complex) nothing is being addressed.
I have water intrusion and mold growth in my apartments. Initial leak was reported in January to no avail. Since, mold grwoth, parts of ceiling falling down. Paint falling of in chunks with morter. My brick wall looks like a water fall when it rains. Mold was questionably addressed by maintenance staff, and is already regrowing and spreading. My fiance and I have been experiencing related health issues. Communication with the company has been sporadic and unsatisfactory. We are not staying in the apartment currently. Though we were in communciation on 2.14.2020, as of 3pm today I have not heard anything from the company since the previous friday.
The apartment is disgusting, trash every where people let their dogs go to the bathroom and do not pick it up. Everytime I walk into my building it smells like weed which is a little better than the smell of pee outside. you can never reach anyone on the phone. their office hours are terrible if you have a full time job you cannot even get into the offices because they are closed on your way to work and closed after. most of the people in the offices are rude. the maintenance people are even worse they openly complain to the resident about doing their jobs and telling us its not their job to do this or that. DO NOT LIVE HERE... Just a warning there is a reason it is rated 1-2 stars on every site you look
I had been familiar with the lofts approximately two years ago with not positive reviews but needed a space to live close to work. Under new management, I have seen beautiful renovations for apartments and complex as a whole. Staff is also very timely in answering any issues with apartment needs. Plenty of space for opportunity that is finally being utilized. Very pleased with updates and future.
Spacious high ceilings ,amenities include gym and swimming pool,convenient location to enjoy nearby park ,restaurants , movie theater, shopping, and banking.Pet friendly .
I was drawn to these apartments because of their loft design. 15 foot ceilings, 12 foot windows, exposed brick, open design, all great elements. But the management is really bad. And the residents are mostly very young, and have no respect for the building or other residents. My husband and I can't even go to the pool. Every time we try, there are groups of people who think it's the perfect place to drink and use foul language, listen to music full of bad language, and leave trash everywhere. And speaking of trash, I'm not sure how often the dumpster is supposed to be emptied, but it routinely fills up the surrounding area. It's an eye-sore and smells awful! The management in the office rarely ever answer the phone, and have never ONCE returned a phone message left. I've lived here for two years and it has steadily declined. My lease is up in November and we will not be staying. There are apartments in the area with similar rent that are better than this. Don't get lured in by the loft design, it's not worth it!
Very spacious. Awesome lofts. 2 tall rounded windows. Spiral stair case. Bedrooms are perfect size. Every thing is open. Huge laundry room. 2 big baths beautiful view of court yard. There's a gym. Pool. Walking distance to all stores
The Canton Mill Lofts are a good place to live. The area is nice and the people are pretty friendly. There are a few problems with security, but nothing that the management can't handle. The apartments are gorgeous and open, just what a loft should be. It's city life in a country atmosphere. I would definitely recommend my friends and strangers on the street check the Lofts out!
