The staff at canvas make you feel so welcomed. I can’t wait to move in!

The staff is the friendliest people I have ever come across. Jaynie was is a sweetheart and very real. I would recommend Canvas to anyone based on the price and space.

I have lived and toured at many other apartments in allendale. Canvas stands out as the favorite. The maintenance is top tier and the staff especially Christopher is extremely helpful. The townhomes are very affordable and homey. So excited to be apart of the Canvas family!

The 4 bedroom/4 bath apartments are huge. Lots of space and private bathrooms in these modern college apartments.

The homes are huge, and the upgraded ones are super nice! The staff is great and makes you feel welcomed, especially Porter from the office!

Great space in the houses, private bathrooms are great. Maintenance can sometimes a while but it depends. Walking paths are nice.

I love living at canvas! Everytime I come to the office the staff is so nice and immediately on their feet to greet me. AND maintenance takes care of my work orders lickity split! No where I’d rather be, I’ll definitely be recommending canvas to everyone!!

This is my first year with Canvas, and not my last! The leasing process was simple and quick and I love how spacious the townhomes are. Abbie in the leasing office has been so helpful with all of my questions! Definitely take a tour while you can!

As a student, I am able to commute to and from class with ease. The office staff is always so kind and helpful with all of my questions. Plus, the units themselves are HUGE and newly updated!

I love it here! I have lived here since August 2020 and I just re-signed to live here again for the August 2021-July 2022 term. The upgraded apartments are extremely stylish and the kitchen is my favorite part of the unit. All appliances are brand new and stainless steel, and the stove has five burners which is perfect for how much I cook! The bedrooms are extremely spacious with very large closets, and I love that my bathroom is attached to my bedroom. I am very impressed with the maintenance staff, as they are extremely quick to respond to any requests I have, and the office team is super helpful and friendly!

This place is amazing. There is spacious living arrangements here, and a club house too. I recommend taking a tour If I was you!

If you’re looking for something spacious, then this is the place to be! Nothing beats this place! Plus the office team is always willing to go above and beyond to accommodate any situation. Love the changes they have also made in the past year! Just resigned for another year

This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in, yet it is $100-$120 more in rent than any other place I've lived at. The carpets were all stained with pet urine, the place smelled horrible, there was trash everywhere. I had to take a day off of work to clean the whole place and had to fight the staff to get compensated for it. The carpet issue was addressed same day because modernistic happened to be on site, but then one of the managers told us to go ahead and move in the same day, which means we had the pleasure of moving in on soaking wet carpet that smelled so strongly of orange sanitizer that my nose was raw by the end of the day.That same move in day I realized our back entry door was busted and would not lock. I went to the office to let them know and to ask for it to be fixed immediately in order to feel safe, but no one came to fix it that day. The only reason we got it fixed was my roomies mom pulled a random temporary maintenance worker off the street and showed him everything wrong in our apartment. After he agreed that our apartment was "fucked" he made sure to alert the actual maintenance team to fix it for us. I would also like to talk about the leasing incentives we were promised, because these fell way short of my expectations as well. First of all, any gift card that you are promised is an egiftcard from a third party. Cardinal, which is Canvas's parent company awards you "points". These "points" can be redeemed for gift cards of you choice through a third party company. This company charges you fees to redeem you gift card. So, to pay rent with these "gift cards" like I am planning on doing, I have to give up points to even get the egiftcard. My roomie and I calculated that our $500 gift card could at most get us $480 after being charged redemption fees.Then the leasing office charges their own fee to use the card to pay rent so you lose even more money We were living here about a month before a manager would get back to us to come over and look at all of the issues in out apartment. We had a water heater that leaked so our whole basement was damp ever since we moved in, and we had MOLD growing on our baseboards (confirmed to me by a modernistic worker). We got the water heater replaced, and the moisture was removed by modernistic, but our basement is starting to smell damp agin, so I doubt the situation will ever be 100% resolved as long as we are living here...

I have never had a worse experience with a living center in my entire life. The prices are outrageous. The management is inflexible, not understanding, and very difficult to communicate with and work with. I would not recommend Copper Beech Allendale to anyone under any circumstance. The management is rude and not professional. There are outrageous expectations from residents, and the safety of the apartment complex is always under question. There are break ins and shootings and the management does nothing about it. When a question is posed to management, there is either no response, or a rude and not understanding and not flexible response. Management does not care about the resident's happiness, satisfaction, or well being. I would not recommend living here if there is literally ANY other option.

Make sure to read your lease contract, There are many small things that they will enforce to rack up a big fine total. They will never work with you or your situation as they are a big partner of ProCollect, a persistent collections agency.

Copper beech is a great place to live as a college student. It's spacious, you have your own bathrooms and showers. Everything is included with cable, Internet, and water. You just have to pay for energy. The one thing that really gets expensive is the energy utilities. They have terrible to no insulation in the walls so during winter and summer your energy bills will rack up pretty quick. Parking is included with fees and they're pretty good with guest parking for people to come over. Great place to live.

With 4 bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths, and a full kitchen and living room there is room for all sorts of activities. Having your own bathroom is quite a luxury! Copper Beech is also extremely close to GVSU's campus and has a bus stop in it so getting to campus isn't a problem. I can't stop bragging about how much room there is in my new apartment!
