Property Ratings at Canyon Crest Village Apartments
We have been dealing with excessive noise, particularly from loud bass speakers playing music frequently, even during late hours such as 2am and early mornings like 7am. One morning, I was woken by deep bass music at 7am while trying to recover from COVID, which was observed. We have reported the incidents to the apartment managers several time with video evidences and have them check them out when it happened. There were little improvement but never stopped. If you are those people who need quite time to study or to WFH, I would not recommended this place.
The parking here sucks! They only have three visitor parking spots that are taken up by broken down cars covered in spider webs!! Management says they will notify the owners to move their cars but it’s been over two months and nothing has been done. Also parking inside the complex is even worse because there are so many open parking spots and apparently every spot is assigned to someone so if we park there we will get towed; it should be first come first serve(for the extra parking). But most of the extra parking is taken up by broken down cars which in our contract it’s not allowed. Management needs to fix the parking situation because I spoke to my neighbors and everyone feels the exact same way.
This place claims to be pet friendly but they are NOT!!! On our first day here, in the middle of moving in our stuff we get called about a complaint that our dogs are barking and told if we get another complaint there would be a fine. THIS WAS THE FIRST DAY. A week later we get another complaint that our dogs were barking and it could be heard in the office. We were located directly behind the office. Of course they can hear dogs barking. We had a camera and told them the animals were barking for less then 2 minutes but they said one more complaint and we would be kicked out. This made us so paranoid and scared. Later on when some work needed to be done in our apartment, they called and asked if they could come in while we weren’t home. We told them know due to our dogs being in the house and we weren’t there. The office attendant stated they will come another day but that are dogs SHOULD BE KENNELED when we aren’t home. ARE YOU SERIOUS, my animals should be kenneled for 8 plus hours a day while we are working???? We ended up having to change our whole schedule and drop my dogs off at our families house when we were gone, so we wouldn’t get kicked out of our apartment. Also the grounds aren’t well taken care of as well as a filthy car in the car port next to ours that was just sitting there, yet the lease stated we could not store cars in the port
I lived here for 3 years. This was my very first apartment and first time living on my own. If I could have stayed longer, I definitely would have. Management always seemed very friendly and maintenance was incredibly helpful the few times I needed them. I enjoyed the spaciousness and layout of my apartment and the location was pretty perfect for me personally and just in general was a beautiful area. I felt safe and had very nice and equally quiet neighbors. Like any apartment in that area, it was a bit pricey, but definitely worth the comfort and peace of mind.
it’s supposed to be at smoke free community but my apartment always smells like weed and cigarettes.Vents are connected to the upstairs neighbors who smoke all the time. I’ve gone to the office for a solution multiple times and they says there’s nothing they can do about it. I can’t wait till my lease is over.
So ready to move out. Can't even get up to go to the bathroom without waking up the people below us because the floor creaks so bad. Then when my 1.5 year old daughter wakes up at 3AM I get to hear the people beneath us banging on the walls. Constantly trying to tiptoe to show a little courtesy but makes no difference floors creak bad. New carpeting was put in with no padding and linoleum makes it all worse. I feel bad for the people below us but can't make my daughter not wake up. Definitely won't be here a year from now
Walls seem to be paper thin .. Paying over 1000$ to hear the ruckus from upstairs isn't peace and quite. Parking lot is full of cars that just don't move , taking up space. Quite time is 10pm but there's a party upstairs every night . Goodbye to the peaceful apartments these use to be
The staff was amazing in showing us the apartments. The amenities are awesome with an even better price. This is a perfect place for my family. Thank you!
Location! Next to the beautiful Andulka Park. Quiet. Freeway close, although the freeways are a mess for commutes - leave earlier! Close to shopping and Downtown Riverside, UC Riverside. Buildings are showing their age! They need to remodel. Not very energy efficient. Not worth the recent rent increase!
Friendly management, quite, peaceful place to live. Salt water pool. Small work out room and across from a nice sports park. Laundry room is small and apartment is compact, extra closet space would be nice.
I've been living here for a while and I've noticed everything is fine and dandy until you have to call the office and ask them if they can come fix something and if you do it takes forever for them to come, when we moved in they told us if anything is broken or not in a working manner call us and we'll have someone come look at it. Don't get me wrong I understand there's other apartments that need tending to as well but it doesn't take days for something simple to get looked at. When we just moved in our balcony was corroded, and it was not safe at all you took one step and knew something wasn't right, I was very uneasy to go out there myself yet alone let my one year old son to stand out there. To this day our balcony light doesn't work and we told them this when we moved in, we didn't have any hot water for three days when we moved in and they said it was because we didn't call the gas company, when they made it aware that we had to hand them the account numbers of the gas and electric companies before we got the keys. So finally someone came and the water heater was turned off. Some of our outlets don't work, which they are aware of as well. And then the parking situation, you are assigned one parking and the rest are guest parking which are first come first serve, cool totally understandable but when we signed papers we were told that all vehicles must be running and no non running vehicles were allowed on property. There is no place to park! Yes its first come first serve but some people work at night and when they come home there's spaces taken up by broken down vehicles, so you'll have to park outside the gate and walk all the way to your apartment, wherever that may be. Oh yeah, no pets allowed either, I'm okay with I don't have any animals, but you hear barking coming from one apartment and cats coming out of another. Like if you're going to give all these rules make people sign paperwork agreeing to them just make sure you enforce them.
