Property Ratings at Canyon Oaks Apartments
Never doubted for one minute, from the leasing team to the maintenance men, they take care of their tenants. Pool is always clean for us to swim and someone is always ready to answer the phone in the office. Thank you , I enjoy staying here
the staff is very friendly , i love the environment!!!
I love how quiet the complex is and all the amenities. Pool is always open when it's supposed to be. The staff are friendly. The townhomes are beautiful
Beautifully landscaped and quiet. Safe with my family, the kids play great and the neighbors are caring. On site courtesy officer make us feel safe, very personable and professional.
This apartment complex left me without AC for 2 weeks in the middle of the summer. No accommodations. I physically could not live there. When I left, I turned in the keys 2 days early. they charged me a month rent claiming I had not done so until after.
The worst experience I have ever had in trying to apply for an apartment. The gave me a price Saturday morning and informed me that if I completed the application that day that would be my rent payment for the apartment. Monday Morning they called me and stated that they could offer me my deposit back as they would not honor the price they had quoted me. At 5pm that same Monday, they call me and tell me that they will honor the rent payment. I then stated to them, I had already applied to a new place, because they had informed me, that they would be refunding me only the deposit. They then they stated that they will no longer honor the refund but if sent them an email and explained everything, then maybe I could get a refund from upper management . A painful, truly awful experience.
The tenets act super friendly like they care until you sign. After that they could care less about your issues. In the first month I found 5 cockroaches and had a water leak. I put both of those issues on their portal and was ignored. I went directly in office to talk to them and they were rude to me about. Save your money and time go else where!
maintainance is absurdly long. Ive had requests in since the day I moved in over 3 months ago. It just doesnt get done. the appartments are far overpriced for what your getting as well, and are badly in need of an update.
This place is an anxiety inducing nightmare. When moving in I was unsure I even had a place to live because they would not return my phone calls, voicemails or emails. I didn’t know if I was approved to move in until the day of move in. Quite stressful when you’re moving from another city. I had to send multiple family members to the leasing office because I was getting no replies. Their only excuse was that they didn’t receive my calls. Once I moved in I made sure to account for any damage in the apartment I did not have that much trust in these people on day 1. For the small things that needed repair it took maintenance months of bothering maintenance to fix. Something as simple as a closet clothing rod they didn’t fix before I moved in took 2-3 months to repair. If you tried calling them today, you probably wouldn’t get an answer no matter how many times you call. Their excuse is always our phones are not working and obviously they wouldn’t bother to notify the tenants of that matter. You would have to waste a lunch break to and go to the office for the same excuse every time. It’s been 8 months and I’m beyond excited to move out of this madness. I work in the neighborhood and a co-worked lived here in 2008. She moved out of this place because it was horrible back then. How these people get away with their poor management for YEARS is beyond me. Now, this may just be me, but every apartment I’ve lived in Govea me a receipt for paying my rent. Don’t expect that here…they won’t even take your card or let you pay online. As far as maintenance requests make sure you document everything, they will claim you never asked for anything done. If you have dogs, then don’t expect maintenance to come in while you’re at work unless they’re locked up. If they figure out they aren’t they won’t bothering going in even if you have a rodent problem. That’s another issue you may have to deal with. You WILL have RODENTS OF SOME KIND living in your walls that have access to your food because of man made holes. What will they do though? Well once you’ve called the office 12 times during your breaks at work without answer, you want to ask your mom to help by trying to get through on the phone with them. Once that doesn’t work, you spend your lunch going back home so you can talk to a human being. Now, you’re in the office all they will do is go and look at the holes that they created and take pictures. Now you would think this would call for immediate response, but they’r
We love the location that we live in! Close to great schools and shopping centers. The management has always been helpful to us. We have lived here for 3 years already! No complaints so far.
I’m having to move since I now need a three bedroom but if it wasn’t for that then I wouldn’t be leaving at all! The office staff are amazing and so friendly. The on call maintenance and trash pick up are great features about this pace. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a one or two bedroom to live here.
Since moving to Canyon Oaks Apartments, I couldn't be happier! I have wonderful neighbors and there is a great sense of community. The apartment staff is friendly and professional and always quick to respond to any need or concern. Having 24 hour on-call maintenance service and valet trash services is a huge plus! Absolutely love the outdoor living space, from the beautiful landscaping and mature trees, to the enclosed dog park for our 4-legged family members. There is no place like home!!!
I have lived in this beautiful complex since July. I Love It! From the people in the office to the maintenance and support staff this is one of the best communities I have ever lived in. I have seen the property transform over the last few months and I plan on being here for a very long time. Its hard to find a place in apartment living where you say, "I love coming home!" Thanks CAnyon Oaks, You rock!
The worst apartment experience I have ever had. I have lived here 2 months and have endured multiple maintenance issues. Upon move in, the kids bedroom has a busted wall outlet with exposed metal prongs. How did that even pass inspection? The upstairs floor sags terribly with loose floorboards. They keep saying they will have it looked at with no luck yet. Our roof has had a leak for over a month now. Upon first reporting the leak, they patched the ceiling without stopping the leak...brilliant! Many many more issues, and not about room to type here. The apartment manager wants to trivialize all of it and dance around solutions or offering any meaningful concessions. I definitely would recommend looking elsewhere. I am counting the days until my lease is up.
These apartments have a lot of space and is located in a quiet neighborhood. Pet friendly no matter the breed, indoor sauna and hot tub. A medium sized pool with laundry and workout facilities. I can see myself living here for a long time.
Kind of out dated. Needs to be remodeled on the inside.
I really love the new management here at Canyon Oaks they are so nice! They treat everyone the same and they really try to help everyone! The staff before was rude and unhelpful,I was going to leave a bad review on them, since the new staff is here, I give them a 10 out 10. The apartment is wonderful and anyone would be lucky to live here!
We moved in July 2014, and even renewed our lease an additional 6 months. They recently got new staff and we're not fans. I used to be able to call up Jillian/Hailey/Shelby and they'd always be happy to help me right away, no questions asked. The new staffed always seemed "bothered" by anyone who comes in, and everything is textbook now so you have to pull your own weight to get things done. But the complex itself is great, neighbors aren't a bother, and maintenance guys are really cool.
We are very happy living here at Canyon Oaks Apartments. The office and management staff are very easy to work with and are helpful. The apartments are very centrally located to major highways. The complex is kept clean the tenants are very friendly. I would recommend these apartments to everyone.
When we moved across country for my husband's work we frantically looked for a place in San Antonio. Knowing knowing about the neighborhoods, we had to make sure we could find a place to accommodate my husband, my toddler, my two very large dogs, and I. All in a good area and for a reasonable price. Canyon Oaks Apartments offered all this plus a dog park, pool, hot tub, sauna, exercise room, and club house with availability to rent. Not to mention, this complex is a smaller one, so parking isn't ridiculous. The only reason why they did not get a 5 star rating from me was because in our first 7 months of living at our apartment, the property manager was difficult, to say the least, which resulted in us dealing with a flooding issue in our sons bedroom for 7 months. However, there is now a new, lovely property manager. Maintenance is great and always comes to fix whatever your issue may be, staff is friendly and professional and residents are nice and respectful. The location is perfect, with in minutes of all major highways. Dont expwct luxury, the buildings are all older but over all, a great place to live.
The office staff don't care or even bother to care. We were looking at getting an apartment here and the way they handled the whole process gave me a great indication of how the lease term would be so we walked away. If you want a complex/staff who truly care about you as a customer/person this is not the place to go.
