Property Ratings at Canyon Point
Worst place ever! Constant AC issues, apartment would soar to 80 degrees by 4pm during april and may and worse during the summer. I would complaint and they would say the AC is working, TWICE I had to leave overnight because they were covering up mold with thinner that filled my apartment. Not to mention the mold from the AC leak in the bathroom. If I could give zero stars I would
Extortion ! and should be taken to court. I say all of the complaints that were on here about them charging you fees on move out should get a lawyer and put this horrible place out of business. When you give them your social security number that’s it they have you. You can pay your rent on time for 5 year. Ask for replacement blinds and things to be fixed but they will not do it. Even when you think you have been the best tenants that you could be. At the end when you move out and you pay the lasts month rent even before it is due they will extort you using your credit as leverage. They will charge you thousands of dollars in repairs (6 sun baked brittle blinds that should have been replaced asked multiple times stove burner didn’t work asked for it to be fixed $2,000 + dollars I will not pay. I will not let someone steal from me and they are thieves. They will send it to a debit collector to bug you for years. I hope someone takes you to court and sues you for all of the money you have extorted out of your tenants over the years ???? Karmas a ...... and it’s coming around ??????
No parking, rude managers, old buildings, black mold in the air conditioning vents, the air conditioner broke in my apartment every summer for three years until they finally replaced the unit. Only good thing is the maintenance guys are nice and do what they can but management ties their hands
The inside of this apartment are old n run down. Also the Community Have dogs and let the use the bathroom any where. Literally every day I walk out of my apartment there is a new pile of poop at and my door around my house. And no one cares
I only gave this place one star because I had too. If there was an option to give negative then I would. The ac never worked the whole time I was there. They kept sending people over and over but it never gets corrected. My son has health conditions that can cause over heating if the temp is too high which it stays at 85 degrees. They also found fiber glass in the unit which means we had been breathing in toxins the whole time. In the lease it says that I get off if the problem hasn't been fixed but for some reason they suck so much and lied to corporate saying we are the reason it hasn't been fixed. I asked for the number to corporate and they gave me a number that goes straight to voicemail and refuse to give me another form of contact for some reason that makes no sense. We are forced to come back to my parents house cause we can't live in that heat but yet still pay them the rent. DO NOT LIVE HERE unless you like a leasing office who doesn't care at all about you or your children OR YOUR SAFETY! Also there is sooooooo many roaches at night crawling everywhere you literally can't even take a step without getting swormed with roaches. The staff will act like they care about you but nope. Alex is a horrible manager she's always "busy" and will never return your phone call. Kim is also super fake and rude. They both have no heart.
I've lived in one of the townhomes for over 9 years. Alex, the manager, and Johnny Garza, head of maintenance have treated me very well. I recently had a plumbing issue in my home and Johnny went above and beyond to make sure the issues were promptly handled. I'd like to thank them for always making me and my family feel welcomed and an important priority to them. T Martinez
you get what you pay for, more square footage and upgraded appliances for a decent price, but the safety is what i was concerned about. Put down my deposit and was ready to move in the next month until a friend of mine told me a couple days later that she used to live there and it wasn't a safe complex. Drug Dealers, cops getting called out there multiple times, arrests, loud music, etc she also said the pools never cleaned and the walls are paper thin. Needless to say after hearing that and so much more I decided to go with another complex, lost out on my $140 deposit of course but ended up finding a way nicer apartment at a better complex down the road for an extra $30 a month. My advice if you don't have kids and your just a young couple or a single guy, go for it its cheap, but if you have kids or your a single woman living on your own, keep looking there's better complex's in the area.
This is my 2nd yr here. Management is easy to work with. There were problems with the central air but have since been resolved. Mostly CPS issues. Lots of shade -only complaint is finding parking near the building. Quiet and close to stores, restaurants and churches.
I really love my apartment complex and my current apartment. The staff here is always very helpful. If you have a problem, they address it right away. I feel safe, very family oriented complex. It is located near everything, stores, shops , movies , etc. That is important, where it is located. It is also very well maintained and attractive.
A good place to live. They have a responsive maintenance staff. They just need garages on the premises.
Overall a pretty good complex. Nice pool, helpful staff, pet friendly. Maintenance guy is so sweet and great! Workout room, sauna, and laundry facility. It's old, but not falling apart. No bugs in our apt so far!
I can back up the claim of rats. Their is a huge rat problem and although they have taken measures to control the issue, the office staff still claims there is not a problem. If there is not a rat problem why are there huge industrial sized poison rat traps outside all of the buildings now?
I lived here with my mom and sister at first they were perfect apartments. Awesome neighborhood very safe. Than we got rats. Maintenance put out rat traps but in the end my cat got rid of the pest. When our lease was up they tried blaiming my cat for the holes in the cabinet that the rats chewed. Also tried saying rat dropping were from her, and that they had no records of us having rats when my mom had picture proof! Don't let their politeness get you!
