Property Ratings at Canyon Pointe
We lived here for a year, never had problems. Maintenance was very prompt in fixing our requests, neighbors were respectful, and never had any parking problems. We just moved out in the beginning of this month and they are charging us over $900 for cleaning fees for things that were documented "dirty" when we moved in. I've tried contacting the office for a week and nobody will explain the pricing to me over the phone. We took pictures of the apartment when we moved in of all the dirty spots on the carpet, microwave, countertops, and now they are charging us to pay for this. My girlfriend and I spent 5+ hours cleaning this tiny apartment and now they are charging $900 on top of that to "clean and paint". The way they've handled this move-out process has been a complete joke and we completely regret living here.
Literally one of the worst experiences of my life. Not only are their apartments unlivable and filthy but the service is atrocious as well. I went on a Friday night to view the unit offered. I was told by Edith, she "didn't have time to show me the unit." I was told I had to pay over $2000 to view it myself and if I didn't like it, I could transfer or get a refund. Complete nightmare! The unit was disgusting. Transfer of funds took an additional week after initially being told I'd have to pay an additional $2000 then wait for a refund on my first $2000. I was there WITH my moving truck and all of my belongings to find out the second apartment offered was unlivable as well. Damages all throughout, water damage, BUGS on the ceiling! It smelled of wet dog and had left over dog and human hair throughout and crumbs in the drawers. I had to make an emergency move 30 miles away then spend another 30 miles to return my moving truck. Edith, the office person, was completely cold from the beginning. Kim, the area manager, ignored my last email and was very, very short in the few uncaring emails I did receive from her. Oh and it's been a month and still haven't received my refund. RUN FROM THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX!!!! Atrocious.
The absolute worst place to live. Old, dirty, and falling apart.
This was my first apartment after graduating college. I had lots of questions and concerns, and they answered them all while making me feel welcome. The grounds are kept nice and you can tell they frequently update buildings and units. The maintenance is friendly and responsive (and they have TWO pools!). Very happy here!
