I have been living here for over 2 years now, and cannot recommend the Canyon Resort at Great Hills Apartments enough. The environment is nice and quiet, but close enough to everything you need. The property management team are truly there to serve the tenants. Whenever I reached out for assistance, they were quick to respond, and always pleasant to work with. The maintenance staff are also friendly and quick to address any maintenance requests. If you are looking for a place to stay, I would highly recommend the Canyon Resort at Great Hills!

I have never lived in an apartment community that is as peaceful and quiet as Canyon Resort. A true oasis of peace within Austin city limits. Most mornings I am trying to identify the different types of birds that are sining as i sip my coffee on my patio. I highly recommend this beautiful community!

This is a hidden Austin Oasis! And a win for me. I'm a nature person and a peoples person. The neighbors are kind and seem to enjoy the seclusion of it all. The deer are a plus. I haven't encountered any major pest issues, but I keep some type of pest repellant, after all, we're in the woods. This has been a game changer for me.

I must say this was the best apartment and location that I have visited on my apartment search the location is perfect the green belt few, the family of deer that visit everyday. Miss Olivia in the office was so polite and welcoming the tour she gave was amazing I signed my application in the parking lot be I left I was so excited.

I love the pool here. I went to one of their events and it was live. My friends came. It was fun. We had music. And its right by the skating place.I wish we could move here. We’re ready to leave Wells Branch.

A hidden gem tucked away amidst serene forests, offering a peaceful retreat from city life. The management team, led by Greg, is incredibly helpful and attentive. Olivia, in particular, goes above and beyond to ensure residents' needs are met promptly and with a smile. DO NOT RENT HERE, the management is rude and unreasonable. Over a holiday weekend couldn't make payment, but tried set to up for July 5th. They still charged me $191 late fee, refused to take my rent payment without it and 2 days later I had an eviction notice on my door!!! They will find a way to burn you, there are so many other more resident friendly apartments - please stay away from here!!!!
It's a quiet community, tucked right into the hills of central austin. The people are kind, the neighbors are respectful. The only real downside is the parking.
Everyone has been wonderful and most attentive. So grateful I'm here.
I really enjoy living here although I admit that the rent is a little high.
This property is very uniquely built in one of the last, peaceful and most precious natural settings anywhere. While living here I have seen the local Whitetail deer, fawns, does and trophy sized bucks as well as Raccoons, Rock squirrel, Grey fox squirrel, Ring tail cat, Blue heron, Broadwing hawk and many other local birds. ?? This is a wonderful homelife.

Great location, service, amenities, beautiful grounds, quiet neighborhood and complex.
Canyon Hills Resort is the best apartment complex I have ever lived in. Very polite neighbors, apartment management communicates effectively (especially during the winter freeze we had), beautiful surroundings and excellent maintenance department.
Lots of roaches, but otherwise a great place to live!
The valet trash service which is even more expensive now, is not consistently reliable.
I would recommend this complex, it feels very safe for both my wife and I and we have had positive interactions with our neighbors. It is not the most glamorous complex but the price is great.
We walk our dog 3-4 times a day and see lots of dog poop every time. Everything else is perfect!
Location and prices are "currently" reasonable.
Consider you will be charged random fees while you stay at his apartment from random water service billing to random trash service billing that is inadequate at providing the appropriate service. You will be deducted charges from your deposit for normal wear and tear that occurs from living for 3 years here and they will condescendingly go over those said charges, while giving no explanation, knowing they already have your money. This place was ripoff considering we were decent people, who tried their best to leave it the best we could. We even got a cleaning crew and they charge us for forgetting our paper blind, and drawer placements that we accidentally left, $150 gone. Not to mention over the course of our stay, the numerous amount of annoyances we had to put with. At least we don’t have to listen to the water heater all the time now. We are not happy with the experience, I wouldn’t recommend putting yourself through it.

I have A very high respect for this current staff in the office and in maintenance. They are extremely personable and informed. They have supported my needs and requests rapidly and well, plus they go the extra mile by setting up food trucks to come which has been great! they also keep us informed via email. On site Maintenance has worked hard to answer calls and respond immediately. Tristan does a remarkable job of listening and repairing. He even made a check up call on a Sunday when he wasn't on call to assure that the situation with the water heater we discussed on Saturday was resolved and would keep me from having to repeat the issue to his coworker the next day. BJ (can't remember his name) is always visible as he scans the grounds periodically and answers questions if stopped. He has also come late at night in the past to deal with a/c repair. This group works together very well. Better than any other.

the only reservation I would have in recommending this apartment community is the shockingly prohibitive policy of requiring tenants to move out for renovation instead of the more common and humane policy of renovating when tenants leave because they are not renewing their lease.
Rent is high for the value. Shower doesn't get hot most of the time, residents in other units have said the same. There are often nails/screws in the driveway. Parking is limited and often can't park anywhere near my building if I get back after 10pm. Multiple roof leaks and multiple attempts at having it fixed (and non matching paint to cover water stains) - I think it is finally resolved but was a pain when water was dripping from the walls and ceiling. Cost for valet trash is excessive. The location is great, and traffic noise is minimal. The apartment layout is nice and the view is good. Neighbors for the most part have been good. Kitchen is a good size for an apartment.

This stunning location in the greenbelt is enhanced by the layout of the complex. Creative floor plans enhance the view by making it visible from every room through spacious windows and balconies. Silence, wildlife, and multiple walking options also enhance this location. I encourage people to come look at the amenities, inside and lout, and decide if this could be a place you call home as I have for many years.

These apartments are in a nice setting, but they are certainly not luxury. Their standards to make a unit move-in ready are low, but the standards they hold you to when you move out are totally unfair. I requested updates for my old appliances and peeling countertops and cabinets. I was told that my unit was in fact overdue for an update, but it was not on the list for renovations. Mgmt knew that the unit’s fixtures were old and in need of replacement, and yet I was charged for paint, carpet, cleaning, even the drip pans in the stove, as if the wear and tear of several years was my fault. I was charged for broken blinds that were that way when I moved in. I was charged for crumbling pressboard in the baseboards and cracked caulk around the bathtub. They obviously did not care about preparing these “luxury” details for me when I moved in, but they were happy to use them as an excuse to charge me when I moved out. Would not recommend renting here unless you are prepared to meticulously document everything and flood maintenance with requests on day one to save yourself from surprise unjust charges.

Great property, great amenities, and great location. Price was reasonable too.
I am not at the apartment yet, however it has been a good experience so far.
Location of the complex is perfect. The community apartment is very calm and friendly. Maintenance is very good.
The place is nice, the property management persons are perfect.
It is a safe and quiet community. I would like to see more sidewalks and maybe a dog park incorporated in the near future.
I would recommend this apartment community to a friend or family member because of the peaceful I experienced upon entering the property
It is nice and quite, tucked away in the canyon. It is very peaceful and relaxing.
The entire team of Canyon Resort are competent, friendly and knowledgeable. They make living here enjoyable along with the beautiful surroundings.
If you like cold showers this is the place for you. Do not sign a lease here. It’s like a college dorm here where if you plan on shower between 7AM-9AM or 6PM-11PM you will be taking a cold shower. They refuse to fix the issue. This is your warning. They will lie to get you sign the lease.

Maintenance is good and I would recommend the community based on that. Otherwise, I do not recommend the community for the following reasons: - It is not a good value for the money. - High rent. - Painting & "renovations" completed by previous property management company were very poorly done. Horrible quality. - I have peeling paint on all of my kitchen and bathroom cabinets. No telling what kind of paint toxins are getting into the food in my kitchen. - The painted formica counters look cheap and are an ugly color. - The painted railing on my back porch is peeling and you can see 3 different layers (colors) of paint. - The carpet was not replaced in my apartment before I moved in, and it should have been. - The master bathroom and closet have flooded 5 different times due to faulty pipe in wall that floods any time the outside water faucet is turned on. To this day, I do not think that the issue with the pipe has been addressed. - Sometimes I can smell cigarette smoke that comes through the vents in my apartment. (I am not a smoker.) - I can hear my upstairs neighbors all the time, walking across the floor and playing with their dogs. I can hear the dogs running and barking. - It took months for the mail room to be refurbished and secured. It is ridiculous that the USPS had to stop delivering mail for a week because of mismanagement of this area.
It's a beautiful area , very good customer service , clean community. Apartments clean . Good security
The Maintenance Mgr has always exceeded our expectations. They are All quick friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
