Yes, it's called Capitol Hill -- but it isn't the capitol and there's no capitol building. So how did this Seattle neighborhood get its name? Back around 1900, a real estate developer renamed the burgeoning community from "Broadway Hill" to "Capitol Hill" because he wanted the capitol to be moved from Olympia to Seattle. That never happened, and the quirky neighborhood kept its new quirky name. Capitol Hill is the neighborhood for those who love nightlife. As Seattle's premier place to party, Capitol Hill is home to coffee houses, taverns, bars, nightclubs, and theaters.
Home to artists and musicians, Capitol Hill features a variety of festivals and events throughout the year, and it is home to the Capitol Hill Arts District. College students also find their way to the Hill, which is home to Seattle Central College and is just south of the University of Washington.

Connection on Broadway is a lovely, brand new community in the heart of Capitol Hill. So far, the apartment has been great. It has the newest features and the view is amazing. Since new management, this place has become determined to charge you through the nose, and offer nothing in exchange. Let's take a journey and see what $2000/mo rent and $300/mo parking gets you: I was locked out of my unit for 6 hours, and both their after hours lockout and emergency maintenance numbers were unreachable. Only when the 1 security guard for 4 buildings found me preparing to sleep on the lobby floor did I get back in. But now, the building announced security can no longer help with lockouts. Packages will get stolen within the hour, unless you sign up for an unreliable personal delivery to your door. Toilet broken? Gas leak? No heat in 30deg weather? No emergency maintenance, see you in 1-3 business days. Stuck outside in 40deg rain without your phone? Tough luck, there's no lockout help. But don't worry, if you do enough tasks on their app, you can get a $5 gift card.

I love living in this community. While the apartments have undergone many changes since our arrival, the staff seem to have managed great! The apartments themselves are brand new, spacious, and the design is intuitive. There are various recreational spaces that are absolutely fabulous! The location is the best in Capitol Hill. There are three buildings to choose from, each with its own unique appeal. The staff has been responsive, courteous, and always welcoming when I visit the office.

The reviews about having a hard time contacting the office is true. It’s terrible. I called the number on Google to inquire about leasing and it goes to their answering service. I was given a direct line, left a voicemail and still no return. I’m concerned that if it’s like this normally, how do tenants get their concerns addressed in a timely manner? Other reviews stated the managers number: voicemail not set up. Update: I had to email them. (Rather than making sure someone returned my calls.) I was able to schedule for a viewing but due to the snow, we rescheduled for 12/31/21. I get there, offices look closed. I call the answering service and the confirmed the office is open. No one ever showed up. Unprofessional. I don’t know how this is ok and continues to run like this even when the manager has promised changes over the last few months based on what I’m seeing on the reviews here. I’ve noticed a lot of open apartments. Some haven’t been filled since they opened and now I see why. I hope current tenants are able to post honest reviews to help others out. There definitely needs to be some changes when they’re charging a premium.

Location is good and the building is new, so there is that. The buildings are a smokers paradise. People smoke in their units, on the sidewalk right outside your window, in the entry ways, everywhere and mgmt does nothing about it. Even members of the leasing team smoke in areas designate as non-smoking, it's terrible.
