Property Ratings at Capitol Gateway
I have had nothing but problems since moving to Capitol Gateway. Issues that existed the day I moved in have yet to be addressed almost two months later. Office staff neglects to return voicemails and emails the majority of the time and they fail to follow through on their promises all the time. No matter how many times you bring a problem to their attention they just blame someone else and tell you they'll get it taken care of (which is a lie). Trash frequently piles up around the dumpsters attracting rodents, pests, and making the courtyard smell awful. In my many visits to the leasing office to discuss the issues with my unit I have hardly ever seen the Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager in their offices and when they are there the staff tells you they are busy and will not let you speak with them. There is often yelling and loud music late at night, and there are a few residents with loud exhaust or dirt bikes that treat the public roads around the community as their personal race track. I am severely disappointed with my experience here given the cost of rent and I am actively looking for alternative housing options. Save yourself the headache and lease elsewhere.

I’ve been here a year, and it seems like they charge you more and do less for you. The pool has been closed most of the year, and it’s now July... the management team has no accountability, and notice for events or anything else you can count on showing up late, if at all. Their text system is just as bad. The day before a holiday they decided to close the office at 4 and I received a text notice at 5. It may just be me but why would you close early the final day to turn rent in on time without being penalized? They still havent fixed issues with some of the things I’ve complained about (Broken locks and other security matters). Overall it’s a good location for those who take Marta in Atlanta. So there is one benefit.
Do not , I repeat , do not move here unless you’re completely desperate. The appliances never work, I’ve lived here for a year, my AC and heat have gone out over 10 time. My refrigerator and stove have stopped working over 10 times. The maintenance office does not exsist. It is almost complicated to get into contact with someone about you’re issues unless you walk to the office and show your frustrations and make sure you do it before 4pm. They don’t care about their people. You WILL have several complications . I would invest in a microwave and and plug in mini stove top. Or pe prepared to eat take out a lot , because you’re appliances will never work . I wanted to give them 0 stars, but that wasn’t an option.
Since I am not able to really post how I really feel. Just don't do it! My car got broken into , my truck got stolen within a month, let's just say that,
I stopped by the leasing office after viewing several options in the area, I spoke with a Jarrod whom was very short patent and unconcerned if I lived there or not. I waited patiently while he talked over personal business on the phone and joked with his co-worker Robert. During this time they talked about the tenants and there personal business out loud and giggled at female tenants. I notice that there were only men there which made me uncomfortable to start but continued to listen to what was being said, after all they didn't seem to mind who heard them. It was to much for me and another guy who left feeling displeased. Absolutely NO customer service skills. I leased a unit down the street and am very happy I did, that staff will bring down that community and laugh the entire time while doing so. I PASS ON CAPITAL GATEWAY.

My A/C went out on a Saturday evening in June. I left numerous messages on the emergency maintenance line Saturday evening and Sunday with no call back. When I called the rental office Monday they said the on-call system was broken and would not compensate me for the two days I went without A/C.

This place is extremely quiet, I love it. I have lived in here for a couple of weeks and have met some really nice neighbors. I recommend this place.
