Downtown Indianapolis is a true marvel of American urban design, and is rightly recognized as one of the stylistic gems of the Midwest. The grand architecture of the various government buildings and museums ranges from neoclassical to ultra-modern, creating a timeless and visually stunning environment. Huge monuments and war memorials punctuate the landscape as well – in fact, Indianapolis has more such public tributes than any city in America apart from Washington, DC.
Downtown features a thriving nightlife scene, mainly along Meridian Street and Massachusetts Avenue and incorporating an immense selection of bars, clubs, and live music venues for every taste. The dining is unbeatable, with world-class restaurants of every description within a short walk from anywhere and the popular Food Truck Fridays delivering more eclectic fare during the summer months.

Property Ratings at Capitol Manor
I lived in this building for 2 years and had a working ac for about 5 months total. Gave plenty of maintenance requests that technician would say they resolved after just looking at the issue and never fixing it. Eventually they got it to put cold air out but then the unit proceeded to leak everywhere. So bad it caused mold in the ceiling which maintenance did nothing about either. The floors are uneven throughout the whole unit. If you spill a little water it is going to go everywhere. The plastic flooring they put over the the uneven flooring peels easily. The floor is uneven it even makes it hard to cook as everything you cook just goes to one side of the pan. The bus stop outside is also an issue. I’ve witnessed in the past 2 years 4 people expose themselves. The dark gravel lot behind the building (a gravel lot you’re not allowed to use for parking) has also been a problematic in evening. People overdosing, random late night parties, and fights are just the few things I’ve seen in that lot. There are a lot of reasons I can give for someone to not move here. Core Redevelopment has multiple properties and this building is clearly the least important to them. I will receive messages and emails notifying me of other properties issues being addressed and solved, while waiting on a maintenance request I put in a week ago. There is a lack of consideration and communication from them when there are legitimate issues. Do not live here
Nice apartment. Great price for the location. Sent a Maintenance request online, allows you to set an appointment. My request was next day. He came on time and handled It. Quiet neighbors. No pest.
I currently live here and this place is absolutely terrible. I was in a rush to move downtown so I moved here. The apartments are not well taken care of AT ALL. I had to wash paint off of my floors for hours because they did a quick terrible job at painting it. I am pretty sure I am the only person who has ever vacuumed the carpet. The floors are so unleveled everywhere, and it causes mold problems in the bathroom. The sinks do not drain correctly even after they fix them. There was a fire in the back of the apartment about 3 months ago and it is still a mess. Parking is impossible sometimes. The windows do not keep heating or cooling in the apartment. The hallways smell terrible all of the time. It is a terrible place to live. If I could give it 0 stars I would.
