I don't even know where to begin, but the team here is amazing! They have helped me so much! My situation was not normal and was a bit frustrating but they worked with me through all of the delays, kept in contact through the whole process and helped me with all of my questions! The property has been through a lot due to the hurricanes but they kept us in the know and were incredibly helpful and sympathetic through all of the repairs! I had some issues with my AC due to the hurricane that were resolved same day! I also had an issue with my account and again they exceeded my expectations by looking into the issue immediately and resolved the matter within the hour! I'm so happy I chose Captiva. Yall are amazing ! Thank you for all that you do!

I moved down to Florida for school and needed somewhere that was safe, affordable, and close by. I am impressed by how clean and nice everything is, as well as how safe and quiet the community is overall. Whenever I've had an issue maintenance will resolve it quickly and they're very nice. They recently renovated the laundry and gym and so far I am LOVING IT. If you're moving and looking for a place to live, this is a great affordable option. Especially for the area.

I've been living here for almost 1 year. The one-bedroom places have ZERO counter space. Literally, all you have is the kitchen and sink. Most people had to buy their own island, tables, etc since there is no area to prep your food. The gates never work and people follow you all the time. Haven't seen anything bad happen but its Tampa we have one of the highest crime rates in the US. It's not bad here. People with small dogs don't tend to clean up after their pets and those are the bombs you can't see. That's the shitty part.Besides the place being pricey its not bad. I don't like that my guests have to walk through my closet to get to the bathroom. That's also annoying

I really just want to know why there are so many fires in this place there has been like 5-6 fires in the last few years like they can’t even build the apartments as fast as they are burning down. All they care about is the pool and other visuals that are not important the stairs on the building are falling apart no parking whatsoever so you’ll have to walk a good 7 minutes to get to your home from your car and if something breaks in your apartment it will be broken for months lets be realistic this place is one disappointing disaster after another
No one ever answers the phone when I call the front office I always have to drive up their. When I walk in, their is one woman who never says “be right with you” or even acknowledges you’re in her presence. Even when she’s not with another client. Just sitting at the computer doing paperwork she can put on hold to acknowledge a tenant who needs assistance. She always looks mean and has an attitude if you approach her. She makes me want to move. They say they are making all these upgrades and changes to the property but I lived here almost a year and none of that has been done. Lots of false promises to get you in the property. Horrible customer service in the office except for Janet.
They have ONE "visitor" parking spot in the front parking lot for about 20 units! One can clearly see that there was once at least one "visitor" spot per unit, but they (very poorly) painted over them all, leaving one. I had my parents come visit for the holidays and they had parked in one of the poorly painted spots. They went out the next morning to find their car gone. At first thinking it was stolen, as the front gate is never locked or closed, we went into panic mode. We went to the front office to see what happened. The lady that we dealt with was very rude. "It was towed for not being in designated "visitor" spot". I told her it was and tried to show her a picture of the exact spot where "visitor" clearly was visible through the faded paint. Very confusing and unclear. She would not even look at the picture. I demanded she pull it up on security camera and pointed out you could see "visitor" even in the dark. She called the tow co. and told them "no charge", never even apologizing. It would have been $250 if we had not spoke up against what seems to be quite the scam.
I've lived in many places. In many different states and countries. The staff at captiva is beyond reproach. Professional, kind, and they treat me like a part of their family. Good times and bad they are there. I've never had a maintace issue go undone or feedback ignored. Ill be here for a while. Thank you so much for all that you do, truly feels like home
Went to the office countless times asking them to fix my ceiling, it has been messed up since Irma it is now the beginning of November, the fact that it’s messed up is ridiculous. When I went up there this last time I’ve had enough, I did not want the run around tell me when someone will be inside my apartment fixing, after all I should have he right to know or be there if I choose I pay 800 for a one bed room apartment. The lady yelling at me from another room and is getting mad I’m asking questions she is unprofessional and I would never talk to someone like that while I was at work it’s unnecessary and uncalled for. I will not recommend moving here not only are they slow on maintenance inside of your apartment, parking sucks, the gates are always open, and worst of all they don’t care about the people who LIVE here !
I moved in to and problem after problem I do highly suggest living here if you Apartment full of mold and don’t worry they only take two months to actually there job Slow to non working maintance Gated apartment that never close the gates down Broken down laundryroom The list goes on and on!!!!! If it wasn’t for the ladies in the front desk I would have filed complaints and got a lawyer immediately fortunately I’m moving and will never come back
I relocated from KCMO the end of April. I was previously approved for apartment the day after I got in town. After a family member told me I wasn't in the best part of town, I called the office at Captiva Club and spoke to Sherry as i'm driving back from Orlando. I explained my situation to her and she said they could help me out. She had an apartment that just came available but wasn't ready to be shown or rented yet. As soon as I got in town I went straight to the office and I got my approval the next day. By the end of the week, they had the apartment ready for me. Not only was the office staff great and very personable but big Kudos to the maintenance staff. Moving my things by myself, two of the guys helped me get my mattresses upstairs. The apartment is GREAT!!! It's 1100 sq. ft. of happiness. My neighbors are nice, and people are very mindful about others in the dog park with their dogs. And the convenience to the highway, grocery stores, and beaches are great. Hopefully when my friend and her husband from Kansas City, Missouri moves down, I will get them to move into the complex. Great place to live and awesome staff

For nearly one entire month (March 2017), at least 2 buildings had their courtesy lights off that light up the sidewalk, the lights above the doors to the apartments unlit mysteriously, and a light in the back yard area suddenly go out. Also, the lights around the mailboxes are off too? I have been told that they are looking into it. It takes a month to fix this when TECO is available? Furthering the problem, I was sent an email from one of the maintenance guys saying my work request was done - a blatant lie (building 4533 and 4531). I cannot see my door keys because it is too dark going into my apartment! I believe it is an attempt to cut expenses as there are 2 people in the front office and there used to be 3, the block of apartments that caught fire about 2 years ago were torn down and never replaced, primer was sprayed on leaky areas and the guy never came back to actually paint. Turnover is crazy at this place - what to get out.

After numerous telephone calls and site visits, Tampa Electric made their necessary repairs. As the new Manager at Captiva Club, I am striving to resolve any issues from the previous owners that may have been overlooked. LEASING AGENTS SAY THAT YOU WILL BE MOVING INTO A "RENOVATED" APARTMENT, WHEN IN REALITY THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY RENOVATED APARTMENTS AVAILABLE. ALTHOUGH ON THE LEASE IT STATES THAT YOU WILL BE MOVING INTO A RENOVATED APARTMENT. THEY ARE ALL LIARS AND WILL GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND BEFORE ACTUALLY GIVING A SOLUTIONS TO THEIR PROBLEM. THEY ALSO HAD A BIG FIRE A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO WHERE A BUILDING BURNED DOWN, THE CAUSE? THEY HAVE "NO IDEA". YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!! MY KEY BOARD IS NOW OFFICIALLY BROKEN AND SMASHED, THAT'S HOW ANGRY I AM ABOUT THE WHOLE SITUATION. P.S. I GAVE THEM ONLY 1 STAR BECAUSE THE SYSTEM WONT ALLOW ME TO GIVE THEM 0 STARS!!!!!!!

I sincerely apologize for the situation that you experienced during your brief stay here at Captiva Club. We definitely made a mistake at move in regarding your renovated unit and I take full responsibility for that situation. You were offered the option to forego moving in. Additionally, you were offered the option to transfer to a renovated unit as soon as one become available, offered to absorb the costs for such move and reduced your monthly rent. When you opted to move out of the apartment, we did agree to refund all funds paid including the monies for the brief time you occupied your unit in an effort to make the situation right. We offer pest control service weekly. In addition, we treat all apartments as preventative maintenance prior to move in. As outlined at move in, if faced with any pest control issues, simply contact a member of the office team and you will be placed on the pest control list immediately. If it is a more serious issue, a member of our office team will walk the apartment and call pest control to the community immediately if the situation so warrants said action. Captiva Club has a strict parking policy that all residents are advised of when they sign their Parking Permit Addendum and obtain their parking permit. This addendum details the rules very clearly and you are required to read each rule and initial next to them that you fully understand them. We also advise you that there rules are strictly enforced. If a resident chooses to ignore said rules, his or her vehicle will be towed without fail. With regards to our Maintenance Team, we have strict standards that our team must adhere to and they are held 100% accountable for their behavior and performance. You have made serious accusations regarding them which you never brought to the attention of our office team. We take accusations of this nature very seriously and I encourage you to contact me personally immediately. With regards to mold, you contacted the Health Inspector who inspected your apartment and determined there was no mold in your unit whatsoever. We did indeed have a fire over 6 months ago and the cause was determined to be accidental and of no fault of ours, building wiring etc. Outside what we were told by the Fire Department, we have no information to disseminate to the general public. Again, I sincerely apologize for the situation you faced here at the community. I know it was very difficult for you however, you were offered options to rectify the situation. We wish you all the best in the future.
BEWARE! I was accepted by Captiva Club and even had a move-in date set. I gave notice to my landlord and figured I just found a great new place! Little did I know, a week later I would get a call from Captiva Club telling me the apartment is no longer available. The reason?- the tenant wanted to renew their lease, and that there were no other units available that were offered to me. Even to my displeasure of not being able to move in, I understand things change. However, when I learned they would not be giving me all my money back, I quickly learned about Captiva Club’s dishonest business practices and how callous of an organization they actually are. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! I would never have applied to the apartment if they didn't have an opening and if I was not led on by false pretenses. How many OTHER people are they telling this same story to, and stealing the application fees? Captiva Club clearly does not care of about ethics, as they temporarily made me homeless. The right thing should be done- reimburse me the money I have paid to Captiva Club.
Maintenance is unorganized and when they do coke to you rude. My neighbors are also terrible.
The best about this apartment complex is the interior room. Storage space leads some to be desired, but the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I have found it hard to find this kind of space at the prices they offer. Under somewhat new management the price might be increasing. Location is also pretty good. You are close to the bay, groceries, etc, and highways. The worst part about this complex is the maintenance. Often, issues will not be addressed for weeks or more and that is only if you constantly hound the office and force them to close the gap with maintenance. It is extremely frustrating to have necessities broken and no one to come fix. As efficient as management is at getting you into a new apartment, they are the opposite with getting anything done afterwards. I started off at 3 stars and remembering all the hassle caused, I am dropping to 2 star! In addition to this, the noise can be awful. Thoughtless neighbors, no enforcement, and thin walls with no insulation are to blame. So if space and location trump noise and maintenance for you then give Captiva Club a try!
I have lived here nearly a year now. I came for the dog park, gated community, and the upgrades that were to happen. The high monthly rent is not worth the hassle. The gates are left open all day. Yet the walk in gate that helps shorten a long walk down Kelly is locked and residents don't have a key. I have on many occasions found advertisements on my door, how are they getting in? The dog park doesn't have water for the dogs or a place to sit, so during the summer months my dogs enjoy running for 5-10 mins, and then are ready to go. Their service for repairs is beyond poor. They make appointments that they don't keep nor do they care that they don't keep them. The maintenance personnel have told the office that they had fixed the problem but it was done poorly or not completed. I have had fixes done to the drywall ten months ago that still haven't been painted. I had a leak from upstairs, they kept the hole in my ceiling for 2 weeks. I still have a gap behind my shower head that was supposed to be fixed the following day (10 months). Out my back patio, I have a cap on a sprinkler head that is a trip hazard, sticks out of the ground 6". The upgrades? They were done very poorly. New doors and hardware on old cabinets with a coat of paint. They couldn't even put the cabinet door on correctly. I don't have a living room light fixture, and have wall switches that do nothing, though other apartments do. The freon leaks out of the AC, so every few months my AC freezes over and my electric bill rises until they have the time to add some more freon. They talked about improvements when we signed the lease and the place does look better, but it's just a coat of paint, new rules, and higher rent. I'm at the top of the rent scale, and I'm not getting my moneys worth.
