Located about halfway between Nashville and Chattanooga, Manchester is perhaps best known for hosting the largest outdoor festival in North America each June, the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. The festival draws visitors from all over the country to Manchester, where the modest population balloons to almost 100,000 over the course of the four-day event.
Manchester is also revered for its excellent outdoor recreation. The Little Duck River crosses through the city and the sprawling Old Stone Fort State Archaeological Park calls Manchester home. Fred Deadman Park, Dave King Park, and Manchester Recreation Complex are among the city’s popular recreational destinations as well.
Manchester offers cultural and artistic amenities with the Manchester Arts Center and Arrowheads/Aerospace Cultural Center. Vast stretches of farmland lend a peaceful atmosphere to Manchester, while numerous wineries and distilleries sit within easy driving distance.

Property Ratings at Carden Estates Apartments
My husband and I moved in here after getting married and stayed here for about 2 years before buying a house. It was really a great experience for a first home! The landlady that was there the longest during our stay was wonderful but she was replaced shortly before we moved out. The previous one handled a noise complaint I filed literally minutes after sending her an email about it. She left her office and went directly to my neighbor's door and "off-handedly" mentioned how loud his music was, and then proceeded to discuss late rent with him, all the while keeping it a total secret that someone complained about him (I could easily hear the conversation happening in the hallway lol). I wholeheartedly appreciated that Although I didn't get to know the new landlady very well, I can say she was very friendly and understanding when we had some issues during our house buying process regarding whether we'd be able to move out on time and such, she happily worked with us and the whole moving out process went quite smoothly thanks to her In our case, they did not try to take advantage of our bank account when doing the final walkthrough. While we did leave our apartment in good shape, there were a couple small things I was afraid we might be charged for due to my cat. They only took a very small portion out of our deposit for a couple missing blind slats, we got the bulk of it back. Also, when we had first moved in, the place was very clean to the point you could still see the vacuum streaks in the carpet, which by the way, as far as I understand, gets replaced before each new resident moves in Whenever there was an issue, the handyman fixed it promptly and correctly They do regular pest control and have the schedule posted in the first floor hall. Other upkeep that may affect residents was always posted about on the complex entry doors several weeks in advance We had a 2 bed 1 bath unit and I was obsessed with all the closet space. We didn't have a ton of belongings being newlyweds, but still, we were able to hide all our junk easily. We loved the walk-in closet! We liked how roomy the master bedroom was. The place felt very spacious for being 960 sq ft Also, these are not sketchy apartments. I felt very comfortable and safe living here I could say a lot more but I think you get the idea. This was a good place to live. Lord willing we don't ever have to rent again but if we did for some reason, I'd totally go back!
The apartments have been here for several years. My sister lived here when they first opened up about 10-12 years ago. The property has been taken care of exceptionally well.
My boyfriend and I just moved in and have enjoyed our time so far. When we visited the office, the manager, Angela, made us feel welcome and even let us view her own apartment. The property is very clean and well maintained. The manager, maintenance man and cleaning lady live on site so if we need anything, they are readily available. You must pass a criminal background check to be approved so it is a very safe place to live and raise a family. We love it here so far and look forward to calling it home for the next little bit.
We were looking for something that would accomdate our canine family and we found it with Carden Estates in Manchester, TN! We were able to get a short-term lease that didn't break the bank. Everyone is friendly and attentive to the new-be's on the block and the kids have adapted to apartment living quite well. The staff is friendly and helpful and you'll love Carden Estates if choose to make this your home away from home.
I just moved in and i love it. Its my first apartment and I couldnt have found a better place to start my living. The People are really nice there, and awesome maintenance workers and landlord !!!!
I have been with Carden Estates now for over a year and have found the experience very good. The management is very friendly, professional, and helpful in every way. The atmosphere in the office is very nice and welcoming. Angela always goes the extra mile to include the holidays. The grounds are excellent, always clean and groomed. I am a single middle aged professional woman so safety and comfort are very important to me. I have never felt unsafe or uncomfortable in any way.
Clean and neat. Quiet and peaceful. The management is wonderful and very helpful. We love it here.
I just have to say, Carden Estates is by far the best place Ive ever rented from. Ive only lived at two others, however, this place tops it off. The landlord is my favorite first off, she is always helpful and easy to get ahold of when I have questions or concerns. No landlord that ive ever met, has been as good as she is. And the maintaince is always kept up around here. Either its the lawn mowed or pest control inspections or whatever they are called that they do monthly. They keep these apartment complexes in tiptop shape. They continusly have the hallways and sidewalks swept or vacuumed. Im very glad to call this my home. Ive never felt more welcome living in a rental property. They definatly deserve a grade A for all there hard work and upkeeping.
My wife and I moved into Carden in Manchester, TN 3 years ago. It has been a great place to start our lives together. The neighborhood is great and continues to get better every week it seems. The new management team has been wonderful, and even send you "alerts" when an undesired visitor comes on the property! Angela does anything you need, including putting up a volleyball net and throwing parties. The maintenance man (Andy) is a jack-of-all trades, and since he lives on the property, he is always around if there is an emergency. Carden was the only apartment complex in Manchester that is dog-friendly, and they make sure the dogs are welcome as tenants too (including dog biscuits in the main office). This place has been all we could ask for and more, and we look forward to seeing Carden grow and better the entire community by doing so. -Dave and Katie
Having lived here for about 6 months now, I'm glad that I got this apartment. I have friends in neighboring locations that bemoan the fact that they didn't get in here. It seems that as soon as a unit opens up, someone is moving in. There are even occasional events for residents, such as a summer bbq or bingo. Each of the rooms are spacious, and everything is well maintained. There is a balcony or patio attached to each apartment (depending on floor) and shared laundry facilities. You do have to take the stairs if you live on an upper floor, but I at least could use the exercise. Location-wise, it is right in the middle of Manchester, just off the main road; Manchester itself is a little small, but these apartments are among the best if you want to live in this town.
