Northwest Greensboro sits just 10 miles outside the downtown area, but it provides a vastly different view of the city than the streets and suburbs around the city center. With access to Lake Higgins and Lake Brandt, Northwest Greensboro is a scenic setting that’s perfect for anyone who wants to be near urban conveniences, but enjoys the thrill of outdoor adventures and afternoons on the water.
The area of Northwest Greensboro is made up of a number of fantastic, unique neighborhoods and engaging apartment communities. The area’s vibrant outdoor atmosphere is broken up in spots by conveniently located shopping centers, big-box stores, and a few restaurants along the main thoroughfares. Bur-Mil Park provides 250 acres of pristine land set between the lakes to the north, and there are plenty of bike trails along the shores as well. Commuting to the city takes just a few minutes thanks to the interstates that serve the area.

Property Ratings at Cardinal Apartments
The staff are all incredibly nice and the space you get is great as well, but those things can easily be overlooked by the problems I’ve had. Maintenance is cool but they seem a little lazy and pest control seems to not care at all. I’ve only been here for a week, but there have already been a couple huge problems. My apartment is clearly infested with roaches, I see them everyday in different areas of the apartment. I’m losing sleep trying to keep one eye open while I’m resting because the first night there was a roach in my bed. Me and my boyfriend haven’t been able to put any furniture in our home simply because we don’t want roaches getting into anything. This is the most uncomfortable week I’ve had in my life and I am so sad with the idea that I have to be here for a whole year if they don’t fix this problem.

Thank you for reaching out and for notifying us of the condition of your home. Our team takes your concerns very seriously, and your comfort in our community is our top priority. We have our pest control stopping by, but please don't hesitate to reach out if you need assistance with anything. -The Cardinal Apartments Management Team
Just wow. I moved out of the Cardinal on Jan 15 and paid my final 1/2 rent bill . . . As a senior, I found an income restricted apartment that fit my social security income. The apartment is nice, the staff is nice (at least when I went into the office) and convenient to shopping. However . . . 1. I had signed a waiting list for the income restricted senior apartments and was awaiting notifications. 2. Having received none, I signed a lease for the Cardinal in early DEC. 3. Three days later, I received my call for income restricted apartments being open. 4. I had to buy out of that 1-year lease with Cardinal for over $1400 . . . I wrote it off as bad luck. 5. Four months later (now April 4), I receive a call froma collection agency telling me they are collecting a debt from the Cardinal Apartments for over $400 . . . no detail on what I owe, no notification from the Cardinal, just a call at 9:02 p.m. at night. I owe them nothing. This is apparently how Core Properties and the Cardinal treat tennants.

The management is good, they have a good size pool, a long with good size apartments with 840 square food for the one bedroom witch is mine! I highly recommend this place for a single family and for first time renters like my self, and with being pet friendly that made this place my #1.
Staff is lazy, rude, and incompetent. They don’t do requests or any upkeep of the property. Overpriced and disappointing
The Cardinal looks good from the outside but the apartments are old and need a lot of major repair. Due to age and poor erosion control design the drainage outlets cause flooding and mold are prevalent on first floor apartments. During certain times of the week parking was insufficient. Trash is also an issue for units. There are not enough trash units for one and I didn’t agree with paying an additional garbage fee for a valet service when it was just as convenient to walk outside and dispose of the trash myself.
Chelene showed me around the apartment complex today. I had a great experience and the staff was very friendly. The apartment was very nice and clean!
First time drop in visitor to leasing office. Beautiful surroundings and greeted by nicest young lady. Answered all my guestions and got us started on our way to a new home. Love the neighborhood feel and quietness
very spacious and very easy access. close to the things you need and far from the things you don't. quiet and very friendly staff
I am writing in review of my experience with the maintenance dept. and of the office staff. Since moving here in july of this year, I have found the maintenance dept. to be very prompt ,courteous and efficient in response to some minor issues with my apartment. the response was excellent. Within 24 hrs. my needs and issues were corrected and no further issues were experienced. The staff members were very professional and my questions were answered quickly. Additionally, I would recommend these apartments without hesitation. regards, Carl
Maintenance is a joke. You will be waiting for 3 months for a simple fix. Then they will come in whenever they feel like it, without notice. You will only know that they have been there because they will leave a huge mess for you to clean. And, surprisingly your problem will not be fixed. It's like living in a Seinfeld episode, except because it's real life, it isn't funny. We had three leaks from our gracious upstairs neighbors. Maintenance did come by to tell us they shut off the water. Buuuuttt, we were left with the mess to clean up. Mold is prevalent at Cardinal, probably to do with the ancient plumbing. I've spoke with other residents who all, yes, all, had leaks and mold in their apartment. So unless you want to wear gas mask at all times, you are probably breathing in black mold. Fun. Fun. Fun. And btw. The hot tub isn't hot. They are cheap. They want people to see the hot tub, but they don't want to pay to heat it properly. That sums up the Cardinal. All looks... but really just another trashy place. Oh, last words. Somebody got stabbed there.
The best place ever. clean and safe community. Staff is friendly and the maintenance is on top of stuff. i would reccomend this place to anyone.
The apartment is nice inside but could be much better if it had reliable staff. It's takes days to get things fixed and no one calls to let you know what is happening. If you are not home & they come to fix something you have no idea.... they leave no report like all the others I have lived in. The pool filters half work and most of the time are not on at all. At the end of the summer you could not pay me to get in that water there was so much bacteria I could not see the bottom. The hot tub has no jets that work.... never have & its been year since they have so I heard. Parking is a joke at night.... People park wherever the car will fit. Please don't waste your time! keep looking!!!
A very quiet, safe community. Well kept grounds. Maintenance and management very prompt at taking care of any concerns the residents have. I moved here in 2012, been here since, don't plan on moving. As a single person, I feel very safe here.
