Adjacent to Trenton and bordering the Delaware River, Ewing is a large township that contains the College of New Jersey and the Trenton-Mercer Airport. The township began as part of Hopewell Township and was settled by colonists in 1699. The oldest building in Ewing is a farmhouse built in 1717 by William Green, one of the area's first settlers.
To get a sense of how the area must have looked to those early colonists, visit the West Branch of Shabakunk Creek, located near the airport. This natural area covers more than five miles and played a vital role in the Revolutionary War's Second Battle of Trenton. Another great location to visit after moving to a Ewing apartment is the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park Trail, which extends along the river. The trail is 77 miles long and is popular for hiking, bicycling, jogging, and horseback riding.

Property Ratings at Carlton Apartments
Don't even try, it looks clean outside but a lot of molds and stinky smell coming from sewer, one of the maintence guy named Jimmy says the plumbing in the base always have issues. If I can put 0 review I will. A lot of residents are leaving or not paying rents. Another issue is the laundry. Very disgusting place located in the basement, always flooded.
Don’t movE in there mold grow in th apartment I had to move out after a few months in and lost all my furniture and clothes I lost everything there plus they didn’t give back my deposit of 1200 bad complex. Please don’t move in you don’t wonder why is always a speacial of a free tv and 299 security deposit ??? Think about it that the catch

We are sorry that your experience in our Community has not met your expectations. Please contact the on-site Management Office to discuss any concerns regarding your Security Deposit. We look forward to hearing from you.
Management/office staff lack knowledge and professionalism border on rude and arrogant. Repairs don’t exists or are done as cover ups only not professional work. They don’t address issues blame not correct. A lot of undesirable residents don’t feel safe a lot of drug addicts a lot of police calls, damage to vehicles. The pool is falling apart concrete falling in the pool, not enough tables and chairs, 2 small grills for entire complex. Laundry rooms floods often. Terrible sewer smells often, back up pipes etc. Horrible experience. Say pet friendly but don’t support that dogs bark, tenants complain, it’s not the place don’t let the nice pictures fool you!

I have lived here for several years. Apartments look good on the outside but they are 60 years old and once you move in you will see it. Original maintenance staff were wonderful, current staff do the minimum work necessary and have very negative attitudes. Some requested repairs never done. Complaints are ignored by property management.
I can’t imagine i been screwed of my deposits just because these people love money so much and don’t care about other people. They had me and my kids in a cold freezing apartment for two to three days, why struggling to fix a broken heater, didn’t relocate us i guess because we have accent and now that we have moved they decided to rob me of my deposits. whoever charges 750.00 for painting an apartment that was in wreck from day one.. currently i am defenseless financially but i have a God...trusting in my God to fight for me...
Spacious but overpriced. Management is rude and useless. Extremely noisy. Nothing gets done about complaints of noisy or disruptive neighbors. Updates are made but then executed poorly. Always some kind on construction or something going on that is either noisy or bothersome.

I moved in about a month ago. I had been looking for an apartment for a while in the area, and many of the newer apartment complexes are very expensive and are very small. Carlton offers nice sized rooms for the price and the layout makes the place inviting to come home to. Washer and Dryers in the unit would be a nice addition, but can't have everything. The laundry rooms are close by and are kept clean. Landscaping is well maintained, and staff is interested in getting things done. Overall very happy I choose to live here.
safe comfortable environment! I've been here for 3 years & I like it here
